Cool channel used to have some of the original Yuengling cans when I moved to PA some years ago. Unfortunately lost a storage unit and quite a few things things during some harder times
I have a cone top beer can that was painted over how would I remove the paint off the can without ruining the label I have several 16 oz flat top beer cans that I collected
@@Ibuyoldbeer I love when that happens. Have a few signs in my own garage. I grew up on the north end and live on the east side. The reason I'm watching is because I I'm trying to learn the value of a few cans I found. I found 2 Hamm's sunburst cans, 1 in good condition and 1 crumpled slightly. I also found 10 Schmidt city club cans that I think are form the late 50s, like everything elsei found nearby.
Never considered value in an old can...out in the desert...when I find old cans...I always take a moment to think about the good time being had when it was drunk. I have only took one home...it was a pretty cool Coors peel tab. It;s in my garage on the water heater.
I love going out and collecting antique rusty junk to display. I once found a Hamms flattop beer can, opened with a can opener, at the bottom of a lake. It's covered in rust and holes, but you can still see the logo clearly.
I am 60 I had a collection as a young boy I found all my cans I would search the wooded area near the railroad tracks for old camp fire sites and find old beer cans also the beach was a good place to look my mother threw out my collection I had maybe 50 to 80 cans
when I started collecting in the mid 70s me and my friend were searching under s a bridge and I found a muddy can near the river's edge. I washed the debris off and could barely make out a 0 and 7 on the top which later turned out to be a James Bond 007 Malt Liquor. I restored it and was a great can.
@@Ibuyoldbeer im hoping you have knowledge about beer labels of today that are made in a style that appears vintage... One example is: O'fallon DADs original oatmeal stout
A good tip to remember is that pretty much anything (except gold or silver coins) made to be "collectible" will pretty much never be worth more than when it was purchased.
I use to collect in the 70s . I buddy of mine found a Schmidt's tiger head ale cone top but it was printed upside down ... I'd never seen one before or since .. think the can was a 49;to 52 model year
I have really old and in good condition Anheuser Busch trunk and old wooden crates if interested. Not sure who'd want to buy it now should have sold it a few months ago to a collector. If interested that kind of thing let me know.
I have 4500 cans. Had 6,000 and sold 2,000. My cans are from all over the world, steel, cone tops, flat tops all tapped. I am actually looking to sell them. stopped collecting in like 1990. When I was in 8th Grade 1981. Beer can collecting was huge.
Howdy my friend!!! I collect and dig fo old bottles, cans and a bunch of other relics. I am trying to find a better way to clean my cans from rust, I been using lemon juice and water for about 24 hours. But it always does not work. You have any good ideas to clean rusty cans??? THANK YOU 😊😊😊 Peter-GA

There are about 15-20 different variations. From the 1930's-1990's. Between a buck and 300.00 each.

Very informative Barry, new sub here. Thanks for sharing!
Buckeye cone tops were the Holy Grail for us collectors in the late 1970s in Toledo. What's that can worth now, I wonder.
There are 3-4 different versions. A few hundred in nice shape.

I just collect beer cans and bottles and take them to my local bottle stop and get 10 cents per can/bottle
What if we have a flat top unopened (beer still in can) how much
Between a dollar and 10,000 Depending on the condition, rarity, desirability, and other factors.
what type is it?
