The defendant was 100% truthful. Why would the plaintiff have accepted $300 from the defendant, if she's claiming a price was yet to be determined? That makes no sense. She thought she was getting out good by selling off a piece of junk, and then felt envious and stupid when she saw the defendant driving around the car in perfect working order. Now, suddenly, she wants us to believe that she is entitled to a big payout for the car.
@@nicolejohnson9244How could she steal it when the plaintiff acknowledges receiving payment from her for it? That means the plaintiff lied when she said it had not been sold to the defendant and a price had not been set.
I can tell the plaintiff watches Judge Judy because of the way she reacted when she said “basically”. JJ didn’t even have a chance to tell her “I don’t wanna hear ‘basically’. Basically is a filler word.”😂
I have a pile of bricks, you can have them, build a house out of it, now the house is worth $250,000 so I'll be requiring that $250,000 now please. What planet was this plaintiff on? I wonder if they do day trips to it.
She didn’t finish paying for the pile of bricks, and built a home, how do I get my bricks back? 🤷🏿♂️ 😂 Similar to a mechanic’s lean, you don’t pay for the $1k job I keep your $50k car 🚗 🤷🏿♂️
@@gdurandeau1143I agree. Plaintiff had a long pause before saying the defendant hadn't paid her $300. Then corrected herself by saying, she did pay me $300, but in $100 increments. I'm guessing the defendant had receipts and the plaintiff knew she would be caught in a lie. However, it didn't keep her from lying about other things regarding the case.
Let's all celebrate the rarity of an honest and polite defendant! 🙌✨✨🎇🎉 It's nice to see a few people out there still have class, manners, and know how to act in court!
Who said, " I love you to Judge Judy?" The plaintiff or the defendant? And did Judge Judy respond, " I love you too?" I am curious. Thanks for uploading on a Sunday!
the plaintiff's hesitation to answer shows how much of a liar she is and she's lucky JJ didn't call her out when she lied about what she was suing for. first she said she was suing for the money but then she said she was suing for forgery. she's lucky JJ was done to even bother.
Love how the defendant is trying soon hard not to say anything and interrupt in the beginning..... And then doesn't want to upset judge judy with the cash in the car thing. Good for you !!
Plaintiff is out of her rabbit ass mind. She knows she's wrong! She's just mad because the defendant was smart enough to get the car fixed properly when she couldn't do the same in well over a 2-year period. Crazy!
Idk if it's Judge Judy's makeup artist or technology... But she looks younger as the seasons progress as opposed to those much much older episodes they post.
The plaintiff was right about one thing. Fixing the car doesn't make the defendant the owner of the car. She must've forged the plaintiff's name in order to get the title issued in her name. That's fraud. She could get her cousin locked up for that.
Nah. She agreed to $500. It is payback that now the defendan'ts beautiful daughter is making the most out that beautiful vintage mercedes that no one else has anything like it in her peer group. Righteous.
@@BiterAvid the plaintiff got the car for free. Americans are some of the most entitled people. Y’all want money for everything even if you got it free.
@@BramptonAnglican Well, this is America. She is 100% allowed to make $500 off a free car. It is the American way. It is what America is all about. I don't call that entitled, I call it way reasonable. But that's it. She does not get any more. It's a good thing all the way round.
Also, I personally just loved the beautiful defendant. Her gorgeous elegant face and her posture and her attire. She is the Real Deal. I bet that daughter with the vintage Mercedes is a complete stunner.
@@BramptonAnglicanI do agree it's a stupid deal and shows what kind of relative she is. However, JJ doesn't rule about whether or not someone is an asshole, but about the legal aspect. And this contract is legally binding
I doubt that the defendant traveled from home (very likely via air) with $200 spare cash in her wallet, no less left it in her purse in a hotel parking lot (unless she lives fairly locally, that she drove there, this would be a rental car). And, if she did bring the $200 cash with her, it makes even less sense that she did not have it with her in court (at the studio). But I especially love that JJ told her to give the cash to the plaintiff, not that she was receiving it as an award from the show.
I completely believe the defendant. The plaintiff can be visibly seen trying to work out what her story is going to be each time Judge Judy asks her a question, and even then she can't quite keep it straight. And that's after her exasperated reaction to the defendant detailing what she has already paid showed that she knows she doesn't have a leg to stand on.
I have a relative like the plantfiff. We only talk every 3-4 yrs or so. Those kind of people are very arrogant and hard to deal with. The defendant and her witness seems like cool people though
The plaintiff probably seen the car running in good condition, then wanted it back. This is why its important to write a contract. Because people will lie on a dime
I stutter. It forces me to use fillers more than even I would like. I could have all of my proof at hand and the truth could be on my side, I would never survive Judge Judy.
Who in their right mind would leave their purses or their wallets in their car!? We live in a mad society where people can break into your car and steal your wallet or purse if you leave it in plain sight; that's an open invitation for someone to break into your car. As for the plaintiff stating that she's filing a case for forgery, WRONG COURTROOM, LADY! That's a criminal case, and this judge deals with civil lawsuits. As Judge Judy would say, "goodbye!"
She never said she left it in plain sight. People leave purses and valuables in the trunk a lot. Unless I could keep my purse with me at all times, which I don’t think they can because I never see the litigants with purses, I wouldn’t take my purse in there either with all the extras and staff walking around. Sticky fingers.
Motor mounts? 😜🚙You could remove the motor mounts and the car would run. Motor mounts are just the rubber between the points of contact that hold the engine and transmission in place and they wear out, sort of like the rubbery bottoms of your shoes.
