Melting aluminum from multiple cars into large ingots

- Melting all the aluminum car parts that me and my brother accumulated over the years. In total we melted 129 kilograms of scrap car parts and where left with 99 kilograms of clean aluminum ingots.
Holy cow - its been ages. Sure glad I never go through my subscription list otherwise I would have missed this.

Btw this car aluminum alloys for example wheels, head and pistons are really good if you use it for machining after melting.

the forms are made from sand that is mixed with sodium silicate. the mixture hardens immediately when CO2 gas is added
