Thank you so much for the video. I picked up a chair exactly like yours from the curb of a wealthy family near me. It still had the tags from the store. It looked brand new. Being the scrounge that I am I grabbed it and took it home. Why would anyone throw out a pretty chair and ottoman like this? I took it inside and low and behold, a bearing, the same one you showed, was bad. I was trying so hard to figure out how to fix it or get parts. You tube! Thank you so much. Now my roommate will be happy with her new chair. I'm so lucky to live in a nice area with wealthy people who throw away nice things. Great video.

So if the bearing is greasy ir means it's about to break? All I know is I have a squeaky glider trying to figure out what's going on

How did you get the bearings out of the outer part of the chair arm? Once you remove the nut the bearing is fixed in the wooden arm.

I just used a pair of pliers and removed the bearing assembly. I had to wiggle it around a bit to get the assembly to come out of the hole made in the wooden arm. A pair of lock-jaw pliers will be easier so you don't have to grip and pull out the assembly.

Good but too much $$. Now going to a massage school instead. Half the price and just as good IMHO.

Hi ,How you take the bearing with pin out which was not damaged ? & how to take the Brocken bearing out? also please tell how you fix it if there is no right size Bearing/pin assembly in market. Thanks

take the whole bearing and stem out together. You have to take out the both bearings on the same size as the broken bearing. This chair you can't take out all bearings (like the upper ones) because there is a wooden dowel keeping the chair together and that dowel is actually glued into the chair.
You have to find the right size (diameter) of the bearing and proper length of the stem.

What size is the lock nut?

I believe it takes a 1/2" open ended wrench. But I just used the old ones still since they were still good.
