Not to mention the entirety of the Asgard database which would also include any research into Alteran technology. So, the Borg potentially could have access to transphasic weaponry (Drones) and the knowledge to build Stargates/Supergates.
I agree .. Game over. I'm pretty sure that [depending on how you want to scale] that the Trek ships should likely have been "one shot" if they'd have been directly hit by the beam weapon. This should be like fighting the Q just before they "ascended" ... I am kind of glad that the "Galaxy X from hell" was able to do something ... not sure if I was right but I still liked it :)
@@EcokadeBlogspotthe only thing of value is probably the Asgard shields, hyperdrive, naquadah/Naquadria in the nuclear warheads. An assimilated ship from Stargate? I love the modders in Star Trek Bridge Commander. They really have an awesome collective imagination that has created quite a hive of ships to choose from!
You forget that the Odyssey's plasma weapons were designed to destroy shields created by a race of people capable of crossing the distances between galaxies in hours if not days and were exploring space for millions of years before humanity had existed.
Man having a Borg assimilated Odyssey class with Asgard beam weapons...YIKES. Not surprised it took the Galaxy Class X from Hell to defeat it and same for the Section 31 Defiant from Hell lol.
Wow.. a SG-1 Assimilated ship gosh was powerful.. jeepers did not expect than, and phasers from it.. and torpedoes.. the mods are crazy.. very nice battle Retro!!!🖖
gosh that was intense i thought the Borg Odyssey is completly OP but luckely the Hell Ship and Transphasic Torps still work. thx for the upload it was interesting.
Even with out borg modification a star trek ship of the 23 or 24 century does not stand a chance as it is dealing with a ship that has tech from what would be 30 century equivalent based on the Asguard tech added and their level of tech.
I think (have not checked the files tho, I can only infer) that version of the assimilated Odyssey has two problems: First is that they added Regenerative Shields 1, thinknig that would divide the power regenerated by half or something. Issue is, Regenerative Shields 1 makes the shields not drop unless a blast is powerful enough to directly hit the hull, such as a beam powerful enough to leave the shield at 30% or less, or ignore the shields. Second is that I believe those torpedoes are projectile substitutes, their real borg or assimilated-railgun weaponry is likely missing.
Update: Idk if Retro's has another version, but the one I found has 9999 shield regeneration, that also works as a counter for pretty much any damage they could deal that was less than 9999 damage per second.
Update 2 - effectively they are missing borg weapons, something called "x303nanites" - I temporarily replaced those on my install for a variant of Borg Nanites with 750 dmg and Asgard Ion cannon sounds.
Update 3 - the models for both X303 AND BC-304 mods seem to do something weird with the shields as well, the damage bleedtrough it too high and too likely, even for a ship having 450k shield strength and 9999 shield regeneration for each side. It's the reason the Excelsior II managed to take out most of the energy weapon emplacements.
It's funny how Borg ships are by and large hilariously underpowered in this game, but the second they assimilate another race's ship it becomes super powerful.
Yeah Stargate always had the advantage on shields and speed. Perhaps weapons, as well. I really thought Star Trek Picard era Starfleet tech would be more on par, but clearly the Borg were happy to find the Tau'ri vessel.
The Borg stuff doesn't actually improve the BC-304 in most respects. The Asgard systems are superior in every way. Only thing the Borg add is the ability to quickly repair damaged systems.
@@kevinwestrom4775 TBH, I don't think there's any Starfleet weapon that would be a threat to even a non Unending upgraded 304 with the exception of Transphasic Torpedoes. That also goes for Borg weapons and probably even Species 8472 that's the level of tech disparity here.
You are wrong, from two points of view. First, let's assume that Asgard systems are superior in every way (personally I do not think it is in every way, will explain later)... the BC-304 is still a human design full of inefficiencies, even with Asgard help, and even after getting the Asgard Core, it could not use it to full, partly from energy requirements, and part from not being the latest cutting-edge technology the Asgard could not provide, the Asgard were still hastily doing upgrades to the Odyssey when the Ori arrived - even the BC-305, the Hammond-class and successor to the BC-304, still has some issues, even if it's clearly an improvement from the BC-304. Now let's assume the Borg assimilated the refitted Odyssey, allowing the ship to be far, far, far more efficient, and thus having more power and redundancies available for the Asgard Shielding and Weapons, making them more sturdy and powerful, even from just having more power diverted to them. The BC-304 could be even increasingly more upgraded if the Borg were lucky enough to assimilate the Odyssey while it still had the Asgard core with all the Asgard knowledge inside. Even without that, the railguns could be easily upgraded into something more powerful. Second, the Borg are not inferior to the Asgard in every way, some clear aspects where the Borg would be superior (apart from adaptability, but the Asgard were already fighting with the Replicators so that adaptability may not be a surprise during a fight) is in their hulls being stronger and more resistant to uncontrolled re-entrance into an atmosphere, and FTL fights, if only because in Stargate realspace FTL fights just not happen because of hyperdrives being used, so the Asgard never needed to develop standard long-range weapons. Just look at the Asgard plasma beams or Ion cannons, they are close-range compared with a Borg Cube cutting beam, or pretty much any ST space-faring civilization. Also the Borg have an advantage in regards to design, most of their vessels lack any exclusive primary systems, they are evenly distributed so the ship could still be operational even with 75% of the ship being debris.
Hey I got that same pack but can’t get it to run full screen and it’s laggy and I have a good gaming rig anywhere I can Download a setup that works better?
The assimilated 304 is quite the beast. The Defiant and GX FH had no struggle against it, though, despite its power. Battle request: could it single-handedly take on the Ori invasion force of 4 Ori motherships?
This is not the Asgard upgraded Odyssey. What you are asking for would be a slaughter.... Rbg has pitted the Borg against the Ori and it wasn't pretty for the Borg. Without the Asgard technology, this particular mod is kind of meh.
Due to weird model shape, despite the assimialted BC-304 having 450k shields and 9999 shield regeneration (more than 450% the power the asgard-refitted odyssey has), it kinda performs the same as the unassimilated unupgraded BC-304, because the shield bleedthrough on the model is bad, as if it was not covering all systems appropiately (so a small lucky hit can totally take out the asgard beam weapons and soemtimes hit the reactor), and the asgard beams on both exist and have identical hardpoints but different textures, while the assimialted one has nanite projectiles more pwoerful than the railguns of the unassimilated one but lacks naquadah tactical launchers, so overall same firepower.
No, these were not the Asgard beams. You could tell these beams were solely the borg weapons, they behave identically to all the other Borg beams in BC. Borg-upgraded Asgard beams would have one-shotted just about everything.
@@EcokadeBlogspot I checked the mod's hardpoint, the beams you see are exactly the asgard plasma beams used on the BC-304 but green and with borg texture.

This is just bad fan art. That ship would be on the level of the NX class at best. Borg enhancements wouldn't do much, as they borg claimed that even Voyager's tech was limited.
Nah the BC-304 ship is more powerful than the NX, at least on shields (which the NX class lacked), albeit Stargate shields and Federation shields worked a bit differently, on the one hand SG shields are more susceptible to certain weapons, but even a primitive Go'auld shield could stand being close to a sun for a very good while (probably because Go'auld tech is repurposed stolen Ancient tech and the ancients had experience with needing to get close to Stars to refuel some of their older ships).
