The way the Connies blew up from those Quantums strongly reminded me of how the 23rd Century USS Defiant was ripping through all those Enterprise-Era Mirror Universe ships in In a Mirror, Darkly.
I'm surprised, at first I was like "this is going to be a dog fight" but its not that the Borg ships underperformed... the Archangel is just that powerful. 💯
Hey Admiral.. gosh all those ships assimilated.. ouch.. I too like this USS Archangel.. more power the better... 5:39 all those Borg phasers looked like End Game.. targeting Voyager with the Armor. gosh. That was wicked both ways.. and a cloak.. wow.. Sorry you got ordered not .. to use the cloak. eeh.. Love the battle Admiral.!☺🖖
I’d love to see the Borg Connie bridges, with TOS style Borg at the controls with 60s style make up and costume. So they would probably have three flashing lights on their heads or something. And maybe silvery eyeliner.
Hey RB, got a interesting ship for you to check out. I'll give a brief description below but it's a federation ship called the mantis. Description: Federation Sovereign class meets Pac Man, with Excelsior back end and one HUGE eyeball for a deflector. It appears to be a light cruiser class. In the vid I watched it went up against a Romulan D'Deridex and another Romulan ship I'm unfamiliar with. This little ship (maybe not so little) quite literally mopped the proverbial space floor and came out on top. This ship might be a new contender for a Dominion war ship.
Of note, MeteoraFallen (the modder behind the Archangel) *did* make a USS Sentinel mod for BC, though it is an older model and has some scripting hiccups I'm trying to work out
@@RetroBadgerGaming the KM one is the one I'm puzzling out. MeteoraFallen mentioned it is an older model, and at one point was going to rework it (more like the Archangel), but hadn't finished it. I have some theories on the Sentinel, and hopefully can get her running, especially as she uses some interesting tech for her torp yields😎😅
You know I've always like the Soverign design. The one thing I think would be interesting since these ships are fighting in a three dimensional space would be to add dorsal and ventral torpedo launchers. So instead of just firing torpedoes fore and aft and sometimes port and starboard for specific ships, when your flying past an enemy ship and they pass above or below your ship you could fire your ventral or dorsal torpedo tubes for a bit more bang.
I found the collective to be clearly underperforming here. Maybe assimilating Voyager was a big mistake: - More and more Vinculums start suffering from Neelix Cheese syndrome ? - The word 'coffee' is going rampant and the Queen has not yet figured out how to deal with it.
I like the blue deflector of the Archangel. I recently came across a render the E-E with blue on the exterior of the deflector, and yellow on the interior. The yellow always felt off, but the combo is stunning. Wish we'd gotten more of the Sovereign class in Picard (but there's fan edits for this, too).
The Discovery got hit with a couple quantum torpedoes when they went to the future. Totally collapsed their shields, so I'm thinking they only survived on plot armor. Constitution would be similar.
Doubt it, even the Enterprise was crippled and was decommissioned before her final fiery death at the end of the movie like a warrior's send off. The Enterprise normally survived because nothing vital was hit and no structural weakness like a window on the bridge. But then again discovery was written by trash while old shows were written by the best of the best. The discovery took a torpedo to the hull which ended in sick bay if I recall and a door survived and protecting a woman admiral the denotation which should have destroyed the ship and vape the admiral(had it been a male admiral he would have). Fun fact one of the writers of TOS was a woman going under a name name at the time and she was involved in TNG as well.
7:31 "This is drone RB of G. I'm taking command of the fleet. Target all of your weapons onto the following subsystem. Fire at my command!" "Sir, the subsystem you have indicated do not appear to be vital." "You mean the torpedoes? Of course they are."
Yes, very funny. I would assume that all Constitution Class would be decommissioned by the time the Borg arrived. On to the fight. Wow, I didn't know that the Archangel was that powerful. It really is a Sovereign on steroids. I thought that you'd win the second fight, but that is one powerful ship.
I would've gone from weakest.to strongest. While you're pounding on the dreadnoughts the summer ship are picking you apart. Granted the Archangel was tough enough never forget the old warrior adage about the opponent who can't strike back.
To be honest didn't Mr Spock say they couldn't survive their OWN photon torpedo in a close range detonation? 😆 So yeah eating four quantum torpedoes probably ain't going to be a good time!
Don't forget the time in Star Trek V when Kirk calls down a photon torpedo strike on his location, runs about a hundred yards, and does the thing where the hero just barely dives away from the explosion with only a little dirt thrown on them to show for it 😂
What a ship all of those assimilated ships alone would be a battle for a lot of ships but the AA tore them apart lol if you had a fleet of 1K of those the would be no battle the Federation couldn't win .....great as all ways RB 👍 😊
Do you happen to have the USS KRAKATOA? i saw a video that it looks like a motion picture ship that has a weapons pod that has 4 torpedo slots forward and rear
It's honestly absurdly powerful. Everything about it is tuned up to about 15 out of 10. It's torpedoes cycle incredibly quickly too so you're pretty much always firing them. I've used it a few times and was amazed at how good it is. If memory serves it was even able to go toe to toe with the Scimitar.
It was. When EMH MK1 first appeared in Sickbay. He told the computer to give the specs of the ship. The computer says "Regenrative Shielding, Ablative Hull Armour & Multi-Vector Assault Mode". 🖖
I keep telling you! Don’t just disable a system. Double tap and destroy it so you don’t have to worry about them coming back online at the worst possible moment
Generally, I'd say the Borg don't care about asthetics... ... ...which just brought to mind dialog from the Doctor Who episode Doomsday... " *DALEKS* have no concept of Elegance" "THIS. IS. OBVIOUS." Says the Cyberman😂😅
You were shooting the wrong torpedoes :) you were targeting the photon launchers, not the quantums. You wanted to be shooting the "quantum pulse turrets". I think if you got those destroyed this would be doable.
I would suppose an OG Constitution Class ship would go up like that after only one hit from a quantum torpedo... Buuuuut, I remember the Discovery survived several hits from 32nd century quantum torpedoes. Not saying that that should have been possible and Discovery had thicker plot armor than Sisko's Defiant... I'm just saying.
The way the Connies blew up from those Quantums strongly reminded me of how the 23rd Century USS Defiant was ripping through all those Enterprise-Era Mirror Universe ships in In a Mirror, Darkly.
"Our top shield is beginning to fail..."
*proceeds to turn top shield to take a quantum torpedo blast*
Sir our top shield ain't no quitter
Assimilated starfleet ships is just such a cool concept
I think it's based on Voyager scorpion part 2.
@DanBen07 ohh I did not know that thanks!
I remember a mission in Star Trek: Armada where a small fleet of assimilated ships attacked.
that gets me everytime.."OH YES YES YES YES!!!...O.O....ohhhhhhhhhhhhh *beeeeeep*..."
The Archangel is a crazy mod. The torpedoes on that thing cycle so quickly that you can almost always be firing them if you're just circling.
Not to mention the shields and armor on that thing is insane.

Aww, its okay to use it in battle .
Glad to see the Archangel do what it was meant for!

Great battle. However, if that was Captain Russell's assimilated Galaxy Class: The USS Valkyrie, it would have been a VERY short fight !

If the Borg were losing, they should have rammed the galaxy into them

There was a Connie used as a training ship in the Sol system.
You're right, that makes sense. Not fit for exploring anymore, but for training purposes.
Impressive 👍

3 Texas Classes carved up the Soveriegn Class USS Van Citters
I wonder what they could do to the Archangel?

Let's see the same but with Voyager J.
I'd like to see the Archangel go up against the Section 31 Clandestine and the Polaris. If it can defeat either one easily one on one go two on one.
Can the Borg Prometheus do MVAM
Sadly not 🖖
Has the Archangel taken on the Scimitar yet? I’d like to see that match up.
Let's totally ignore the Connies, even though they can be one shotted and it would reduce the amount of incoming fire 🖖
