R.i.p Kevin Conroy and Arleen Sorkin. Both were amazing in their respective roles as Batman and Harley Quinn. This was actually Arlene's last performance is Harley as she would retire from the role. I implore you to start watching the Batman animated series from the 90s on your reaction Channel I think it would do wonders for you as far as wanting to learn the iteration of the lore that most people know.
Everytime I play this series ,I always forget they are actually gone.😢 But Guess Their work & the love for them makes them forever legends. Long live the Bat ,RIP Kevin & Sorkeen.
The game tell you Harley's first comic appearance, but she first appeared in Batman: The Animated Series in 1992, as a one shot that returned because of fans. Also that Series is where Mark started his Joker.
This games atmosphere is unmatched. The Arkham series set the standard for great superhero games and still holds up to this day. Paved the way for the incredible Insomniac Spider-Man games.
Sure is. I just wish the default brightness was lower on pc, though I guess it's not something most people think about when they start a game. Asylum really looks good on low brightness. I'm guessing that because TVs were darker in the 2000s, the game (developed for consoles) was made brighter by default to compensate.
I disagree. The Spider-Man games are very average at best. Insomniac turned out to not be fit for superhero games. Arkham Asylum and City reached the highest standard so far in superhero games. Insomniac didn't even come close to that standard, which is a cosmic shame, considering all the resources they had to make an awesome Spider-Man game(s).
@@yokotubene What do you dislike about them so much? The gameplay is fantastic isn't it? I honestly don't think you can make a better Spider-Man game. At least gameplay-wise. Like how do you make the swinging better. Also the story is really good, although it is subjecrive. I have only played the 2018 game.
Having grown up with the 90s Batman animated series(where Conroy and Hamill began voicing their respective characters), it was heartbreaking hearing about his passing. Conroy is the best Batman voice actor we've ever had(He even played a live action version of the character in the CW Arrowverse shows), Troy did a great job in the TellTale series though. Hamill's Joker is iconic, my personal favorite appearance is in Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker. RIP Kevin Conroy, you are the night, you ARE Batman.
Seriously, between his loss and the loss of Arleen Sorkin a few months ago (the original Harley Quinn from that show and this game, Harley actually being *based* on Arleen in one of her old roles), this game is very bittersweet to hear our beloved BTAS cast together.
@@VegetaLF7 Agreed. It would have been so much better if more actors from the animated series had voiced their respective characters in these games(like John Glover as Riddler for example) though.
@@passionsquietrageHonestly, I disagree there. Ignoring the ones that returned from TAS, I generally prefer the Arkham voice actors. John Glover is an amazing Riddler, but I think Wally Wingert is superior, same with Grey DeLisle as Catwoman, Nolan North as Penguin, Tasia Valenza as Poison Ivy, Steve Blum as Killer Croc, Dino Andrade and John Noble as Scarecrow, JB Blanc as Bane, Rick D. Wasserman as Clayface and MAYBE Peter McNicoll as Mad Hatter (not sure about that one). The other ones come close, even if they aren't the best
During stealth, the glide kick is a "loud" move. It will alert enemies and draw them to the source of the sound. If you glide behind enemies and do a silent takedown, the others wont know it happened giving you time to get a full takedown and get away without being seen
The game that CHANGED the superhero genre in so many ways. With 2 of the most LEGENDARY actors themself, Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamil. I grew up with 90s Batman animated series as a kid. I played the entire Arkham franchise as a young teenager. And now I get to sit back, grab a beverage and observe Miranda's experience on this wonderful journey. Buckle up because you're in for a WILD RIDE. 😌
I've been looking forward to this ever since you announced that you would be playing them lol And I agree, the atmosphere of this game is so impressive. The voice cast on this game is pretty great. Not only do we have Kevin Conroy, Mark Hamil, and Arleen Sorkin, but also Tom Cane, the voice of Yularen and Yoda in Star Wars The Clone Wars, voices Quincy Sharp in this game lol
Tip: You don't have to get the upgrades in order. You can skip around. There are health upgrades and, more importantly, the inverted takedown. Extremely useful in stealth situations. It's like the perch takedowns in Spider-Man.
Inverted takedown sucks you'd think batman would come up with a better way to perform the takedown without letting the guy scream bloody murder for 3 whole seconds
I’m a lifelong Batman fan and love these games dearly. I thoroughly enjoy watching first time plays of them especially when the player is new to Batman in general. I’m new to your channel and your reactions to the franchise so far are everything. Super glad to have discovered this channel
Same, I just got through watching Skyytea go through the Arkham games for the first time a few months ago. She started off with the extent of her Batman knowledge being "I know what Batman looks like" and watching her become invested in the mythos across the 4 games was incredible
I remember in interviews that when Mark Hamill was creating the Joker voice he used elements of Claude Rains from the Invisible Man, and mixed it with the Blue Meanie from Yellow Submarine, though the 1 thing that guaranteed the role was the laugh, describing how it should feel like a musical instrument to showcase his mood, even though you can't change the words in the script you can still play around with the laugh. Though how he got the part is quite the funny story Also when you start to play the game and move Batman around in the Intensive Treatment building when escorting the Joker to a cell, you can actually approach the asylum guards and the say 3-4 things when you walk towards them and then back up and go forth again, like when one of the guards says Bruce Wayne donated upgrades to the asylum including the scanner tunnel that way it's a much safer search inspection of inmates. Stealth was always my favorite part of the Arkham games, with how many takedowns you can do, as well as scaring the enemies until they're terrified then they walk shaky while watching their back and front (Silent Takedown = behind a thug and press triangle) (Corner Takedown = get to corner cover and wait for a thug to walk close to the edge and press triangle) (Ledge Takedown = hang from a ledge and if you're close to a thug press triangle to pull him over the ledge) Careful some attacks are noisy so when the others hear their buddy scream, they'll run to where he was, oh and when a thug just climbed up a ladder try throwing a batarang to make him fall back down
For combos, when Bat goes flying towards an enemy to hit him while he is in motion you can already redirect the next direction towards the next enemy and hit the attack button or counter button to chain a never ending cycle of combo hits. I was once a master at this and had almost a thousand hit combo. As you get more moves you can incorporate those too. Like the circle bat swipe. Doesn't add a combo "hit", stuns the enemy, but also won't break the combo cycle either. The key is not really to button mash be just be precise, cool, calm and collected and make sure you counter (triangle) any enemy about to hit you so they don't stop your combo chains.
IM SO HAPPY YOU'RE PLAYING THIS SERIES. As a little girl, this game is what got me into the Batman mythos and comics. I always liked Batman, but I didn't know much about him besides the obvious stuff. This game however made me SO obsessed with the lore and the characters that I begged my mom to buy me Arkham City when it came out! Batman is my favorite super hero, because he was able to turn his grief, his trauma, into a force for good. That way no one will ever have to go through what he went through
Girl I can't wait to binge ALL of these lets plays. I've collected every riddler trophy in every game btw. I did it in Arkham Knight TWICE. I think it's safe to say Im Batman
Just a fun thing to tell, I do impressions, and mark hamills joker is one I do. I used to work retail and that character is a voice I made in-store announcements as, I would even joke around when I was in the hospital and I would skip down the hall singing in that voice "jingle bells, Batman smells, robin laid an egg. The bat mobile lost its wheel and I got away hahahaha.
The bit at the beginning when you're talking about how you don't really know anything about Batman and warning people to click off of the video did the opposite for me because I have been searching for someone who plays through all 4 games but also doesn't know enough about Batman to spoil the story for themself. This is actually my perfect scenario, so thank you so much! I'll be watching through all of your Batman: Arkham content and I'll also be subscribing to your channel since you seem really nice and make great content.
Both Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill, have been Batman and the Joker since the 90’s. They have been apart of so many projects together, mostly DC stuff, if Mark was hired, he would ask Kevin to be Batman, and if Kevin was hired, he would ask for Mark or he wouldn’t do the project. R.I.P Kevin the greatest Batman of all time.
Omg, you’re in for a treat!! This series is incredible with some of the best voice acting for Batman, Joker and Harley Quin. RIP Kevin Conroy, the best of them are…..
I highly recommend watching Batman: The Animated Series either during this journey or after (Preferably while your going through the journey). You’ll get more of an understanding of this world (It’s somewhat a continuation of the Animated Series but not really). Honestly it’s just a great animated show that’s well worth the time. Edit and if you want I would LOVE if you made them reactions on your reaction channel. I think that would be awesome to do alongside the games. Just a thought though.
Harly Quinn's first comic book appearance was in 1999, but her actual first appearance was in the Batman: The Animated Series cartoon in the early 1990's. I believe the first episode with her aired in 1992.
The fact that you don’t know much about Batman makes me really excited to see where this Playthrough goes! What a great story to start your Batman experience on!
Another good way to get introduced to Batman is by watching "Batman the Animated Series". It's not 100% "comic book accurate", but it's incredible. Many interpretations of Batman since have been influenced by the animated series, such as the character of Harley Quinn being originally created for the animated series and has subsequently added into comic book as an actual character.
Since you are playing this game, you might consider watching the following two films on your reaction channel: 1. Batman (1989) This is the movie that inspired the game's aesthetic. It is the first modern Batman movie, courtesy of Tim Burton. While it is not quite an origin story for the hero, it does pick up at the end of Batman's first month as a crime fighter. 2. Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993) This animated movie coincided with the first season of the popular animated series that followed the release of Tim Burton's two films. It features Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill as Batman and the Joker, respectively. If you are interested in exploring the character further, you could also check out Batman: Under the Red Hood and Batman: The Killing Joke, two direct adaptations of popular comic stories.
Aww I'm so happy you're playing the Arkham games now. These games are legitimately GOATed. I looove these games. The lore, the atmosphere, the music, everything.
If you are going to Platinum the game there will be items that you can't get or Riddles you can't solve until you get new gadgets. You will be able to return to anywhere on the island to get the items that you miss.
You're in for a treat. Also if you'd like a nice companion reaction series idea I'd suggest watching Batman the Animated Series. It would be good to see where Conroy and Hamil got their starts with the characters.
Bruh. You’ll realize how much inspiration the Spider-Man games took from the Arkham games. These were my favorite for years and years. I’ll be watching every got dang Arkham video you publish.
I’m so happy you’re finally delving into these games. All four of them were my favorites during high school and still some of my favorites overall. It’s a shame though that you couldn’t get to Origins this month since it’s actually a Christmas game, but I’m just grateful that you’re getting into DC now. Hopefully you delve into the movies and shows over on the react channel. For the first movie I highly recommend Superman 1978 for your first movie, and Batman The Animated Series for the first show.
@@TheMirandalorian omg thanks for the reply!! lol But yeah it’s very underappreciated (especially by Warner Bros who refuse to remaster it😒) I actually make it a tradition to play it every year
@@TheMirandalorian hey there just here to recommend Batman Mask of the Phantasm (1993) and Batman Assault on Arkham (2014) for your movie reaction channel, keep up the good work.

Gotta say ,Seeing how u cheerfully reacting to the moments of this game like a kid ,reminds me my very first days when I started playing this wonderful series. Back then ,More than combat ,What I had trouble on learning was Stealth. Remember I was got quickly detected in AC brotherhood. This series taught me how to master it. From then ,Always able to stealth out in The prequels of this & AC Games etc. Bet U will learn something out of this series That will help playing future games too. Good luck being the bat.🦇🎮
Hey Miranda! It’s great you’re finally checking out these games! They really capture the vibe of being Batman! A couple tips: 1. Yes, some of the collectibles are inaccessible until you get the proper tools (which you will eventually get as you play). Thankfully, this game is fairly open-world, so you can usually backtrack to the previous areas to get those goodies. 2. Also, when you purchase upgrades, you can scroll left and right to choose the upgrade you want. Some of the upgrades improve Batman’s health or defense, so be sure to check them out! That being said, I also recommend checking out Telltale’s Batman games also. They’re smaller and less complicated, but still worth checking out after you finish the Arkham series (which I know will take a while). Looking forward to this playthrough series!
Wait, now that I hear Hammel, I suddenly remembered, he also used to do the voice for a character from an old cartoon called Time Squad. He played a robot called Larry 3000. Man that`s a long time ago. Let`s see how he does the Joker, seeing as he`s the original voice actor.
HOOO BOY, you’re in for a ride with this one! Hope to see you go through it all the way to Arkham Knight. If you’re not a Batman fan by the end of it, you never will be, because this is peak and will immerse you DEEP into Batman lore. You’ll DEFINITELY have a PHD in Batmanology (totally didn’t just make that one up)
Batman Arkham Asylum Let's Fucking Go ! I couldn't wait to finally check this out 🤘🔥, Batman Arkham Asylum is truly special because if the Insomniac Spider-Man games is the modern day gold standard for superhero games then the Rocksteady Batman games is the gold standard of yesteryear that paved the way, the Batman Arkham Games walked so the Insomniac Spider-Man Games could run.
Yeah Miranda I'm a Batman comic book fan and I'm really pleased that you are going to be playing the Batman games starting with Arkham Asylum and I'm here for part one and watching onwards so have fun with the Batman games you are the very greatest and Thank You Miranda. 🦇🦇🦇🦇
1:01:00 -- this would have been a great place for the upgrade Inverted Takedown. You don't have to get the upgrades in the order that they appear. You can scroll forward to whatever looks good Speaking of which, the armor upgrade is also needed, early on. Once you have Riddler involved, scan EVERYTHING. You'll run into one of the answers at some point.
Since you mentioned Catman there is a Catman in DC comics who's name is Thomas Blake, he is originally a villian but later an Anti-heroic member of the secret six who is like another one of Amanda Waller's Suicide Squads.
Exploring the Arkham Videos right now, it’s so awesome to see someone experiencing this franchise for the 1st time again, absolutely love the content, and I know this is on the first Arkham Video but keep it up!
1. We all know by now Miranda isn't stealthy 2. Pretty sure everyone is here for your commentary more so than the game play 3. I hope everyone has a fabulous day and a wonderful weekend.
As a Arkham veteran myself I have to inform you that when it comes to combat the squear (Attack) and triangle (Counter) buttons are your best friends. You're welcome and good luck :) 👍
Enjoyed this video so much.🥰 Right off the bat your intro was really great (the mimic of Alfred was on point).👏🏼 What makes this even better is seeing it through the eyes of someone that doesn’t know Batman.🤔Your reactions and expressions are the best part of this playthrough.🤗When a game makes you the player move your head to look around the corner, it’s automatic win for the game cause you’re in it.🥳 Thx Miranda🦇🃏😃
Wasnt expecting this, but it's so fun to see people's fresh eyes laying upon Batman universe and Arkham Asylum is perfect for that. Some fun facts: Kevin Conroy and Mark Hammil first time voiced Batman and Joker in "Batman The Animated Series" back in 1992, since then they became iconic voices for these characters. Also, Harley Quinn's first appearence in the game tells her appearence in COMICS and official comics canon of DC, meanwhile her actual first appearence was in the said Batman The Animated Series in 1992, voiced by Arleen Sorkin, but in more recent media (like Arkham series) she is voiced by Tara Strong.
Just found ur channel and I love it I just got the Arkham games on the switch n I played them on the Xbox with im remembering a lot n loving them so much
Miranda, interesting to see how someone who has never played an Arkham game stand out, I also wanted to say that in the old one there was no rain, only in this Return of Arkham, It would be interesting to see you playing skate 3 or guitar hero, rock band, etc And also another thing Miranda Tate you have the name of Miranda Tate who is a character from Christopher Nolan's latest Batman film
These games awakened my obsession with Batman lore and now I’m a huge comic collector. this is a good start if you want to get to know about the character.
One aspect I always loved about DC comics is there fictional cities. Gotham City is such a unique setting, a hybrid of Gothic Revival and Art Deco with a very timeless aesthetic that was heavily featured in Tim Burtons Batman and then carried over into the comics and Animated Series. There's retro inspired Adverts that visually look like something from the 1940s. We have a mix of tech with alot of the more modern tech like cameras still having a retro vibe to it. Vehicles have retro feels to them as well, more so in the later games. It just feels like a city trapped in time. Then you have Metropolis the home of Superman. An Art Deco City of Tomorrow that looks stunning with a more 1950s spin on everything. Marvel does have fictional locations but America is basically the same as our real world. I do like how real location like New York have Marvel themed landmarks, something I find really cool. But for me DC benefits heavily by having a bunch of cool fictional American cities. Arkham Asylum really has no focus on Gotham itself, even Gotham in the background looks okay. But Arkham City and more so Arkham Knight features an amazing Gotham City. Arkham Origins as well.
Oh and don't forget about blimps. Can't believe I forgot to mention Blimps, stable of Gotham City that sadly have never made it into any of the films. I feel like the DC films have really dropped the ball on fictional cities, looks so boring and basic beyond The Batman. Hopefully James Gunn goes all in on Gotham, Star City, Metropolis, Keystone, Central City etc. Enough with making Gotham and Metropolis just look like alternate New Yorks.
This is one of the best games ever made. Probably the best joker rendition ever made as well. Comic accurate. Not sure which of these games it twas, but i had record scores for some of the extra content that you could do. The never ending fight battle arenas. And the timed takedown areas. That woulda been like 15 years ago. Thinking it was arkham city that had it.
This game will forever be special to me because it was my 1st Platinum trophy and I wasn't even going for it, just when I was almost finished with NG+ I noticed I only had like 4 or 5 more to go to get the platinum so I was like I might as well go for it. City was the hardest for me to Platinum and Knight is my proudest 100% Platinum because theres 110 trophies in all.
4:25 Watching you say this at this point in this video, and then watching you get all teary-eyed by the time you make it to Arkham Knight-when Batman is first shown in that game, standing high on a tower-is awesome to see lol. It's awesome to see how much you grew to like Batman with this series. Batman is my personal favourite "super" hero of all time, and probably always will be.
It’s great to see you discovered this awesome game. I’ve have played and replayed this one many times over the last 14 years. Enjoy the next 3 entries in this game saga.
This is one of my favorite franchises. This game in particular though has my favorite setting/ambiance. Being trapped in an insane asylum with most of batman’s supervillains makes it thrilling
At last! jaja. Here's a small detail. The first time Harley Quinn appears on a Batman story wasn't in the comic book but in the animated series from 1992, the episode is: Joker's favor. The animated series is GOLD and as well the movie Mask of the Phantasm. Keep enjoying the Batman universe!
Watching the video, 'cause I absolutely love this game. Love how you seem so surprised to discover the characters origins, the game mechanics, and everything else. Love you!
Spider-Man and Batman are my favorite superheroes and I'm so happy you are playing these games and witnessing the glory of Kevin Conroy's Batman and Mark Hamill's Joker they are the best to ever do it
52:20 if you collected all of them and heard the tapes, all Ill say is Rocksteady captured the feel and the horror of an Asylum! The more you delve deeper into the lore it gets haunting, like it’s a real story that could or did happen in real life.
"His name is Bruce and he has a butler named Michael Cain." Wow, for the past 34 years I have thought the butler's name was Michael Gough. You learn something new every day.
Legit just found your channel through this video, and now I plan on watching your all 4 of your batman arkham playthroughs. It is very rare to see the process of somebody learning to love Batman! So I am buckled up and ready!
Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill were made legendary due to their awesome voice acting in Batman The Animated Series back in the 90s. It’s one of the shows I grew up with and it was such a great nostalgia trip when they came back to reprise their respective roles in this game. Batman Origins is the only game in this series I don’t really care for since they didn’t voice their characters.
Subscribed to your membership cause I couldn't wait to see your reaction in this first episode and it didn't disappoint. This is still one of my favorite games ever and you are right that this game and sequels inspired a lot of the other superhero games, especially the Spider-Man games. I can already tell that you'll be obsessed with DC by the time you finish this game and move on to City. I also appreciate you stopping to read the bios that pop up when you're playing. As you said you know next to nothing about Batman and his lore. I know some may not like you stopping to read the bios while you're playing but I don't mind cause we get to see your first time reaction to learning more about these characters. Like you learning about Harley Quinn and how she was once a psychiatrist that helped treat the Joker. So definitely keep reading them when you can. But overall, I'm so ready for you to experience the rest of the game and I can't wait for the next episode!
I don't really care if people don't like it! It's my video and my playthrough that I worked really hard to make! They can either skip it or not watch at all! But thanks for supporting! That means more than anything else!
@@TheMirandalorian Oh definitely! You play the way you want. I for one won't be telling you how you should play this and the other games. I'm just happy that someone new is getting to play this game (and the sequel games eventually) for the first time and experience everything that I experienced when I first played it. Also with how most people view DC currently due to the major fumbling of their live action cinematic universe, I'm always happy when someone actually gives DC a chance. Whether it's the games, movies or shows. I also forgot to mention when you were reading Harley Quinn's bio, while it does say at the bottom that her first appearance was in Batman: Harley Quinn #1 in 1999, her first actual appearance was in Batman: The Animated Series in 1992, which is a show that I hope you react to at some point as it has the same voice cast that's in this game. Kevin Conroy as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Mark Hamill as The Joker, and Arleen Sorkin as Harley Quinn. And especially if you want to learn more about Batman and his lore. Also you're welcome! I love supporting a creator I appreciate whenever I can!

@@TheMirandalorian I get that. While there are other really great actors that have portrayed these characters, Kevin and Mark as Batman and Joker will always be my favorite. I am SO excited for this new gameplay! After watching your Spider-Man play throughs, I can’t wait to see how you enjoy this series. I love watching people discover franchises I love when they have nearly no previous knowledge. Watching you discover new things about each villain and their stories is so much fun!!!
I've just discovered your fun walkthroughs, as someone not to good at gaming, it great to see your way of starting the game. Hopefully by time I watch your Arkham Knight series I will have finally completed that 1
So glad you are starting this series. Also as I saw in your Spider-man play through I love how you take the time with the bios and clues. I think you should go for the platinum the rewards for completing them are satisfying.

Mark Hamills voice acting is so iconic. Another great perfomance he did was as the Watcher in Darksiders 1. If i remember correctly, in an interview where he said he used the joker voice with a demonic twist to it
As a youngin I remember spending hours at the Walmart video game section playing this game for hours. Sure it was a small preview, but I could not get enough of it. After that I knew I was gonna like Batman
All of the Arkham games are great but I think the one thing about Asylum that trumps the later games is the atmosphere, it’s great in those games but Asylum’s atmosphere is so grim and oppressive and really makes you feel a sense of isolation, oh and when you end up getting to the Warden’s office go to the right hand wall by the entrance, spray some explosive gel, detonate it and you’ll come across something surprising, heads up you may have detonate multiple sprays before it works but it’s worth it.
There's an episode of 'Justice League Action' where Mark Hamill voices Joker, Swamp Thing, Trickster, and himself. He said that it was the only show on television where four of the characters have slept with each other.
Great first episode. Welcome to the world of Batman. The Arkham games are phenomenal and are the perfect gateway drug for the entire Batman mythos. I'm confident you will find yourself becoming a full-fledged fan before you hit the end of the first game's credits...and you'd only be scratching the surface at that point. Just a tip for the combat, it's a lot less button-mashy than Insomniac's Spider-Man games (not bashing those games, their combat is similar but also very different). The game's combat was originally designed by Rocksteady to be played like a rhythm game, and while they scrapped that mechanic entirely, the combat still has a sort of rhythm to it. Once you find that rhythm, you will become unstoppable. I usually find that I fall into the rhythm with 3 punches, and then varying back and forth between counters and punches thereafter. It takes a little bit, but it is *so* satisfying once you get it.
R.i.p Kevin Conroy and Arleen Sorkin. Both were amazing in their respective roles as Batman and Harley Quinn. This was actually Arlene's last performance is Harley as she would retire from the role.
Roger Smith Also did a good Batman in origins
The Arkham Series is the perfect way to familiarize yourself with the lore. Every game is like an ever expanding museum of Batman history.
I've been looking forward to this ever since you announced that you would be playing them lol
And I agree, the atmosphere of this game is so impressive.
You are in for a treat with this series.
@@jessewest5456 I think the whole is that the person is screaming bloody murder the whole time. Batman wants to terrify the criminals he's attacking.
@@VegetaLF7 I watched hers as well!
Though how he got the part is quite the funny story
Also when you start to play the game and move Batman around in the Intensive Treatment building when escorting the Joker to a cell, you can actually approach the asylum guards and the say 3-4 things when you walk towards them and then back up and go forth again, like when one of the guards says Bruce Wayne donated upgrades to the asylum including the scanner tunnel that way it's a much safer search inspection of inmates.
I was 7 years old when I first played this back in 2009, this game introduced me to superhero games!
I was 15 years old when I first played this back in 2009 and this game blew me away 🤯🤘🔥🦇🦇
I was 20. damn I'm getting old lmao.
@@Hugh-Si was 10 but in my opinion the ps3/360 era had some of the best games ever made
I was 11 when it came out and only got to play a little bit of it because I didn’t own a console at the time and I played it at the library
you must have not wanted to leave that library lol.@@TheChickenlittle11
I always thought those dentures sound like a skeleton that’s pointing and laughing at me, which was my motivation to get them all
IM SO HAPPY YOU'RE PLAYING THIS SERIES.
Even though Harley first appeared in the comics in 1999, her first appearance was in Batman The Animated Series, which premiered in 1992.
As someone who knows a lot about DC, its really fun seeing someone being slowly introduced to these characters.
Yeah it’s my favorite video game franchise
I highly recommend watching Batman: The Animated Series either during this journey or after (Preferably while your going through the journey). You’ll get more of an understanding of this world (It’s somewhat a continuation of the Animated Series but not really). Honestly it’s just a great animated show that’s well worth the time. Edit and if you want I would LOVE if you made them reactions on your reaction channel. I think that would be awesome to do alongside the games. Just a thought though.
Agree
Since you are playing this game, you might consider watching the following two films on your reaction channel:
1. Batman (1989)
This is the movie that inspired the game's aesthetic. It is the first modern Batman movie, courtesy of Tim Burton. While it is not quite an origin story for the hero, it does pick up at the end of Batman's first month as a crime fighter.
2. Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993)
This animated movie coincided with the first season of the popular animated series that followed the release of Tim Burton's two films.
I love this Trylogy Batman Arkham for Rocksteady and Batman Arkham Origins too. ❤🦇
Really?! That is a bummer, but I'm sure it will be awesome regardless!

This series has a special place in my heart. I loved all of them, even origins that wasn't the best according to internet.
RIP, Kevin Conroy and Arleen Sorkin, we love you, we miss you.
Hey Miranda! It’s great you’re finally checking out these games! They really capture the vibe of being Batman! A couple tips:
Yeah Miranda I'm a Batman comic book fan and I'm really pleased that
you are going to be playing the Batman games starting with Arkham Asylum and I'm here for part one and
watching onwards so have fun with the Batman games you are the very greatest and Thank You Miranda.
🦇🦇🦇🦇
After Arkham series, Telltale's Batman episodes is a next must play series! 👌
There isn't a day that I regret picking up this game and city while living in Ottawa rip Kevin Conroy and Arlene Sorkin
Since you mentioned Catman there is a Catman in DC comics who's name is Thomas Blake, he is originally a villian but later an Anti-heroic member of the secret six who is like another one of Amanda Waller's Suicide Squads.
So excited for you to play this series. It's really something special. I hope you have a ton of fun :)
Yay!!!! so hyped to watch this series! I hope you enjoy it! ❤🎮
My personal favorite Batman Arkham game 🎮
Wasnt expecting this, but it's so fun to see people's fresh eyes laying upon Batman universe and Arkham Asylum is perfect for that.
Some fun facts:
Kevin Conroy and Mark Hammil first time voiced Batman and Joker in "Batman The Animated Series" back in 1992, since then they became iconic voices for these characters.
Just found ur channel and I love it I just got the Arkham games on the switch n I played them on the Xbox with im remembering a lot n loving them so much
Always a treat watching someone new playing the Batman Games
Miranda, interesting to see how someone who has never played an Arkham game stand out, I also wanted to say that in the old one there was no rain, only in this Return of Arkham, It would be interesting to see you playing skate 3 or guitar hero, rock band, etc
And also another thing Miranda Tate you have the name of Miranda Tate who is a character from Christopher Nolan's latest Batman film
RIP to Kevin Conroy (Batman) and Arleen Sorkin (Harley Quinn) (the latter passed away just a few months ago)
I’ve never been a fan of Batman as a superhero but I will be watching every Batman play through regardless because of how entertaining you are.
this series is amazing !! my first intro to batman and led me down my OWN personal batman journey haha
You have to scan objects (by holding LB) to solve the answer to Riddles as well as the (Scarab Beatle) Spirit of Arkham messages.
The graphics are still so GOOD. It's still so amazing
This is one of my favorite franchises. This game in particular though has my favorite setting/ambiance. Being trapped in an insane asylum with most of batman’s supervillains makes it thrilling
I just restarted Asylum a couple of days ago. I love the Arkham series. Glad to see someone discovering it for themselves
At last! jaja. Here's a small detail. The first time Harley Quinn appears on a Batman story wasn't in the comic book but in the animated series from 1992, the episode is: Joker's favor. The animated series is GOLD and as well the movie Mask of the Phantasm. Keep enjoying the Batman universe!
Heey Mirandalorian I am so glad you are introducing yourself to my and many of ours Chidlhood fav game series also R.I.P to Kevin Conroy THE Batman

Love how Miranda just turns around real quick like "who me?" 😂
Spider-Man and Batman are my favorite superheroes and I'm so happy you are playing these games and witnessing the glory of Kevin Conroy's Batman and Mark Hamill's Joker they are the best to ever do it
52:20 if you collected all of them and heard the tapes, all Ill say is Rocksteady captured the feel and the horror of an Asylum!
As soon as I heard "I don't really do stealth", I thought "We'll see" 😂😂😂
Subscribed to your membership cause I couldn't wait to see your reaction in this first episode and it didn't disappoint.

I really like the darker atmospheric feel to the Batman games, but there's still enough humour in them, mainly courtesy of the Joker, to lighten the mood every once in a while.
You're gonna have a ton of fun with these games! Thanks for this great first episode, Miranda! I ❤ it! 😊 Stay safe and well!!
You’re in for a treat, I’m definitely going to be giving a lot of hints how to be a strong Batman combatant , this series is my top favorite of all time , I’m happy and glad you are playing it🦇🃏hope you enjoy
Mark Hamills voice acting is so iconic. Another great perfomance he did was as the Watcher in Darksiders 1. If i remember correctly, in an interview where he said he used the joker voice with a demonic twist to it
As you get hooked on Batman there is also a ton of animated movies that are top notch that you should to your list for your other reaction channel!!
The games always do a really good job at portraying the fact Batman does not kill under any circumstances
