That was a proper rally. Plum Tyndall and Derek Simpson were the masters of the rally video back then. That whole event was shot with only 2 cameras - its the story behind and the way Plum tells it draws you in ! These videos are absolutely iconic.
Jimmy mcrae would have probably won that rally if it wasn't for the that mistake on stage 5 At least a British driver with a then slower car won Okay it wasn't a Ford escort mk2 but those Vauxhall Chevette HSRs were still awesome rally cars
