He is batteries?! Darkwing Duck Intro: I am the terror that flaps in the night!

We have an outro for our long-form videos, but Darkwing Duck has an intro! Darkwing Duck’s introduction is a super memorable one-in part because it was oft repeated but mostly because it was always a bit of a surprise. The first line was typically, “I am the terror that flaps in the night!” That was followed up by a more inexplicable one and finished with, “I am Darkwing Duck!” The surprise of the second line was the best part in our opinion, and “I am the batteries that are not included” topped the charts for us! How about for you? What was your favorite Darkwing Duck intro?
The first episode of Darkwing Duck debuted on September 6, 1991; however, a sneak peak of the show aired on April 6, 1991. We guess that means today is technically Darkwing’s 33rd birthday. So happy birthday to everyone’s favorite nighttime terror (ha)!
