Nah, don't respond, I have google translate. I just wanted to call someone an Insignificant Jew in a conversation and this was pretty much the accurate situation.
It's also similar in sports. All the fans in the crowd are screaming "Yay! we won!", but they really just sat in their seats and drank beer the whole time.
i kind of like the term Skramz, sure it sounds silly but doesn't Screamo? also it not only helps distinguish, but it also can be used as a filter so you can find what you are looking for rather then being buried under billions of other bands.
Sammy Fiction that is your opinion i kind of prefer this music over the later repetitive pop metal garbage, no offence. this just has that progressive sound i love among other things from some of the metal bands i listen to. second i don't think any fan of "skramz" thinks listening to it makes them "Cool" as you put it, if anything i'd be more upset with the deathcore fans calling their new music djent and "tech death" to get away from the core label because they don't understand they aren't metal...
What happened to these guys? They were like the most popular active screamo band around like 5 years ago and now people hardly talk about them. Its seems like its all about Loma Prieta and Topshelf Records these days.
I think the 'just yelling your lungs out thing' was conscious in this band. If you do like the music but not the vocals, you might like bands like Eaves, Marat and Shikari (not to be confused with Enter Shikari). Music is roughly like that, but the vocals are more controlled, but still very raw. :)
Thanks for the suggestions, those bands are quite good ;) I really like Eaves and Marat, though Shikari was a bit... too much? idk. to be honest i prefer Enter Shikari over Shikari. but the others were great :D
you guys really don't get it do you. the singing is not suppose to be pleasant, it's honest and it should knock on a door and if it doesn't knock on yours there is plenty of guns n roses on youtube, mental singing skillz.
Being proud of nationality is same as being proud to be left-handed. It doesn't depend on you, so there is nothing to brag about. Besides, you make fool of yourself. Being proud of group achievments (nationality, religion, race) is simply stupid. Because it suggests this "I, as an individual, hadn't accomplished shit, therefor I'll take pride of accomplishments of others". It's like I can be proud to be good president, just because Lincoln was tall. (and I am tall too :D)
it would be true if it wasn't for the fact that our scene in Italy is pretty poor for band like this, so... we take pride in them if they are good and make it to the foreign countries (especially if the sing in italian, like they do or like La Quiete does), they are some kind of hope for the music scene here
exactly what i was thinking, these are some of the most awkward sounding vocals i've heard in my life. with proper screaming this would be fucking amazing, but the way this guy sounds like a bird of some sort is just deterring me :(
as a huge metal fan i'd say it may be because he's performing a dangerous technique (long term damage?) although i could be wrong, this type of music was designed to sound sort of whiney or desperate, so expect the vocals to express that.
OblivionsAltar As a singer who uses a similar technique, I can tell you that if done right, this shouldn't cause long term damage. There are things you can do to prepare your vocal cords like drink warm honey tea, milk, or believe it or not, whiskey works well too. But as for his voice sounding "wrong", that's an opinion, but it also reflects a lack of experience with this genre. I actually really like it personally.
Braid another good lesson you should learn is don't drink milk!, milk is really bad when perform any form of singing, especially for opera, and power metal vocalists, warm water is good, but don't overdo it. too hot and it can also cause temporal damage, milk fills your throat with mucus and actually thickens any mucus that is already their. honey and Herbal tea are good though.
OblivionsAltar Lol, actually I don't drink milk, but I know several people who have used it in the studio. We're not talking about power metal here, we're talking about gritty yelling/screaming type of stuff. Your point about the mucus buildup in the throat is actually exactly the reason many people use it. Think of the mucus as a kind of shield for your throat. Ya, kind of gross, but surprisingly effective in certain situations. I usually stick with the tea myself. I've been writing/playing this type of music for about 10 years and have never had any voice problems because I use warm up techniques and the drinks I mentioned above. No offense, but you should maybe gain a bit more experience before you try to share "lessons." Seriously though, no offense.
Braid interesting comment, well to start with mucus may "shield your throat", but it puts alot more strain on the chords if you try to reach similar projection as you did without it (mucus makes it harder to breath..) second the only people i've heard say use milk are melodic metalcore and deathcore fans.. and they know absolutely nothing about music. and i'm not sure what sort of music you're talking about specifically? (screamo, genre of hardcore?, any genre with vocals that aren't clean? or anything that is counted as screamo these days? (popmetal, poprock and alternate garbage) and it has been proven that straining your vocal chords in any sense is bad, i gave two extreme cases (pantera, jeromes dream) both didn't listen for the warning signs. rest their voice and limit their shows, both voices fucked.
I fucking hate both those bands. Did you even read the comment? The music itself is great, I love the instruments, but I think his voice just sounds horribly awkward. Both the AA bands are terrible but still, when it comes to unclean vocals I prefer something solid and with support. My favorite band is Jamie's Elsewhere, anyone who uses "\m/" bullshit to describe them will look like an idiot. His screams aren't great but they're acceptable and his singing is amazing. This just sounds ugly to me
I like bands that are similar to this in ways, but I just don't like this guy's voice. I'm not a child or immature or anything else just because I find these vocals in particular annoying. Sheesh.
I never said they should change, but the vocal style is keeping me from getting into this band. The instruments are great, but the screaming just sounds so awkward. Not even metalcore/hardcore style vocals, hell, even if the guy sounded like Anthony Green when he was in Saosin briefly it would be better, at least in my opinion. But meh, I suppose this just isn't my style. It sounds like nothing more than ugly yelling to me :\
Poseur shit? Sorry, what? I know this is screamo, but these vocals are just straight up awful. He is literally just yelling in an ugly manner. No, I don't like AA (either of them) or any of that other shit, but I prefer vocalists with STRONG and SUPPORTED unclean vocals of various styles, such as Defeater, At The Skylines, Greeley Estates, etc. I know they're different types of music but I'd enjoy this band if their vocals were decent. It's just a matter of personal taste. Sorry.
i've listened to this thing here on youtube for a year and i just realised that this is a whole album and not just one song
it took me a while to get my shit together and timestamp it too, sorry
at least i wasnt the only one then
This is probably the only 16 minute song that I can not only tolerate but love.
this is an album...
I don't speak Italian but I fucking love this!
+Braidyn Honey The album is called "Born From other fathers"
U sure it's not "older fathers", Insignificant Jew?
Nah, don't respond, I have google translate. I just wanted to call someone an Insignificant Jew in a conversation and this was pretty much the accurate situation.
+Szymon Łuczyński You have no idea how many messages like this I get a day xD
+Insignificant Jew you, sir, give joy to the people. you are the light of the internets
so many parts of this song are utterly amazing. love these dudes.
They have a certain Hot Cross vibe in the guitar tone. I love it.
Dios mio!!
that opening riff gets in my head all the time
Probably cuz its the shiznit
Was für ein wunderbares episches Lied!
I've never heard this band before. This is great!

Best album. Nostalgic.
awesome album!
Great drummer, and band.
It's also similar in sports. All the fans in the crowd are screaming "Yay! we won!", but they really just sat in their seats and drank beer the whole time.
a los tiempos!
if i hear the word skramz one more fucking time. ...
why are you mad?
***** because it doesn't mean a thing :)
i kind of like the term Skramz, sure it sounds silly but doesn't Screamo? also it not only helps distinguish, but it also can be used as a filter so you can find what you are looking for rather then being buried under billions of other bands.

youre cut
This is actually 6 individual tracks on one video. But if you own the record you can skip through. I wouldn't recommend skipping.
nati da altri padri means born from different fathers
You're welcome dude!
What happened to these guys? They were like the most popular active screamo band around like 5 years ago and now people hardly talk about them. Its seems like its all about Loma Prieta and Topshelf Records these days.
I never heard of Loma Prieta xD
Bleach Drinker To be fair Loma Prieta are also pretty good
Bleach Drinker They relased an album like 6 months ago. Not their best work, but preatty good.
Bleach Drinker yo this was a year ago but check out We Never Learned to Live. amazing band
+Bleach Drinker I hate Loma Prieta.
I think the 'just yelling your lungs out thing' was conscious in this band. If you do like the music but not the vocals, you might like bands like Eaves, Marat and Shikari (not to be confused with Enter Shikari). Music is roughly like that, but the vocals are more controlled, but still very raw. :)
Thank you! :)

Loved it
@thefalloftroyy They don't have to leech it, Raein gave it away free along with the rest of the album.
This is fucking great!
10:51 ❤️❤️❤️
italian pride
awesome.
I've heard them! They're pretty good, although I don't really listen to screamo and stuff like that nowadays. But thanks. :)
Fantastici.
Such a epic fucking jam!
Screamo, esta del lado del Punk
although it does stem from hardcore punk, it's actually "screamo."
Love this fuck the haters if they had clean vocals it would take the edge off

you guys really don't get it do you. the singing is not suppose to be pleasant, it's honest and it should knock on a door and if it doesn't knock on yours there is plenty of guns n roses on youtube, mental singing skillz.
Rispetto eterea.
I'd suggest Rinoa. They're similar in ways.

Lyrics??
jesus christ this song is long...
Being proud of nationality is same as being proud to be left-handed. It doesn't depend on you, so there is nothing to brag about. Besides, you make fool of yourself.

I really love the riffs and everything, but the vocals...
I'm really sorry...
Any instrumentals these guys have made?
exactly what i was thinking, these are some of the most awkward sounding vocals i've heard in my life. with proper screaming this would be fucking amazing, but the way this guy sounds like a bird of some sort is just deterring me :(
no.
That's because you confuse pride in your people/culture and the government.
without that strange singing this would be epic
I'm gonna have to sound off my leftist alarm. Please, take your hate and intolerance elsewhere.
Esto no es "rock".
hahaha ok get out of here then dude
This guys vocals sounds just wrong for some reason. Other than that it's not bad
as a huge metal fan i'd say it may be because he's performing a dangerous technique (long term damage?) although i could be wrong, this type of music was designed to sound sort of whiney or desperate, so expect the vocals to express that.

Great music.
Terrible vocals.
T.M. Storari Vocals are great. I think of it like putting the distortion pedal on the vocals.
PEAZO DE WEON
