As a lefty, everything gets hit with a 2000 pad b4 its drilled, then i go practice like 3 games with it, then fine tune the surface for it to fit where i want it if needed. But i tend to try and keep 1 shiny ball in the bag, but even those get hit with 2000 b4 drill and polished back up. I know i cant replicate a box surface. Right now my shiny piece is the tnt infused.
Surface is everything. Layouts and new coverstock tech demands surface changes to fine tune any ball to your personal preference. Layout and surface is key these days. Love the videos Charles!
the balls that supposed to be sanded, I like them sanded… The balls that are supposed to be polished I like them polished.. I actually build my arsenal from out of box standards… So that’s how I keep them…
I like my solids dusty for the fresh, hybrids it depends for me but tend to surface to 2k or 3k, and I tend to keep pearls shiny like they're meant to be
Hutch this ball looked good for you. I'm not disagreeing with your decision but could you give more detail why this isn't going in the bag? As a follow up, do you think if you bowled lefty this would make it into your bag? The dull super cuda looks like a left handers dream shape, stay there all night
Balls like the summit ascent and hazmat solid shape more. And I’m more fond of those bowling balls. Big rev rates will love this ball. It’s a little rounder and cleaner option.
At my ballspeed (17mph) and rev rate (480) I hate polish. I need my ball to read early enough to react downlane. I don't get much side rotation either for recovery downlane.
True Chromium has an out of bounds that once you hit it... The ball doesn't come back no matter what you are throwing. I personally hate ALL patterns that remove friction to the outside intentionally... but it seems to be what every tournament director wants in a pattern... no outside friction at all. Could be why entries into Regional and local tournaments are WAY down... but hey... who am I to tell someone that they are low-quality business people who are strangling the life out of the sport.

Same way I do it
I think he meant which ones you like more, polished or sanded
What did you use to polish the ball?
Polished my Envy Tour and I like it a lot more than out of box on my league house shot. CTD 5000 pad by hand plus lane shine.
Yeah I’m hearing a lot of people like 5000 grit.
Getting my super cuda next week

That ball looks nice.
Polish.. but I keep a sanded one in the bag
With the chromium pattern i always struggled with out of bounce right. Moving in and keeping line tight was always the move for some reason.

Definitely responsive on house shots.
Looks why better without the polish
But
Still not going in the bag
Sanded! stay aggressive

This ball looked fine out of box, but terrible polished.
