One experiment I want them to try is a longer game with 12 frames with 360 as the highest possible score. 10 frames is very short and it does not feel "epic" enough when each player only gets 5 or 6 turns since they do 2 frames in a row. A 12 frame option would be interesting. Bowling alleys should try offering that as an option maybe charging slightly more per game for it.
I had the privilege to be able to bowl with Walter Ray last year at our little home bowling alley Twin City Bowl in Louisiana, MO. It was an awesome experience and one of my most memorable moments in bowling!
It was great to see all these legends bowling together, but it was especially good to see Norm Duke back in action. I hope he continues to be semi-retired.
This was a wonderful idea, and I hope it can be an event to incorporate going forward. So great seeing the legends vs. the current crop (and the up-and-comers)!
You can’t convince me norm still couldn’t compete on tour he’s still got a look to the pocket. Not saying he’d win a lot or at all but he would compete
Good to see Aulby again. He was pretty much my bowling guru in my early bowling days. Slow ball speed & 280 RPM did not lack for hitting power. Speaking of hitting power - Troup's ball roll was insanely good the whole time.
This was great. The only thing I wished the PBA did was to change lanes after every three bowlers. That would have made the game more equal. The team that got the tough lane had less of a chance to win. So, it would have been better if the teams had rotated lanes. Maybe that change can be implemented in the future. All in all, I really enjoyed this Legacy Cup, and I hope they continue with it in the future.
I was shocked to see Pete throw his exotic gem at the 10 pin on his first frame. He is one of the best spare shooters of all time, let alone single pin spares, and he didn’t use a spare ball which he strongly suggests bowlers to throw plastic at single pin spares.
Probably didn't travel there with plastic, they normally don't bother with it at exhibition type events if they can help it. In competition he throws plastic at spares
I havent watched bowling in years & seen this come on @ a restaurant I was like "i wonder if parker bohn still bowls" 🤔 (He was my fav when i was younger) & then he came on ❤
Lets be honest then. Put the same ball and the same shot in all players hands and see who comes out ahead. It all about the ball today. When I started in the 70's it was a LT48? And in my day Don McCune soaked the covers to get the ball to hook. Gee before your time?
I agree the Chris Farley clone is very annoying, but so is Rob Stone. Dave Ryan is ok, but Dave Lamont is the best. He knows his bowling and never makes inane comments.
One experiment I want to see is a bowling match where its a standard bowling game except every left handed player has to throw the ball with their right hand and every right handed player has to throw with their left hand. The scores would probably be very low.
I am not sure what this was all about. Seeing the new Amateurs and seeing Mike Aulby compete against the Nascar stars was super cool, but the other stuff just did not process well on TV. Maybe it was the camera work. Maybe its meant for just the audience they had there, but it definitely was not as fun to watch on TV. The best part of the skills test was Sean Rash and Tommy Jones going for the win. I just think this could be revamped for better viewing for TV but like I said, the local audience probably had the best view of the shows.
Who are you taking as your bowling partner? 🎳
My hero, PB 3!
Norm would be a blast to play with.
Id play with Norm all day and take him in every clutch situation possible.
I would have lunch with Norm Duke! 🎳
Probably Big Ern....
I hope the PBA notices how much everyone loves this. This is how we stay in the game.
Absolutely

This was one of the funnest events I’ve watched. Legends vs all stars smack talk was great
i never thought id see mike aulby again. amazing! we need this every year
Their trash talking was hilarious!
It really was wonderful to see this event. From the legends of my youth to the marvels of today... Just Terrific
Anyone ever see how good Walter Ray is at horseshoes? Absolute killer. The sound of a ringer most of the time.
hence how he got the nickname Dead Eye
@@jefftassone30 You left out how may world championships he had.🙂
I love seeing the competition with the joking and laughing among them 😂😂
Do this a yearly thing! So much fun!
You mean bring back the ole days? This oldgoat watched bowling on TV in the 50's when hooking a ball 3 boards.😛
@@oldgoat50AND using just two holes in the ball.
Best telecast I've seen in many years! The bowlers had a good time and the audience was into it. Awesome!!
It was great to see the legendary Mike Aulby on the lanes again. Great show Fox.
I second that.
This was enormously fun to watch! Thank you PBA and Fox
“Who do you guys think you are, I still have it, I still have it” The secondary version of his iconic line from 2015-16😂
I had the privilege to be able to bowl with Walter Ray last year at our little home bowling alley Twin City Bowl in Louisiana, MO. It was an awesome experience and one of my most memorable moments in bowling!
This is TRULY Awesome! I am a faithful in watching PBA whenever I can catch the events on TV or the net if I am working.
Og's. Love Walter!
I am 9 years older than this OG. LOL
Love watching Walter Ray and PDW
Such an awesome event yesterday and today .. can’t wait for tomorrow’s events .. awesome job PBA and fox sports
Amazing watching all the guys I grew up with competing against each other!
It was great to see all these legends bowling together, but it was especially good to see Norm Duke back in action. I hope he continues to be semi-retired.
Wish Duke would always keep doing these special shows, missed watching him bowl
I was so great seeing Norm back on the lanes in competition. They need to keep this format going forward.
This was fantastic!! Loved seeing the classics back!
Hey Norm, thanks for coming back!!😄😄 You were missed! Hope i get the chance to meet you one day. Probably won't happen but i can still dream.
Parker Bohn roasting his own teammate is comedic 😂
Bill O'neill has one of the most stable head positions in the game, it's almost odd to watch. One of his keys to being so dang good.
Thank God Lamont was back for this one. Makes the broadcast watchable.
It’s unbelievable to watch all of these greats, young and old!
They need to do this annually, fun to watch!
This was a wonderful idea, and I hope it can be an event to incorporate going forward. So great seeing the legends vs. the current crop (and the up-and-comers)!
That 4-8-10 was sick!
Love the format and seeing the older bowlers compete again.
I guarantee you that was one of the best tournaments I've ever seen with the young and the old!!!!!
This was so fun to watch.
“I hit the same side you did”
One of my favorite lines from norm now😂
Tom getting in between Norm and Parker was so freaking funny 😂
You can’t convince me norm still couldn’t compete on tour he’s still got a look to the pocket. Not saying he’d win a lot or at all but he would compete
I think the issue would be the grind, not his ability or shot.
@@JMetal98 yea I’m sure physically it’d be tough but he wouldn’t do every tournament
I love the battle of the ages
Pete Webber still has a beautful game
Why OLD SCHOOL one handed shot is so satisfying?
more efficient. more ball motion focused. its always pretty
One handed shot and not using a thumb hole. Actually no one throws with both hands, the delivery at release is one handed.
59:19 Fricking love this guy. Will miss this guy on the PBA Tour
Good to see Aulby again. He was pretty much my bowling guru in my early bowling days. Slow ball speed & 280 RPM did not lack for hitting power.
Speaking of hitting power - Troup's ball roll was insanely good the whole time.
great to see mike aulby
this was fun to watch, I hope they do this again
This was great. The only thing I wished the PBA did was to change lanes after every three bowlers. That would have made the game more equal. Agreed. They could at least change half way through to make it fairer.
Love when Norm was like "wait till they get my Brooklyn." Then PDW strikes and gives us the iconic line!
Duuuuuuuuuuuuke!!!!!! nice shot on that opener
I was shocked to see Pete throw his exotic gem at the 10 pin on his first frame. He is one of the best spare shooters of all time, let alone single pin spares, and he didn’t use a spare ball which he strongly suggests bowlers to throw plastic at single pin spares.

I don’t think Pete really cared, to be honest
You can easily flatten your hand out and the ball won't hook at all.
I was at the event . He only took a two ball bag.
You ARE a legend Pete! ❤️❤️
Parker and Norm 😂😂😂 love it
It is the year for Troup. He's literally winning everything lol
Troupe
Ya he looks to be feelin it for sure haha.
I love Randy instigating the entire time lol
Man, I grew up watching these legends in their primes and darn it I was hoping to see Mike Aulby bowl.
Cortez has the highest revs I’ve ever seen on a one hander
Really makes my heart happy seeing the veterans out on the lanes again. DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUKE
I havent watched bowling in years & seen this come on @ a restaurant
I was like "i wonder if parker bohn still bowls" 🤔
(He was my fav when i was younger)
& then he came on ❤
Loved this event.
This was so nice! Great idea and show!
The power of Ginger Assassin.
It’s strange how low rev rates are for WRW and Norm Duke. Always thought they were in the high 300s at least.
Norm can still throw some hard shots
Fantastic show!
Bro why does randy Peterson look so old 😭 still a legend tho 🦾
日本でもお馴染みのPBA.ピートウェーバー、ウォルターレィウィリアムス、まだ現役バリバリですね!日本から応援してます。
It's kind of funny to watch the pros. They throw at incredible speeds yet I produce good results hovering around 13.5 and 14.
Pete- 'it's humbling'
Also Pete - No idea what being humble is
Duke Duke Duke 👍❤️🇺🇸
1:01:28 no fing way lol! Yes! He warned em. "Watch out for my Brooklyn"
Norm's Brooklyn was Nastier than a truck rest stop bathroom... AND Norm called it.😆
Class makes a good show. Left lane was the clincher looked like a 50 pin advantage.
Nate reminds me of the episode of Family Guy when Quagmire discovers the internet

The legends wouldn’t have a chance in today’s modern game, lets be honest
Hahahahaha they were in it until the end they all could compete to this day
Norm was the top seed a couple years ago at The Masters.
Lets be honest then. Put the same ball and the same shot in all players hands and see who comes out ahead. It all about the ball today. When I started in the 70's it was a LT48? And in my day Don McCune soaked the covers to get the ball to hook. Gee before your time?
I hit the same side you did😂😂😂
5:42 Phoeniz? AZ lol
Walter ray not throwing the dennys spare ball is a crime
Do the LEGENDS game every Year!!!
norm duke the goat
17:27 😅 halirious
I wonder if that’s the last time we’ll ever see WRW vs PDW on tv
Probably 😢
Anyone know what that colorful pearly ball is that Troup was throwing?
Nobody deserves to be embarrassed more than pete weber. He's a mean and verbally abusive bowler.
I’m here for the Duke
The one thing I will take away from this definitively is PB3 can still hang. His ball looks the same as it did 20 years ago.
if that split is not wrw jrs signature move now, I dont know anything xd
🤣 what's with the hair on those Gen Zs 🤣
Who is the AH on the left lane flashing the bowling sign 🥵
Wish I could afford to get that pink venom ball I’d get it in a black or purple
Either keep Dave LaMont, or replace him for Dave Ryan or Rob Stone. Keep that terrible Chris Farley clone away from the camera.
I agree the Chris Farley clone is very annoying, but so is Rob Stone. Dave Ryan is ok, but Dave Lamont is the best. He knows his bowling and never makes inane comments.

Bob Ross found a much better gig
Why Randy have to say something every time they at the approach 🤦♂️😂
Great show but I just can’t get over how dark everything seems
DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUKKKKKEEEEEE!!!!!!!
Well at least they made this entertaining yesterday show was a snoozefest
I heard the Ronnie James Dio reference! Holy Diver! Deo Benard!

does amount of oil have results on revs?
I’m 36 and I actually have a black diamond ball
26:28 Did he not step over the line?
