I would recommend working on your backswing before you jump, focus on generating more strength before a spike to increase your vertical. Keep working hard bro 💪
Make sure to make your technique perfect(or close to it) as possible from the start. I always forget to go around while doing my approach and always just went straight to the net in my approach. This led to me only be able to hit lines and didn't quite learn the cross court hit. I had to fix my approach from the start
You need to make sure you have enough room for a run up, your 3rd step is way too short and you aren't turning your foot around on the last step. A good thing to practice is also coming into the corner of the net in like a C shape, it is called OUTSIDE hitter because you actually start your approach OUTSIDE the court. Other than that It looks good. Try whipping your arm a bit more maybe, it seems alot more like a "pushing hit" than a swinging hit. At 5:55 your friend goes wayyy outside which is where your run up should start from.
This is in the UK, so quite a distance from California. I’m sure you’ll find some fantastic volleyball communities and training spots in your area to enjoy and improve your skills :)
Thanks for the feedback! I really focused on getting the right timing at the start, but this footage is from towards the end of a session after playing for a few hours. I'll keep working on my movement and timing

For a better practice you need a good setter
your movement are pretty stiff and the timing could be better xoxo
