I've never been that big a fan of the animal alternate modes for Transformers but these mid-combat transformations might just sway me. The visual appeal of watching them transform between two modes that are equally suited for combat instead of just robot/combat mode and vehicle/transportation mode is so cool.
im the same a g1 purist loved the robotic look of the beast/insect transformers in g1 but HATED the organic aesthetic of Beast Wars. I really like what they have done here with the beast still looking mechanical. Also relating to this i hated beast war toys until transmetals came out and they looked robotic again

I have a little theory: Scourge has five maximal symbols, and in Beast wars there were 9 total maximals (Excluding Tigerhawk but including Dinobot.) There are four confirmed maximals, so what this could mean is that Scourge either eliminated Dinobot, Rattrap, Tigatron, Silverbolt, and Depthcharge, or they are symbols of other maximals such as BW Skywarp from the Japanse cartoon.

Instead they crammed the movie full of a crappy human story and mirage... All the characters here would have been miles better than what we got.

That is what pissed me off of this movie, they gave Mirage Jazz's altmode. Jazz had been crapped on on the Bayformers garbage, and he was a solid character, so why the hell would only Bumblebee get all the attention, just because he is kid friendly? Jazz was always the cool dude, Optimus Prime's First Lt. Even in G1. I love the Bumblebee movie to no end, far superior to the Bayformers crapfest but Jazz is still a character that has been given a bad end.

Hoping to see Rattrap in this. We got 4 Maximals confirmed, and Dinobot seems to be in his Transmetal 2 form, which looks awesome honestly. The preds also seem to be missing Waspinator and Taranculas,. but with how big the cast is at the moment. We likely won't see them. I don't have high hopes for this movie, I've never been a big fan of the movies in general. and the designs look odd to me. At least with this it does look like some of the bots will look close to their cartoon forms. Honestly I just want a pure Beast Wars film. With the full casts, I need to hear Inferno say "yes my queen" xD

Cheetor looks great. I only watched the first two Transformers movies, but it looks like they are actually recognizable in bot form now, instead of looking like ground up bits of gray Transformer stuck onto a metal frame.

I'm praying that this new trilogy will still feature the beast wars characters cuz I seriously hope dinobot gets a version of his character arc from the original show. Like he's shows up in this film,joins maximals in the 2nd and "you know what" in the 3rd. And for the love og God plz give him his low grumble voice similar to the cartoon, instead of whatever the hell they did to him in the Netflix show

Granted as someone pretty new to the transformers franchise. It seems like terrorcon here is like a general brutal deception unit, instead of one specific iteration of the team, which is cool and all. And could be relevant to the maximal inclusion if they somehow incorporate the monster forms from the og terrorcons. That being said, if they just wanted some mean ass deceptions as villains... Cough D̶J̶D̶ Cough
As much as I would have loved to see jazz and ironhide (maybe they can still show up somehow?) it’s still pretty cool to see mirage get some spotlight. Definitely one of the cooler autobots. Will always hold out for blurr, but I doubt he’ll make the cut

That's why the original BW only has 7 vs 7 by the end of season 1, and replaced some in season 2 and added just Depthcharge in season 3 (if you exclude the proto human). It's hard to balance it out if the movie is not at least 3 hours long
Easy they will focus on Maximals, Autobots & Terrorcons. Decepticons will be mostly absent and Predacons are still a bit of an unknown, we don't know their roles just yet.
Scourge has about 3 or Merc badges on his grill. I wonder which Mercs he killed to get those. Theres also an Elite Autobot badge that makes me wonder if he killed someone like Magnus..
Honestly I would like to see the mainline Megatron in the film, maybe as a post credit where he arrives on earth, you would only see his silhouette and then he takes the form of a modified tank with some G1 inspired looks maybe along with Starscream as an F-18 Hornet flying overhead, that would be a really cool post credit and it finishes with Megatron saying "I'm coming for you Prime, our war is far from finished!"
But all I know that Soundblaster is upgraded from Soundwave after dead heat battle against Broadcast/Blaster while his rival- also upgrade into Twincast in canon series of The Headmasters. I'm glad Stratosphere is debut for the first time.

Very excited they're going this route for the reboot of the live action stuff. G1 Cybertronians with the Maximals and Terrorcons this early on makes sense in the ways of the story. Sure I would love to see a G1 Prime and G1 Megatron eventually duke it out on the big screen. But not rushing into a full battle is good, let the build up happen. Let the characters be introduced, with a full squad of Wreckers, some actually story accurate lore, some good human characters, and especially those insanely good emotional story one liners that will ACTUALLY hit perfectly when said. Let any big time Con be teased like Megatron and the Seekers. Story and lore accurate is what the fans have wanted since 2007.
I totally missed Wheeljack 👍 I wonder what happened to Ironhide Ratchet and Brawn from the last movie? There were 7 Autobot pods landing at the end of the last movie so I think there’s a couple bots the trailer hasn’t shown :) 🤞

They've obviously gone for flashy looking alt modes over personality. They are going to ruin Beast Wars like Bay did to G1 so maybe it's a good thing they kept some of the best characters out of it.
I initially when I saw the arms thought Omega but when they showed the Box face that is no way that's a mega. Reminds me more of armada Smokescreen Sun streaker grapple. According to one side he kind of looks like a cross between wheelblaze and maybe Stone cruncher
The problem with the gold one is there were a lot of recallers and very small ones like the micromaster series that were yellow that could fit this look
I just turned 31 and could never get into the OG transformers but beast wars was awesome. The 3D was sick at the time. And i still remember when McDonald’s had beast wars toys

Cheetor looks great. I only watched the first two Transformers movies, but it looks like they are actually recognizable in bot form now, instead of looking like ground up bits of gray Transformer stuck onto a metal frame.

Granted as someone pretty new to the transformers franchise. It seems like terrorcon here is like a general brutal deception unit, instead of one specific iteration of the team, which is cool and all. And could be relevant to the maximal inclusion if they somehow incorporate the monster forms from the og terrorcons. That being said, if they just wanted some mean ass deceptions as villains... Cough D̶J̶D̶ Cough
One could hope for a Decepticon-focused movie in the future...... WIth the DJD as the main cast possibly

As much as I would have loved to see jazz and ironhide (maybe they can still show up somehow?) it’s still pretty cool to see mirage get some spotlight. Definitely one of the cooler autobots. Will always hold out for blurr, but I doubt he’ll make the cut

If you see the symbols in the logo were the rumours "confirm" Blackarachnia, Dinobot and Pterrosaur theres a Rat among those symbols...

That's why the original BW only has 7 vs 7 by the end of season 1, and replaced some in season 2 and added just Depthcharge in season 3 (if you exclude the proto human). It's hard to balance it out if the movie is not at least 3 hours long
Easy they will focus on Maximals, Autobots & Terrorcons. Decepticons will be mostly absent and Predacons are still a bit of an unknown, we don't know their roles just yet.
Scourge has about 3 or Merc badges on his grill. I wonder which Mercs he killed to get those. Theres also an Elite Autobot badge that makes me wonder if he killed someone like Magnus..
Honestly I would like to see the mainline Megatron in the film, maybe as a post credit where he arrives on earth, you would only see his silhouette and then he takes the form of a modified tank with some G1 inspired looks maybe along with Starscream as an F-18 Hornet flying overhead, that would be a really cool post credit and it finishes with Megatron saying "I'm coming for you Prime, our war is far from finished!"
F18s are Hornets, not eagles...only F15s have the 'eagle' denomination...

Sometimes Soundblaster is a separate character like in the Netflix series, but I am happy that Stratosphere is getting some love

Very excited they're going this route for the reboot of the live action stuff. G1 Cybertronians with the Maximals and Terrorcons this early on makes sense in the ways of the story. Sure I would love to see a G1 Prime and G1 Megatron eventually duke it out on the big screen. But not rushing into a full battle is good, let the build up happen. Let the characters be introduced, with a full squad of Wreckers, some actually story accurate lore, some good human characters, and especially those insanely good emotional story one liners that will ACTUALLY hit perfectly when said. Let any big time Con be teased like Megatron and the Seekers. Story and lore accurate is what the fans have wanted since 2007.

I initially when I saw the arms thought Omega but when they showed the Box face that is no way that's a mega. Reminds me more of armada Smokescreen Sun streaker grapple. According to one side he kind of looks like a cross between wheelblaze and maybe Stone cruncher
The problem with the gold one is there were a lot of recallers and very small ones like the micromaster series that were yellow that could fit this look
Some of the other Autobots that I can think of from Armada would be would be Autobot scavenger and hot shot but I think he's too blocky to be Hotshot
I just turned 31 and could never get into the OG transformers but beast wars was awesome. The 3D was sick at the time. And i still remember when McDonald’s had beast wars toys

6:35 it’s the Megatron who takes the form of a T.Rex. This better be in the new Transformers Movie. I have seen Grimlock the Dinobot T.Rex in the 4th & 5th Transformers Movies. This different version better make an appearance.
