- Pink Floyd 1995 Electronic Press Kit that includes Live clips and a 1995 interview with the band about their Live release from 'The Division Bell' Tour, the 'P.U.L.S.E' CD/VHS.
There's something about David. Whenever I hear his voice, whether he's singing or talking, I feel like I'm floating. So beautiful, so serene. And there's something about his eyes.
RIP Rick
I love Nick Mason. He has such a lovely sense of humour, so down to earth. He is a GOD on those drums.
1:45 Nick Mason has the 'ACTUAL' device from the 'Relics' album cover sitting behind him. WOOOOOOOOW
That's not the actual device from the album. It was made for him as a gift, MANY years after he drew the picture for the album cover...
In other words, there was no actual device from the album...
saw both tours, and one day i will be in my rocking chair telling my great grandchildren of the great rock legends, i'll just leave out certain parts as it was just recreational!!
i respect you n i too wish that wish u were here .............. :)
Greatest Band Ever!!!! PULSE is One of the greatest Live Performance in rock history! :)
Pink Floyd is everyday in my life. 1994 in Berlin was the best thing i've ever seen. David is a hero. Waters too.
David Wall Yes I feel the same ! I don’t really like it when people just cut Pink Floyd in separate parts, with Roger on a side, David on another etc. Music is here to share emotions with people not to divide them. David’s a hero, Roger’s a hero, and Syd, Nick and Rick are heroes as well. Pink Floyd is the best thing that ever happen in my life and I’m sure that I’m not the only one here to be thankful for all the magic❤️
David Gilmour is the best guitar player ever. Period. So many guys are great players, but they sound alike, Dave has his own sound, when you hear it, you know its him.
@MrBjanka I forgot to add the 2003 Gilmour-led era "reunion" in the funeral of their manager, Steve O'Rourke. Nick Mason joined David and Rick & band for 'Wish You Were Here' and 'Comfortably Numb' at David's last night at Royal Albert Hall, back in 2006, and in 2007, David, Nick & Rick performed 'Arnold Layne' at the Syd Barrett tribute gig at Barbican Hall. In 2011, at the London O2, Mason & Gilmour joined Waters for 'Outside The Wall', David did 'Comfortably Numb' too.
Time is TIMELESS
Indeed! I feel VERY lucky to have seen them when I did- And Roger Waters later on.
YUP seen Floyd in Toronto in 94..... 2 of the 3 best live show i ever seen
Thanks for posting this. Glad to be able to see this.
thank you very much for uploading this. it is so wonderful to see these great people behind the music and really here them speak. i grew with pink floyd and this is a great vid for me since i live dave and rick.
Thanks for posting this. Thanks very much!
Thanks Soo Much Great Interview of All 3 Blessed they were in my lifetime and You Tube ( I never got to see Pink Floyd live )
@IsisTiamat
I agree with you, but since the 60's, PF has been using lightshow and effects on stage, it's been a part of their concerts since the Syd Barrett days, with psychedelic light etc. projected onto the band on stage. From 1973 and onwards, when they started to play bigger and bigger concert halls and stadiums, the effects, lightshows, stage props etc. became bigger.
I loved this era. But Roger Waters made all those songs what they were. Lyrically, vocally (largely) and had a huge influence on their sound. I'm a guitarist so I'm in Gilmours corner, but Waters is a legend. They all are! R.I.P Richard Wright too :(
Nick Mason has got quite a sense of humor; not so stoic, serious, reserved ... or dare I say, not so stuffy.
He’s a drummer. That’s how they are.
I love you guys!!!!R.I.P Syd and Rick
Best concert ever in the history of our Earth!
i am a lucky guy, because i saw the floyd at the pulse tour 94 in wr.neustadt.chances are low to see them again.greetings fom austria!!!!
I heartily agree!! Truly an incredible song from an incredible band. There's a poetic justice and beauty to the situation here; that it is so fitting lyrically and emotionally to be their last recorded song. David's slide steel (or is it called pedal steel?) playing is haunting and tearfully exquisite. Sad that the multicam version of this great song from the Pulse tour has been blocked off TH-cam due to some Copyright B.S. Thanks for posting this interview.
Great stuff! Thanks for posting!!!
fantastic band
Nunca mais haverá outra banda igual a essa nuncaaaaaaaas
Best concert I ever saw.
ZERO dislikes! this is what happens when true pf fans come together! cheers!
saw PFloyd in Seattle '75 (where that night, April 10th, the actual phone call was made to his wife by Roger phoning home and a guy answered...ended up being a song on "The Wall"), and in '78, and in Vancouver in '94.
Superb.
New York Rangers beat the Vancouver Canucks in 1994, for the Stanley Cup, too...
dark side of the moon is truely a masterpiece!
Oh Richard: so many many years later, young and old we are all going to The Wall... just WISH YOU WERE HERE dear angel. RIP
Well, my dad told me about Floyd shows my whole life...he took me to the Foxboro, Mass show, May 20th, 94'.....I was 11. Changed my life.
Why was I born too late ? I would do anything to live a PF concert :(
Brilliant stuff! RIP PF
rest in peace Rick
I great to get know about the volume of work required to put out all together, this is not about only fun, these guys are such great professionals and since the 60s they al care about quality, thats why the fans admiration comes from. So they DO deserv the worship of fans. Thanks a LOT Pink Floyd
I can only think that the quality of the filming of a cell phone today is many times superior to all these devices from 1994, but even so, the fun of today is to go to the show and not even look at what happens on stage, but keep filming to watch on a small screen what you could watch live. Crazy, isn't it?
"Quality"🤣🤣🤣🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
I love this shit. I wish i could see everything, ever recorded on pink floyd.
Best band ever in my opinion but that's just my opinion
Foxboro Stadium (a.k.a. Sullivan Stadium) 06 may 1988 ... will never forget it!
Frankly, I couldn't care less about the visual shows. They are great but the music stands on its own. In fact I listen to PF mostly with eyes shut; I could go to their concerts and be blind folded and it would not matter!! Wonderful video. Thx
Thanks Azza! :)
excellent video not seen this before
@cheesedude5050 That is 'High Hopes' from 'The Division Bell' (1994). Pink Floyd's last studio album, and 'High Hopes' was the last song recorded for that album, and thefore the last ever original Pink Floyd song. Amazing song to finish four decades of fantastic music.
Is it still rare if it's been posted on TH-cam? Or is this rare because PF members don't normally get interviewed?
the live version is way better. musically it is way stronger then the studio version
@cheesedude5050 "High Hopes" from the Devision Bell
Yes, you're right! I don't know why but to me, Nick always seemed to have been the most well spoken of the lot... well, just *slightly* better off than the others!... ;-)
Gutted I’ll never see it live.
I remember seeing this footage on VH1 (VH1-1 program) many years ago
@MrBjanka The PULSE was Recorded in 1994 not 95. it was realesed. mt dad have the pre-realesed PULSE.
I saw this tour live at Earls Court...I'd press 'like' ten times if it'd let me.
@hampton2108
He was referring to the song 'Dogs' on 'Animals'. I know that 'Dogs Of War' is on 'A Momentary Lapse Of Reason'. But this is interviews done promoting the PULSE album release back in 1995, and 'Dogs Of War' wasn't performed during the 1994 'Division Bell' tour at all, only in 1987-89.
@HughieDixon 'Amused To Death', a good record, Roger's best writing as a solo artist, but again he is in need of a big (guitar) player name to attrackt interest. I know you disagree, but it's the truth. Roger was furious in 1984 when Clapton got a bigger cheer than him when the band were introduced. 'A momentary Lapse' has it's moments, but 'The Divison Bell' is a masterpiece up there with 'Animals', 'Piper At The Gates...', 'The Wall' , 'Wish You Were Here', 'Meddle' and 'Dark Side...'.
J'ai acheté Pulse...Le meilleur des meilleurs!!
What's that thing behind Nick Mason? I know is in the Relics album cover, but what is it?
i own this dvd settttt. loveee.
WAHHRICHARD. :'(
@MrBjanka Pink Floyd never toured after 1994, so that's impossible. After the 1995 release of the PULSE CD, LP BOX and VHS release, and the 1996 induction to the US Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame, where they performed 'Wish You Were Here', Pink Floyd ceased all their activities, until the one off performance in 2005 at Live 8, and a few times later (but without Waters), such as David's Royal Albert Hall encores in 2006, and the Syd Barret tribute gig in 2007, as well as the 2011 performance w. Waters.
i saw pinkfloyd pulse tour in Sweden best 2½ mins in my life
What song is that at 1:04?
If you still haven’t found out, it’s High Hopes off the Division Bell :-)
I wish David and Nick would go out one last time ,,
01:30 that bizarre machine from Relics album cover...
Listen to "Is there anybody out there?" from the wall. It most likely is Gilmour playing the acoustic and it sounds like his take on Flamenco and all those other vibrant latin American, caribbian, and coastal genres.
@pinkfloydman123 Of course Roger isn't interviewed, he had left the band 10 years earlier, and didn't play on the 'Division Bell' tour.
Two successful albums and tours without Roger, sums it up....and a much happier Pink Floyd, than 1977-83.
The number of times I sat in my car at 1,2, or 3 in the morning with my friends just to listen to Pulse is countless. Same with Dark Side, The Wall, Division Bell, Animals, Obscured and all the rest. We spent a lot of time in my driveway.
yeah only song where gilmour plays spanish guitar
@cheesedude5050 It's called High Hopes! just beautiful
@hogwarts09 They are, that's why I love them.
Oh my god Nick Mason has the "Relics" thing in his house! :D
Relics 'thing' love it, who knows what the hell it is, a relic I guess...
@BrokenChair88
But what you wrote, you wrote in another video of mine, and it is totally out of context with the video. The song 'Dogs' was written by Gilmour and Waters. If I or anyone else needs to know who wrote what song, I can always google or wikipedia it... 'Dogs' isn't even on 'A Momentary Lapse Of Reason' for instance, so why post "Pink Floyd wrote 'Dogs'," there?
@cheesedude5050 the song is called "High Hopes"
@SilverTounge85 Neither did he play on the 'Momentary Lapse of Reason' tours.
@gardenofarcane i think there can be a case made for that but after that huge 1980 1990 fiasco he came out a better person and extended an arm out for a reunion but gilmour wouldnt do it which annoyed me but idk they're both such different people and there are somethings that are difficult about both of them
@MrBjanka can i correct you?? the P.U.L.S.E was recorded in 1994. not 95
@SilverTounge85 - "The Dogs of War" was most certainly on A Momentary Lapse of Reason...look it up.
A Proper What!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aaah, the Floyd's droll humour!
Nick Mason on the band's decision to perform Dark Side of The Moon live for the first time in 19 years:
"There does seem to be a demand for it". Talk about British reserve!
And Dave's not far behind:
"It was quite magical to perform it the first few times..."
What? Meaning that the rest of the performances were a chore and utter hell to get through?
Oh dear, this made laugh.
@ChablesMan who the hell is 'James' ..?!?!?!?!
What the hell is wrong with James' hair?
@HughieDixon No, most of the majority of the music was written by Gilmour and later Wright as well, with some input from Bob Ezrin. Certainly much more melodic and interesting than ol' Roger released. Look at his releases as a solo artist. 'Pros & Cons'...the reason people attended was to hear Clapton play Floyd, 'Radio KAOS'...too cheesy to even mention, lowlife concept and Paul Carrack's synthplaying ruins it all.
"recorded 20 shows" Imagine if they leaked out on the bootleg market? Sure wish Zeppelin would have done that...
0 DISLIKES! I LUV U GUYS!
Losing Syd was not even remotely close to losing Roger! Yes, it was a big deal to lose Syd, but it was very early on, this was not a well established act yet. Pink Floyd had become one of the biggest acts in the world, most folks outside of England didn't even know who Syd was, or if there ever was a Pink Floyd before David Gilmour! Now you're going on the road with the lion' share of Rogers's work without Roger! No, not the same at all.
gilmour guitar god
@SilverTounge85 damn i was born in 1994
"I am David Gilmour, look at my shoe"
@giddiand Bollocks! I suspect you would say it is original Floyd without Barrett too, or without Rick in 1983 when they released 'The Final Cut'? It's Pink Floyd even without Waters, only a handful of biased morons with their head up Waters' a** thinks otherwise. Sour grape-posts like yours I delete. You seem more interested in forcing your biased opinion on others, than to enjoy the musical mastermind Gilmour & co in this interview.

You'll have to get in line behind this fangirl. ;)
Unfortunatly 4 1Direction fans have seen this. They need to get "Floyducated" a word I just made up.. As of this moment I realise that other people probably already used this word before, however my point remains.
@gardenofarcane you realize that without roger that about 99% of their music wouldnt exist he basicly wrote all of dark side of the moon, the wall and wish you were here so its pretty hard to say he has no place in that band i admit that his ego is big and he can be kind of a prick but its a complete lie to say that he had no place in the band
James Guthrie is brilliant.
But his hair in the 90s... OOF.
@BrokenChair88
Stop spamming!
@hogwarts09 they're from england ...
Unlike the other rock band members who look funky with all those piercings, tatoos and long hair, Pink Floyd's members look very professional in their dressing and appearence. No wonder they are English.
@ChablesMan He was balding at the time I guess.
@MoveOverCasanova Well, at least he aged well. Roger Waters face has almost fallen apart these days after all the plastic surgeries he did in the mid 80's. He looks like a stroke-patient these days. Like my great-grandma when she lived. Oh...and the grey mullet-wig...oh jeez. Haha!
Hear the truth at 8:40
@flannel10101 David IS Pink Floyd. Roger is a lipsynching twat milking Pink Floyd for all it's worth. Syd would roll over if he knew what Roger did. Syd created the band.
