Roger Water should have been there to accept induction and Syd Barrett was still alive at this time. In fact, he would be alive for another 10 years after this. RIP Rick Wright (who died in 2008) and Roger "Syd" Barrett (who died in 2006).
@@carlosalbertovz I agree with some things but mostly just choose to ignore the things I don't agree with. In my opinion the positives outweigh the negatives.
Pink Floyd contributed 21,000 British pounds (224,000 adjusted for inflation) to the financing of Monty Python's "The Holy Grail". I'm sure they rubbed elbows on multiple occasions.
I wish I was older so that I could see them perform when they were together....:( I only saw Waters. Hope to see Gilmour next. Thanks to my dad for introducing me to this
I've always held the members of the Floyd in the highest esteem. They will forever influence me in everything I do I grew up with them I evolved with their music. Since the late 60's, I've immersed myself into them. I would be a different person if they never existed.
David’s speech was 10 seconds and acknowledged Roger and Syd. The former was not in attendance because he was still pissed off that David, Rick and Nick carried on without him with huge success and the latter was not in attendance for obvious reasons. Rick acknowledged Roger and Syd. Rick always took the high road on his issues with Roger who kicked him out in 1979 in a four year plan to ease Wright out. Rick also acknowledged Syd and knows Syd started Pink Floyd NOT Roger. His speech was 30 seconds. Nick Mason’s speech covered the engineers, co-producers, Storm Thorgerson (who was a record label’s worst nightmare for album cover design) and Steve O’Rourke who was manager of the band from the time Syd left to the day he died in 2003 and remained close friends with David, Nick and Rick and also managed their solo careers and saw and guided them to superstardom and also made sure that their record labels EMI in Europe and Columbia/Sony for the rest of the world let them do what they wanted.
Rick Wright. What a humble human being. RIP🙏

Syd was a recluse and went back to his birth name at his mothers house
Syd was so detached by then, it didn't matter to him. But I'm glad they always made it a point to mention his importance.
I wonder if Syd ever got his hall of fame trophy
@The Terrence Reardon Podcast David is such a great human being omg
agree
R.I.P. Richard Wright and Syd Barrett. Hope David and Nick continue doing music.
Roger too
I hate Roger, not his music, him as a person
@@carlosalbertovz I agree, I was talking about music.
His music is great but the reason I didn’t mention him on purpose, is because I really hate him, specially what he writes on Twitter.

Rock seems to have been the most humble and gracious and nicks got a sharp wit and reminds me of a Monty python actor here haha
He does share some similarity with Eric Idle

Say what you will but the I love this trio too

I totally believe with all of my might....Nick Mason is Pink!!!! That answers the question who is Pink!!
No syd was pink!
@@samuelayers8287 Nicks the only member too appear on every pink Floyd album and single tho
No, Syd is Pink.
You definitely touch people with your music, the greatest band of all time
Nick is a very funny man
Love them all, but you are exactly right!
The whole band started with Syd. That's damn right.
Dave is the real pink floyd star
Who gives every thing to this band
So my respect to mr David gilmour
Dave gilmour forever
Syd is Pink Floyd.

I finally got to see a Pink Floyd concert in 1994. It was great, but, it would have been better if Roger Waters was on that final tour.
Roger would have rather drank Liquid Plumber than play with his ex-bandmates.
RIP Syd and Rick
Roger is still alive. Rick is gone, though.
it bugs me how nonchalant yet underwelming this induction seems
top gear
what about Roy Harper he sang lead vocals on Have a Cigar

👍👍👍👍
In typical music fashion, the drummer has the most to say. Also, did you notice how each person got more and more dressed for the occasion?
Which one's Pink? Hee-hee. You Pink Floyd fans will get it!
aww rick they should make that trophy a pizza cutter lmfao
A very poor effort there.
