I've never had any issues with any of my PSA rifles. Plus, you have to consider where your money is going. When you support a company that supports you, they'll give back to you in the long run. PSA is going crazy with expanding their lineup. They're coming out with all kinds of new guns using the money they've made. In a couple years, they could be your one-stop shop for any budget gun you want whether it's a rifle, pistol, or shotgun. Sure there probably are better guns out there, but as someone living paycheck to paycheck I just prefer PSA personally.
90% of people will be perfectly fine with a PSA. I've never had issues with their stuff. Plus they actively support the 2nd Amendment, while offering fair prices.
Where your money goes is HUGE!!! Are PSA a Danial Defense and Knights? Nope. Unless you are a tier 1 operator planning on being the main character in SHTF thinking you have plot armor and it’s call of duty in real life you will likely be fine not having all the high speed gucci gear.. Does PSA have the same scale of QC? Nope.. But I’ve seen Daniel Defense get sent back.. You may risk getting something that requires you to tinker a bit or send back. But that gives you experience with having an issue and troubleshooting it helping you understand more how it works. News flash, rifles no matter the cost go down. I own 3 rifles that may are more expensive than PSA, but not a DD or KAC.. I live in reality. A lot of highly trained soldiers with far superior kit came home in a box due to guys far less trained and running around with worn out AK’s and in sandals.. Think if you talk to honest war vets the vast majority of them will tell you they were lucky to come home. The reality is, the more fighting you do the less chance of survival you have. Even the least expensive of PSA’s offerings have been documented going 5-6k rounds. That’s a hell of a lot of fighting and surviving without getting badly wounded and ineffective or dead. I don’t know many people that can just go and buy a $2000 rifle and 5k rounds for everyone in their family, much less all the other high speed gucci gear. Then you are looking at training, and if you are looking to do formal training that’s stupid expensive. I train with family and friend vets. People will say if you can’t just go buy all the high speed high end gear save.. Reality is we don’t get a choice when the time comes to actually need and use it. A lot of training time missed saving for something unattainable and might still not have it when the time comes to use it.. I often wonder if these people realize people have families they have to kit up also.. lol Thing I like about PSA is their mission and their actions back it up they are serious about it. I haven’t put pen to paper but financially I don’t think it makes sense to shoot factory FMJ during training then reload the brass with defensive bullets anymore with AAC offerings. And that’s just components not counting equipment and time. I’m sure I could probably learn to hand load more accurate rounds. But of the AAC I’ve shot so far out of all my firearms it does pretty damn good.. I don’t see DD or KAC offering ammo much less reasonable priced ammo that is more than capable of getting the job done.. That’s where it becomes important who you spend your money with. While the high speed gucci companies are lining their pockets PSA has expanded into pretty much a 1 stop shop for firearms for the preppers/prepared citizens..
I’m honestly shocked you guys didn’t have the LWRC ic-di. It’s under 1400, full ambi, fluted barrel, very high quality and rifle. I picked mine up for 1250.
Love my IWI Zion. It definitely punches above its price point, comes from a very reputable manufacturer, and runs like a top. Only stock part I've upgraded is the charging handle. Can't beat a weapon made by a country that's perpetually at war with people who want to kill them 24/7.
live4hockey I agree 100 %. I have 2 a 12 inch and a 16. What you get for the price is much better than others in the same price range. There great guns for sure.
Lol I was with you about the gun until you yapped about Israel being a victim. Just so you know, they would be a shithole in the desert without your tax dollars.
"I've never had trouble with my..." "I've shot 5k through mine with no failures..." are anecdotal arguments. It doesn't negate the problems others have with their rifles. This is not brand specific. If you really run a rifle it will have a failure ever once in awhile.
@@racerdude888 What a dumb argument. That's like saying "Just because you drive your car 200,000 miles doesn't mean it's never gonna break a part." Of course something is gonna go bad at some point, but you can buy reputation on performance and longevity. Why did I get a Tundra? Because everyone I know who has a Tundra loves it, it can go easily over 300K with minimal maintenance, and has a high resale value. Why did I get a Zion? Same reason.
@@live4hockey2 I wasn't responding to this comment. Some youtube weirdness. I was responding to the PSA guy that "never has problems" IWI is a great rifle. Shoot enough and any brand will have problems tho
I got a radical firearm. Ran about 5k rounds so far not a single malfunction. Running perfectly definitely exceeded my expectations definitely a good choice for around $500
I know some people feel different towards Daniel Defense because the price.. but, owning the DDM4 V7 Pro is nice. I don’t have a bunch of rifles so I go the quality route since I’m a minimalist. My side arm is the Shield plus carry comp. Love both!
@@Wmikewtonytone Love my M&P 2. But it isn't close to a BCM. And once you get into upgrading the Sport 2 you are pretty much at the price point of BCM.
I’m a recent new gun owner. I got a tippmann m4-22 to get some experience first but bought a 16” Magpul Sabre a few weeks ago. I absolutely love it. I was drawn to the fn chf barrel and radiant upgrades throughout. I got the hyper fire trigger and it feels awesome. With cheap irons it shoots quarter sized groups at 25yds. I’m not an expert by any means but I recommend, to anyone, either of the rifles I listed.
Zion seems great at the price. I feel like easy general recommendations are: 1) $400-500 - PSA AR15 2) $800 - IWI Zion 3) ~$1100 - BCM Upper and pick whatever lower (anything from a $160 PSA to a $400 Aero) 4) Anything over a BCM you're really just paying for something very specific you want, but getting diminishing returns. I got a good deal on a DDM4 V7 since it was the limited series and got it including the case, 5 mags, cleaning kit, comes with a full ambi lower, Geissele SSA trigger and Blue Force Vickers sling for $1800. Feel like at that price, or even $1900 that's a pretty solid value. When I found out about it, I told myself I'd pick one up for $1700-1800, but wasn't about to for $2000-2100. The PSA Sabres seem like interesting/decent options, but I'm not sure they really offer anything over a BCM and don't have the track record BCM does when you can get a lower with a BCM upper for the same price as a Sabre.
I'm fairly certain that PSA overtorques their barrels in order to avoid using barrel shims, which often clocks the feedramps, and can shear the indexing pin.
I recently purchased the IWI Zion 15 and really like it. The only thing I changed was I replaced the charging handle with a Radian which works much better with the LPVO that I put on it. I am not real fussy with triggers so the one it came with is good enough for me. I will say that the MSRP was $899.99 when I bought it and I think it has gone up to $949.99 now. You would be hard pressed to find one at $800. An honorable mention that I have been looking at is the Stag-15 Tactical with the Hanson profile barrel and other upgrades.
Truly like the way you guys recorded gun shots on your videos.. gun shots sounds like true to real conditions. Its just a detail but good to see its not over exaggerated...
The S&W m&p sport 3 deserves to be on this list. I still have the sport 1 and never failed on me and that's also with a bunch of cheap tula ammo ran through it.
I also have a DB15 in white tiger stripe and it’s been a great rifle I haven’t had any problems with it and I have a m&p 15 sport 2 they are both great rifles under $1000 in my opinion
My favorite bang for your buck is andro corp industries, got their ACI-15 on sale and haven't had a single issue with it, thinking about trying the ACI-10 next
Sig Tread M400 is a good option. I suped it up with an aftermarket rail, light, optic and trigger. Best 1300 I spent. Have had zero issues with it and it runs like a beast.
*All of them are excellent ARs. You can't go wrong with any of the 5. With that said, my very favorite is the IWI Z-15 Tactical, the best deal for your money. Say, why 5 Radical Firearms RF-15 is being ignored?*
There are many good ARs out there. I buy for the barrel. My current AR is the DDM4. Shoots .5 moa with smks. Shoots most things under 2in. 1:7 crome chf. Never had a problem in 5k rounds. DD upper on PSA lower. Hats off to BCM and PSA and Anderson Manufacturing.
I love my basic DB15! Planning on a full-rail hand guard, QD stock, ERGO grip. Might change the RDS for an LPVO. So far I’ve attached a cheap sling, Streamlight HL-X Pro, magpul vertical foregrip, and a Radian Raptor LT. In the future I’ll get a BCM BCG and still deciding on the barrel. About 2k rounds through her as of right now and zero hiccups of any kind. 55gr, 62gr, BTHPs, she eats it all without complaint!
You all need to just make the commitment to get the tools etc. required to build your own. Will it cost more? Absolutely. But the knowledge you acquire along the way is vastly more valuable. You can modify and repair just about any issue and by putting it together you know you'll have all the tools needed to later fix it.
AERO PRECISION ……..IMO. IS one of the best weapons, that is priced just right for the build and material they use. It’s right on that borderline of being considered an above avg midddle of the class weapon. Look at the specs and materials used for their builds, it’s right there with the $2k weapons out there. Never a disappointment.
I'm running a CMMG Resolute MK4. Amazing gun. I didn't have to add anything to the rifle. It's like a Shadow Systems Glock clone. Has everything I would add to a stock AR15.
My built Aero Gen2 lower and complete upper M4E1 slimline 16”. Aero buffer tube in OD green with CMMG lower kit, Fail-Zero M16 Nickel Brown BGC, Geissele SSA-E trigger, Magpul MOE K2 grip for around $700. I got a scope, charge handle, etc. for free from my brother in-law spare parts. My nephew 300 blackout I’m liking it more and more I fire it Side note any lower receiver needs to go to FFL.
I agree LT. when they say “TOP FIVE”. I’m expecting top tier AR-15’s,( at any price), like Noveski, Knights Armament, LMT, DD, and Radian. And that’s just for starters!
Really great choices. I have 2 different Sabre rifles and got them for $800 or less by buying the lower and upper separately. I'd live to get a BCM someday.
Diamondback rifles are the only rifles I’ve ever seen bolts snap in. You guys need to check out Evolve Weapon Systems out of McKinney, TX. They have fancy models, but they also have models that are more budget friendly like the ones you showed here. Outstanding quality control and lifetime warranty.
I built a Daniel defense ddm4v7 for 1000$. I got a ddm4v7 16in 300 blkout with a mig length gas system. Slapped it on an Anderson complete lower. Swapper the trigger to a trigger tech drop in duty trigger and added a kungfu grip and b5 stock. Runs like a champ with the omega 300 can!
I really think everyone is sleeping on the Sig M400 SDI Series X Rifle. I did all the same research as everyone else, and I landed on the SDI Series X as my go-to AR15. It's price point is maybe a little high, but God damn it is a good rifle. Full ambi including bolt catch/release, mag release, safety, charging handle. Solid 2 stage match lite trigger. The only complaint i have is the barrel is tapered, which means you need an adapter to put on different muzzle devices, which it does come with OTB, but it is an observation worth mentioning. There's 0 wobble in the upper and lower, it's lightweight and has a full Pic rail with 45/90 mlok slots. Why more ppl don't talk about this rifle is a total mystery to me
Because its an entry level rifle. There are companies like DB that take entry level rifles and add a few things like what you mentioned. When you pay for a mid tier rifle the money goes into quality control and most mid tier rifles have chrome lined barrels. Id say the only mid tier rifle I'd pay for without a chrome lined barrep is SOLGW. All the momey goes into quality control and attention to detail.
@@That1guy89 its the same rifle. The upgrades to mid tier rifles goes to QC and barrel quality. Sig's ARs are the same quality components for barrel and BCG and QC as Ruger and S&W. Thats also how you see people paying over 1k for a DB. Entry level rifle with upgrades. You can get a mid tier rifle and make those same upgrades but you will be close to 2K at that point. Yiu chose entry level rifle with upgrades over a basic mid tier rifle that you could upgrade parts on if needed.
@WREKLOC the fully ambi lower was the main draw for me. Upgraded the ch to radian, and the bcg runs with 0 issues so it seems fine but ya it's probably mil spec at best. Barrel is chromoly steel, not chf sure, maybe a point to upgrade in the future but it's fine for my first rifle so far? The lower and upper fit/finish is what drew me to the m400 sdi over other rifles in the same price bracket. I'm not making the case that it's better than a BCM, but I think it's a better pic than stags, aeros, s&ws, springfields, and is in the D&D / LWRI category of DI ARs. I've had it for 3 months and have maybe 1000 rounds through it currently. Time will tell I suppose.
@@That1guy89 im sorry man, i didnt meant to sound like i was bashing on the rifle. Its a great choice for you first one. I was addressing price which honestly comes down to personal choice. I agree with what you said up until you said its same level as DD and LWRC. I would disagree with that. I place BCM at same level as those yet other will still place DD higher over their rail and barrel. If you've shot 1K rounds through it without cleaning it a single time and have had zero malfunctions, i would be very happy with it.
My BCM MK2 14.5 bfh elw is my go to war, Core 15 16” is my trainer because it’s so well built and I can burn it to the ground and get a replacement. It’s on par except for the rail, quality wise to the BCM and the warranty is second to none. My Palmetto / Aero SPR build is a sub MOA hunting rifle. No experience with the others
Great review. I thought that the Sugar Weasel would have made it but it's just slightly outside of the price point but would have been a great honorable mention. And the Springfield Saint not making it was VERY surprising as well. They're all good guns but I always believe in my heart that PSA rifles are always underrated but perhaps it's just me. Cheers.
Anodization that looks slightly different doesn’t mean it’s inferior. It’s an electro/chemical process and can vary in shades a little. Not sure I’d say the finish on the Zion is worse than the BCM by any means.
Springfield Armory Saint should definitely rank here!! Not a PSA fan. Have Daniel's, Aero's, BCM and SA's. Out of the box the SA is top notch at the price point mentioned as well.
Want to throw in Pro2A Tactical for their 300blk 12.5" uppers. Half the cost of every other 12.5" barrel upper, runs flawlessly. PSA lower and AR10 from PSA, as well as several high quality parts on very good sale. Got $100 off a Geissele two stage trigger from PSA, they have tons of great deals if you watch for them. And the AAC ammo? Amazing and as cheap as it gets. I could buy Hornady Black 110gr VMAX for $32 a box, or pay 60 to 65 cents a round at AAC for the exact same bullet. It just doesn't make sense to exclude or be snobbish about PSA(not saying that you guys did that, but there are a LOT of haters). They fulfill their role.
One thing that needs to be talked about is how often you use your rifle. Of all my friends, all of whom have rifles, I must train with mine ten times the amount that they do. There are a ton of rifles that are just fine if you are putting 250 rounds through them a year. But if you are running that SOB like you’re training for WWIII, don’t be afraid to invest a bit more. PSA is good for the buck but a BCM is THE RIFLE.
From what I can tell, the only differences in the Diamondback carbon vs black gold, diamond, obsidian is the hand guards, lowers and potentially trigger. They all use the same barrels and bcg, correct?
I'll never buy another PSA upper or a PSA rifle until they get their barrel torquing procedure down in a quality way. I'm fairly certain that PSA overtorques their barrels in order to avoid using barrel shims, which often clocks the feedramps, and can shear the indexing pin. Have you ever seen a barrel shim on a PSA product? People report torqje values on PSA barrels into the 150' to 200' lbs range. No, they dont use Rocksett either. None was on mine. Had to take mine apart due to feedramp misalignment issues, and the entire workbench was lifting.
My Ruger MPR model 8452 has been a great rifle, Paid $700.62 dollars out the door. Has B5 furniture, Hammer Forged barrel and chromlined BCG. Has been a excellent rifle.
I want thank you in keeping us informed on good selections of AR 15!!! I truly enjoy viewing your channel. Unfortunately I live in state where our dense politicians strongly dislike Second Amendment and banned us from buying such firearms. Oh I’d love to move but I’m a plaintiff here in Connecticut challenging the semiautomatic rifle ban and that requires my permanent residence here. Again thank you for what you all do and we advance our Second Amendment rights to the next generation and the next and next generation after that. I like Aero Precision myself!!!
I have some high end AR's and some budget AR's and my 2 budget guns are a Anderson and a Aero M5 with a Enhanced upper and the finish on them 2 are flawless perfect better then the more expensive ones and they both run good have done some upgrades tho.
I didn't know BCM made a $1300 rifle. Mine was 2k and it broke my heart because I'm poor. And poorer after setting it up. BCM is worth it. Especially for 1300
Tbh I have been wanting to try the YHM but kinda have stayed away from their rifles because I feel like they more of a suppressor company. Maybe it’s time for a change!

From the list you guys give, I would say IWI and BCM would be the one I buy ❤🎉😊
got a complete deal on psa site last week 11.5 upper for 350$ and a complete lower for 170$ . Bcm is never in stock when I’m looking .
My favorite bang for your buck is andro corp industries, got their ACI-15 on sale and haven't had a single issue with it, thinking about trying the ACI-10 next
I do business with Aero and they are some of the finest people to work with.
I had a areo. I miss it never had any issues
BCM
LWRC
SOLGW
Sionics
Geissele
Buy when on sale. Also out of those guns you picked Diamond back?LOL
Bcm all day with no question is a tank
Sig Tread M400 is a good option. I suped it up with an aftermarket rail, light, optic and trigger. Best 1300 I spent. Have had zero issues with it and it runs like a beast.
*All of them are excellent ARs. You can't go wrong with any of the 5. With that said, my very favorite is the IWI Z-15 Tactical, the best deal for your money. Say, why 5 Radical Firearms RF-15 is being ignored?*
Sons of Liberty Gun Works for the win.
I recently got the iwi Zion 16" as my first gun I'm really loving the iwi Galil Ace Gen 2 762 than I want a Beretta 1301 Tactical
IMO The Top 5 Best Carbines are...
No particular order..
1. Centurion CM4 11.5" FBI HRT HF or 14.5" Midweight HF With C4 / CMR MLOK Rail..
2. BCM MK2 RECCE 11 ELW BFH With M10 MLOK Rail or RECCE 14 E.M.W.F. With M13 MLOK Rail..
3. Geissele Super Duty 11.5 or 14.5 With MLOK Rail & Ambi Controls Lower..
4. Griffin MK2 11.5 With PW GP5 ECO-FLOW ( One Stamp Carbine ) , MLOK Rail & MK2 Ambi Controls Lower..
5. LWRCI M6 IC DI 12.7" or 14.7" or 16"..
Love LWRC...been the best for me.
I agree with Geissele and Centurion
I bought a dpms ar a couple months ago I don’t ever see people talk about them but they’re great rifles for the money👍🏻
They are very cheap and went out of business. They're fine, but they are bottom tier.
Just got a saber lower like 4 weeks ago and love it and I think it’s a great value when paired with a solid upper like BCM, armalite, or etc.
M&P sport 2 and 3 are best bank for the buck
Love my Pro2a Tactical Patriot. Great guys, great quality, great customer service
I appriciate the category for each sponser placement
AERO PRECISION ……..IMO. IS one of the best weapons, that is priced just right for the build and material they use. It’s right on that borderline of being considered an above avg midddle of the class weapon. Look at the specs and materials used for their builds, it’s right there with the $2k weapons out there. Never a disappointment.
2:39 the fixed backpacks are peak mall ninja
Lol
The canted double pistol speed reload pouches are a very close second
What’s wrong with those. Running them things straight up is way less comfortable.
@@ElliottDelparen’t they more team oriented? I guess your situation determines your kit
My nephew 300 blackout I’m liking it more and more I fire it
Side note any lower receiver needs to go to FFL.
love your reviews, nice to see not everyone in the gun community is goofy.
Just got my bcm mk2 16” complete upper yesterday. Just waiting on my aero m4e1 complete lower to arrive at my ffl. Excited to see how it holds up!
This would be my first rifle as well
Solid choice. It will be your favorite AR. Extremely reliable.
@@WREKLOC now I just have to wait for the lower to actually ship out. Been 5 days haha. Pain in the ass
BCM is a top contender definitely top of this 5 I wouldn't even consider the other ones yall really need to get some real hitters on the channel
It was just around the price range. BCM is a killer rifle no doubt.
I agree LT. when they say “TOP FIVE”.
Scored 2 Stag Arms Mid length uppers in 2022 for $325 each.
Paired with a BCM ion bolt carrier.
BattleComp 1.0 muzzle break.
Warhammer Mod2 charging handle
Sig Sauer M-400 SDI X-Series is a great all around AR at the $1,200-1,300 mark. Full ambi, including bolt lock/release.
I love mine
You guys should review the ruger ar 556 mpr it comes with a cold hammer forged barrel. Super solid rifle for like 1300
Got my Ruger 556 mpr with the 18" barrel for $850 plus tax
Nice Job. Good middle run review. I appreciate the good work. Good vid.
Ruger MPR is a great rifle.
Y’all should do different types of AK reviews! Zastava, century arm and psa and whatever else!
We actually just bought a zastava and a PSA ak to review
@ hell yea brotha! I have both but I wanna hear y’all’s opinion on them! God bless
Thank You for the run-down Gentleman. 💪🇺🇸
Why no accuracy tests between those? That's what many of us would like to see.
@WREKLOC id agree the m400 tread series is entry level. But the M400 SDI Series X is a full upgrade in every way.
Love my 1st Gen Sig 516! Never ever an issue!
Sparky finally upgraded that carrier to match😂😂
The green is too nice.
When PSA finally makes the Mk12 Mod 0 in black I will most certainly order one.
I feel like I used to see Diamondback running cheap back in the day
Springfield Armory Saint should definitely rank here!!
LWRC IC DI
IC or DI??
Q Sugar Weasel is my go to AR.
Had a saint victor 556 for a few years now, never had any issues with it
One thing that needs to be talked about is how often you use your rifle.
I am not 100% certain. Surface level it does seem that way.
Goona go pick up an iwi this weekend would like to see a review on it 💯
Review is on the channel!
Love my complete BCM, but I also like my complete CMMG, Colt, and LMT.
If you plan on shooting suppressed look into PWS ( primary weapons system ). They are fantastic long stroke piston ar’s made in Idaho.
I'm buying a gen 3 M&P next week, excited!
You're gonna love it I promise you!!!
Which criteria was used to call it best? What they are the best in?
Where is knights, lmt, lwrci, dd at least or geissele...
Mid tear. Ie. Not 3 g. It looks like a grand to 15 is their slot
PSA is awesome….. I have 5 of their products and they just run and run and run.
I have some high end AR's and some budget AR's and my 2 budget guns are a Anderson and a Aero M5 with a Enhanced upper and the finish on them 2 are flawless perfect better then the more expensive ones and they both run good have done some upgrades tho.
Black Friday Geissele Super Duty FTW.
Great video!!!!
I Built Mine for about $800 best money, I spent plus I get to choose what I put in it
For my ars I like my S&W m&p, LWRC, Knights Armament
Expensive, yes. The H&K MR556 is the AR king.
The Zion is a great value balance
I didn't know BCM made a $1300 rifle. Mine was 2k and it broke my heart because I'm poor. And poorer after setting it up. BCM is worth it. Especially for 1300
Dont sleep on CMMG!
Have you reviewed the Ruger 556 mpr with the 18" barrel?
I love my zion 15 sounds good with a flow556k with no issues
Honerable mentions : FM15 GEN1 & GEN2, RF15, MP sport3 and YHM15
Tbh I have been wanting to try the YHM but kinda have stayed away from their rifles because I feel like they more of a suppressor company. Maybe it’s time for a change!
@ElliottDelp My very 1st ar lower yhm. 👍🏿👍🏿 still soild
