Mine was a Mk 7 Fiesta and though it did not look the same as the arms looked different and there was something in front of it which made it really difficult to get to, the problem was exactly the same and once I had the grey button pushed into the white arm, we had temperature control again rather than just cold air. Thank you for the video otherwise I would never have resolved it myself.
excellent. having problem getting sound when connecting music from my ph. displays the songs name. I get sound through the radio. wont recognize the SD card. thanks from Canada!!
So, although as per below I attached the arms together, first time out and the arms have come apart again resulting in cold air all the time. Any advice on how to resolve that? @driveway mechanic
Thanks for video mate.Same problem as my fiesta 12 plate Titanium diesel.Tried it and it started blowing hot air again but everytime i switch engine off and start car again its back to blowing cold air.I repeat the steps and get warm air again but again everytime i turn engine off and start car again its just blowing cold.Do i need to do this every single time?.Thanks
I do have the same problem, but not with the heater. It's the button for the air direction. Any idea? At first the direction button was very stiff and now it doesn't do anything. So now I do get air on my feet, front window and the air vents....
Hello, I have a problem with the PTC heater in my fiesta 1.0 EB 2015. The PTC draws 80 amps when the engine starts and drops to 40 amps after about 1 minute, but the blowing air is still cold until the engine liquid loop reaches a some temperature. I already checked this flap and it works in my car, the air changes temperature after warming up. Also i getting code "B10EA - ptc heater" in IPC module
I’ve never come across a PTC heater before. Are you in a very cold country. Are you sure your battery is strong enough and your alternator is giving enough charge?
@@pdunleavy1982 PTC works only when engine is cold and running. Battery is OE and alternator is 150 amps. The condition of the battery should not be affected after starting the engine, because then the current is supplied by the alternator. I measure the currents directly on PTC wires with clamp multimeter. This car on your video also have PTC, in 0:35 the thick, black wire connected to the car body with bolt in almost center of the frame are negative (-) from PTC and this white (with orange stipe) wire under yellow cap next to black wire are positive (+) for PTC
HELLO SIR, THANK YOU FOR YOUR VIDEO I THINK IT WILL HELP WITH MY PROBLEM , WICH IS THAT I HAVE NO FLOW OF AIR TO MY WINDSHIELD AND I CAN NOT DEFROST IT AND CAN NOT DEFOG IT . EVREWERE ELSE I HAVE AIRFLOW BUT NO DIRECTED THOWRDS THE WINDSHIELD. MAYBE YOU CAN TELL ME A SPECIFIC WAY TO FIX IT. THANK YOU
Hy, I did managed to fix it. You have to look at the drivers side, near the pedals you have to open a panel on the gear box side and you have to look under the dashboard in the direction of the climate sistem. There is a little motor that operates a metallic lever. You should look there it's a plastic black little level that connects the motor and the metallic lever. You can easily take it out and fix it or change it, you can find the parts on the internet using the motor serial number!
Weird how they did it in different ways on the same car. On mine the electric actuator is mounted directly on the flap door behind the panel, really bothersome to access the screws and electric connector. Tried to take the plastic trim off to gain access but that sent me down a rabbit hole of having to dismantle half of the dashboard. I officially hate Ford now for designing these cars fuelled by hate for the people who end up having to repair them.

LOVE THE VIDS KEEP IT UP
I have a 2010 fiesta model and it’s doing the exact same thing. No hot air only cold. Going to give this a try though. 😊
Let me know if it works.
Did this work for you???
@@Ploploxit turned out to be the filter (located in same place) that needed replacing and now my heating works well
@@MichelleClare thanks for getting back I'll take a look at both! Cold drives aren't fun!!
@@MichelleClare changing the pollen filter makes a massive difference and most people don’t do it.
OK same problem but mine is making a loud knocking noise when the heating is turned on. I will have a go at this hopefully it's the problem thanks

Same issue on 08 plate thought they’d fix it by 15 lol

Try see if there’s some kind of clip you can fit to keep them together. Or maybe a little zip tie.
The blend door actuator for my AC is making a clicking noise on the drivers side (MK7 fiesta). What’s the easiest way to get to it to replace it?
I’m not sure without looking at the car.

I have the same issue. How did you fix it? Thanks
I have the same problem but with the centre one it don’t turn and it’s stiff
I've a similar issue but with the large directional dial in the middle how can I access that I can't get at it from either side panels
I’m not sure. I’m sure you can get to it somehow but I can’t remember.
Brilliant
So I did this but the clip fell off completely and now I can’t get it back on, and was so awkward to get too burned my head on the light as well 😭😭

Chase the cable and see where it goes. Probably the same thing on the other side.

i'm getting only hot air, no matter where i scroll the dial, do you think this could be the solution for my fiesta 2005
There’s a good chance it’s the same problem. Just stuck the other way
Can this also happen to a MK8 Fiesta?
Cause my heater doesn't work at all.
Only blows air or cold air with a/c.
Yeah, I think it’s the same heating system in the mk8
@@pdunleavy1982 I have opened both sides and could not find that same object.
@@Kwarkiemodo it must be different then. I thought it might be the same.
Just fixed the same issue in an older Fiesta, Ford still using a crappy mechanism as it's cheap.
