Brilliant times never to be forgotten
Loved the vic .... makes me remember my childhood watching this
I was the assistant groundsman back then. Brilliant memories of that ground the atmosphere was electric. I wish we could turn back the clock. I'll never forget being on the pitch at half time and getting abuse off the away fans especially if we were winning, I would just look up with a big grin on my face.... The abuse got worse 🤣 Happy days!
Loved the Vic, i was a " Boothen Ender " for many many years
Yeah so was I atmosphere intense bet 365 as nothing on the vic😢RIP
Used to drink in the commercial inn London road..then to the talbot after the match.great great times.
Rip the vic
Great games seeing the potters there atmosphere was astronomical I cried when we left that ground a proper family ground RIP VICKIE ❤
the walk down penkhull bank with the floodlights in the distance
Home 🔴⚪️
Should never have left, looks such a nice ground
home sweet home
Vic, Baseball, Dell, Maine Rd all stadiums that will never be replaced. At the Vic that stand that looked like a school front was unique and the noise they made when they had both ends can't be explained. Could these grounds not be rebuilt? Nothing is impossible.
A lot of older grounds were no longer fit for purpose... This doesn't seem to have been the case here.
It's a shame the Potters had to leave such great ground. It still looks good enough, but the The Potters are still going and that's the important thing. Seeing Eastham,Banks and so many great Players was special.🏐
I cried
Football was never the same again
Should of been a listed building absolute crime they knocked it down
Loved the Boothen End good old days init rkid
Black & White other side of the city me. Can honestly say though. Nowhere was as frightening & exhilarating in equal measures than the Vic, followed Vale all over the country. Anfield, Old Trafford, Main Rd, Molineux etc etc. Hands down the best atmosphere ever was Stoke Vs Vale 1989. Kop end got nothing on the Boothen.
Went with City boxing day 1988 over 12,000 blues that day a great Atmosphere lost 3-1 MCFC
Those were the days.
