- I have had a lot of recommendations telling me to look at the prologue for Battle Fleet 2... I figure why do that when I can play it myself!!! For those of you just looking for the cut scenes look to the time stamps!
Today is my first time ever playing BFGA 2! Recently picked it up when it was on sale but did not get around to trying it out until today! THE GAMEPLAY IS AWESOME. Im a big fan of space RTS and the Ship design, combat, and voice lines all work together amazingly, The soundtrack is also fantastic and makes you want to kill some heretics!
The cut scenes which were mainly what you guys wanted me to see were awesome to see! And the fact that a Necron is involved is very interesting! Also to see what actually went down outside of Cadia before its fall was sweet to see. The scale of the ships and the Blackstone itself really put a lot of things into perspective!
As always big thank you to our members!

OH LETS FUCKING GOO! BFGA2 is a Banger!
Oh it felt awesome! I love How the movement works and I could see myself loving this game once I get better at it!
Hope you enjoy the video!
Bro gets told to watch the prologue cutscene and he plays the whole game D: Thats dedication to the emperor
(btw I fixed my username, yayyyy)
20:35 Space Wolf saw a blackstone fortress and really did the "Drive me closer, I want to hit it with my sword" meme
21:38 Something (someone) does not belong there. Need to supress the urge to make an among us joke
48:12 yep, they got into melee range of a space wolf battle barge. Im pretty sure there was a whole Space Wolf company on bord that said "well, our ship is gone. Seems like its boarding time."
Remember the astartes animation? If a space marine ship shoots torpedos at you that dont explode, you are being hit by FUN
53:13 I am a Warhammer casual, but im pretty sure thats Trazyn the Infinite
56:00 if i remember correctly the blackstone fortresses are ancient relics from the war in heaven and there are only a handful known in the entire galaxy. The vengeful spirit is a gloriana class battleship and is a relic from the horus heresy, im pretty sure the imperium cant build new ones, so all existing are the last ones left.
I’ve never seen a Battlefleet gothic playthrough before, so I will be committed to watching this series
Fun fact, the whole intro/tutorial is basically what happened during the first part of the game, Phalanx was the endgame toy back in BFGA 1, and here you get to play it from the start, they really upscaled things. You have to go for imperial campaign, and congrats on learning one of the two most important tactics in game, ramming, the other one is torpedos (for Navis Imperialis that is).

Big shout out to our members, I appreciate you guys as always! Let me know what you guys think of this gameplay video and if you would want to see more on stream!
Ill see you guys in the next one!
Trazzyn the Infinite (the necron) is one of the most beloved characters in the entire franchise, everyone loves this guy and his antics
Gothic Armada absolute underrated gem of a game. Not only is it the only 40k Game that has all Factions in it, without DLC... its also the only 40k Game that is telling part of the bigger 40k Story instead of "save this planet no one really cares about" wich you have most of the time.
and i just love me those gothic Imperium Ships. Coolest Space Ships i have seen in all of fiction so far.
Nice. I just picked that game up about 3 months ago myself, it's very fun even though there's no Campaign for da Orkz
Yeah It would be sweet if there was but I just am loving that ship combat! also it looks fantastic!
Hope you enjoy the video :)
@@TheRealCenturionyou're in luck. The modding community has you covered. The skallagrim mod I believe it's called completely overhauls basically every aspect of the game, adding dozens of new ships for every faction, colossal battleships pulled straight from the lore, an entire ork campaign, a tau campaign, and lots more.
I would recommend playing the regular game first though to familiarize yourself with the game more though. The prologue is good but there is much to learn still.
The Imperium campaign is probably the most straightforward and gives you a lot of variety.
Plus, it's probably the closest to canon.
52:11 i love that they have titans for scale. looks like Reavers, which are probably in the realm of 25 to 30m tall, at least, so you can guess how tall the pylons are.
also followed by one of many great scenes in these cinematics, of *Cawl* of all things, calling someone else an abomination.
iirc in one of the books there was an exchange between a necron and tech-priest, might've actually been these two (the necron is Trazyn, as someone already pointed out), of the necron saying something along the lines of "i was forced to give up my flesh in chains, i hear your kind does it willingly."
also this gives a really good starting point of the final battle of Cadia (Secundus), though its only a fraction of everything that happened.
58:12 i believe i read that in the book it was actually the Vengeful Spirit that pushed the Blackstone Fortress towards Cadia. also the ships obviously wouldnt need to right that thing all the way to the surface, they just need to give it a lil shove in the right direction. this is essentially what orks are doing too, except they use meteorites that they strap rockets to.
also you earlier thought its another blackstone fortress: there were actually 3 in existence. a single one has the power to destroy a planet, but the 3 of them could link up to even destroy stars, iirc. thats one of the reasons people make fun of Abaddon for chucking it at cadia, because its complete destruction ensured that this far more threatening power could never be used again. (oh, also as a sidenote: blackstone = necron tech. so whenever you hear it, its artifacts left by necrons)
i think the other campaigns dont really have big cinematics, but maybe someone else knows more. the ingame dialog is very good though, but i think its stories arent really canon, as i believe you [spoilers]
-eventually destroy even the Terminus Est and the Vengeful Spirit-
[/spoilers]
though maybe that is canon, but i feel like i would've heard of that at some point.
you started playing bfga2 without at least watching bfga1 cutscenes? absolute heresy!
Do you play dawn of war games, i love playing as the Tau
@bolojohnson711 i have not played them and dont own any yet! I reacted to the trailers and I love COH so id love to play them at some point!
Hope you enjoyed the video :)
@TheRealCenturion if you like i recommend an audio series called Star Wars vs Warhammer 40k for you to react it's really good it's about the massive fleet of the imperium of man end up entering and invading the Star Wars universe and it was epic that we get to see the respective on both sides
@TheRealCenturion I also recommend a channel of a TH-camr called heretical hatter that's also doing his series called the Damocles Gulf crusade rewrite where he would write and draw about new different species that would join the Tau empire and set up a big war against the imperium
@TheRealCenturion I recommend getting into the gears of wars lore there's a channel called king abz if you like
Got some 200 hours on this game and first BFGA a 100 hours. The only critiques I have is that the gameplay might become repetitive pretty quickly, AI is very predictable and Auto resolve/battle is useless which forces you to play every battle yourself.
You laughed too much here, missed couple interesting lines of actual cinematic 21:00
Hell yeah
