How many different versions of the book of Jubilees is there? Is the book of Jubilees the same as Yasher or Jasher? Thanks for any help with these questions ⁉️
I am reading the book of Jubilees presently and it is awesome. It recounts the story of Genesis just as is in Genesis. Anything "extra- Biblical" is not outside of what God would say or do. One thing that interested me was the layout of the Jubilees contrasted with what the Book of Genesis recounts. You can get a better idea of when the flood happened and when Adam and Eve had their sons. There are several places in the timeline where the amount of years between each patriarch being born and the next is exactly as in Genesis, and others, always those which claim over hundred years between the two births, are different. Yet Jubilees, as a verified Biblical Jubilee timeline, seems more accurate. Another point is the insisitance of purity. All men who fornicated were stoned to death,a nd all women who fornicated were bruned aat the stake. A man was discouraged from marrying outside the Jewsih tribe and a woman was not allowed to do so at all. The book is well worth reading and there is no wrong doctrine I could percieve.
Thank You, Sean, for this detailed report backing up your extensive counter to Brother Adam/POTV rejecting Jubilees!!!
