I put it on the windscreen so can't answer from direct experience. However it sticks to the windscreen really - I mean REALLY - well and the disc looks to be very good quality with an almost glass-smooth finish, so I expect it will work well.

It has a really good suction cup. This either goes onto the windscreen glass OR you can use the sticky disc it comes with to attach it to your dashboard somewhere - they really have thought of everything!
