    In this episode we travel for the first time to Ponte de Oura, Mozambique with our trusty Conqueror Compact Platinum 2 - what an impressive off-road trailer. We drive through the beautiful country that is Swaziland, stop over at Mabuda Farm, and continue the following day into Mozambique, where we camp at Gala Gala Eco Estate for 6 days. Good times, and what a fantastic place.
    Here is our trip summary of this adventure, and hope it helps get you out there, and adventure new places. Adventure is always around the next corner, go and enjoy it.
    Stay tuned for PART 2, where we head for Ngwenya Lodge, and go "wild" in the Kruger National Park, and resume camping at Jackal Berry Lodge in Marloth Park. What a fantastic privilege to do this one with my tribe.
    Hope you enjoyed the episode, please share the link - let's grow the community.
    Have your say, leave a comment, and please subscribe. Looking forward to taking you with us on our next adventure.

    Thank you so much for this amazing Adventure review. I'm from Mozambique, and I'm starting to do 4x4 adventures. This video just inspired me to start saving money and get a Conqueror Compact Platinum 2. Instead of carrying always a normal utility trailer.

    Beautiful episode, Ponta D'Ouro is the place wher I learnt to snorkel & scuba, nearly 50 years ago. It was a LOT more rustical than what I see in your video. The King Prawns were magic, the size of bananas! Lovely to see the family as part of the experience. Thanks for sharing, cheers boet!

    Great video well done, take your own scale when shopping for seafood in Moz they have a tendency to jippo the scale to read in pounds and not kg. Let then weigh with their scale then check with your own before paying. You also need to haggle but also be reasonable they also have to make a living.

    • @4x4ventures_southafrica
      @4x4ventures_southafrica  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you Chris. To be honest there was two moments where I thought we might be in trouble. One stop was military, with no officials present, just a chap with AK walked out of the bush, and another was an official police stop. Both times I presume they saw or recognized my drivemoz sticker and ushered me through. Quite nerve racking the whole trip, had to trust both T4A and google maps to get me there, and all good. Was on edge in Maputo, as some of the toll gates take cards on the way to Ponte de Oura, but Maputo had to pay cash and never had. Would I do it again alone. No. Better to move in convoy IMO. Thanks for the comment

    what does the yellow triangle sticker do?

  • @mtamerri
    @mtamerri 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi, are the stickers compulsory? What’s the reason for having them?

    • @4x4ventures_southafrica
      @4x4ventures_southafrica  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, the drive Moz stickers aren’t compulsory, but there is an understanding that you are part of a larger community looking out for you if it goes wrong out there. So officials will tend to withdraw. The towing stickers etc are completely compulsory, and if caught without them you can face on the spot fines

      Sorry to hear. Will see what I can do from my end. Also, please try and remember that creating this content has massive cost implications from the creators pocket. The only way we can generate income is from youtube ads, and, it is a very very far cry from anything acceptable. I earn $37 a month from the ads they run, it is a difficult place to be, unless I start asking subscribers for donations. What do you think? Would you support me via donations of some sort?

      Thanks for sharing and your unpleasant directness is running thin. Swaziland will always be there, but as it was a family trip paid and booked for by my better half, it was exactly what we had hoped for. A magic trip and adventure shared with my tribe. Maybe a change in your approach? Not really into know it alls and this is how you come across.
