Yo, I got to 10 years, TEN YEARS my dawg!!! On one hand, it doesn't feel like a long time but when I pause and reflect, I realise just how much I've gone through and what it has taken to build my marriage to what it is now. It's upon these reflections that I soon came to understand why most men are tooooooo afraid to commit! Because as beautiful as marriage is, THIS THING WILL CHALLENGE THE KIND OF MAN YOU ARE, like for real, for real!!!!
You think you can love, you can protect, provide, LEAD, yoh hahaha YOU THINK YOU CAN LEAD, get married, you will be challenged to put these theories/ thoughts into action with real humans who are giving you real-time feedback and very intimately so, you are completely exposed. Though in all honestly this exposure is not to embarrass you, especially when you KNOW that your wife truly loves you and wants the best for you, this exposure is to bring out the giant in you, the greatness in you. It's cheesy to say, but gold is refined in fire, and that fire is your marriage, but fire cooks as well, fire gives warms and fire gives life, SOOOOO ITS NOT ALWAYS HARD!!!

There’s often a notion in popular culture that implies marriage is not an achievement or that we should feel bad about seeing marriage as an achievement. I believe that while getting married might not be an achievement in and of itself, but staying married, staying committed, choosing your partner every day, and staying on course is truly significant and praiseworthy.
Regardless of the length, the commitment to the marriage vow is an achievement. If a marriage doesn’t work out, it’s often seen as a failure. So, why can’t we celebrate it as a success when it does work out? Even if it’s not perfect, the fact that it’s functional and the commitment is upheld should be recognized as a success in my opinion.

1:01:49 Live at your own pace!! Shu sometimes the nice "couple goals" we see online do more harm than good for how we think and choices we make. Not saying we shouldn't be inspired by others or aspire for more but that pace thing is so important to keep in mind

This is much needed content. The part about not paying school fees really made me laugh but on a serious note it’s so good to see young men get the disciple that is much needed in the Church. I love that you admit that there is responsibility on men to do the right thing but also encouraging people that it is doable. May God continue to deepening the IMPACT and not just expanding reach. loving the truths here. I would add, the mundane shows real love, to keep at it when it isn't necessarily exciting. There is a depth to that kind of love is something that those lost in the shallows of life cannot possibly fathom. That doesn't mean marriage becomes or is boring, but loving each other and building your love in the less exciting moments is something incredibly real!

We should really re-think the idea of a wedding ceremony if it prevents people from being married. It was R 75 I dont know now ko Home Affairs,
you are right, just did a quick Google and it’s free to have the ceremony and R75 for the certificate. to each his own but we know too many young couples wishing to start their lives as married but are prevented because of the pressure of a big event, let alone Lobola. It’s a touchy subject for sure cause of all the dynamics involved.
