I watched and it works great. I would add a few steps to the whole process (that's what I did with my image). I separated the subject from the background and placed a few layers of the snow behind the subject, as in reality the snow appears in front and behind the subject. I also played around with opacity of some of the snow layers and it also did wonders.

When i'm at the filter/distort the option of distort is greyed out and i can't do this step. :( What have i done wrong?

Same thing here… as soon as I transform the layer „snow 2“ the distort->wave option is not available anymore. Any ideas why this happens?

Found the issue on my site … using a German ps version and waves translates to „Wellen“ but also to „Schwingungen“ which is the correct option
