- Welcome all to WTT. This is the fourth video we are posting under the "Worth The Trek (WTT)" Channel. I hope you will like it. We will keep on striving to show you the less (& sometimes rarely) explored locations in Meghalaya, just like the one in this first episode.
Today we explore one more amazing waterfall in the Sohkymphor in East Jaintia Hills. We reached the area mid day and hiked to Umkranian Falls in the Umiurem river. This river like the Waikhyrwi also drains eastwards & joins the Kopili river, a major tributary of the Brahmaputra river. We moved on ahead to cover other waterfalls. Half way I slipped fell down & injured my knee. I could reach only one more waterfall. Gavin & Nebel went ahead but were not so lucky as it was getting dark. It took us one and a half hours to reach the car walking in pitch darkness & passing through Miner's settlements. And most of them were drunk. We were slightly afraid for a while. Anyway this is one gorgeous Waterfall. This was definitely Worth The Trek (WTT).
