@@motorinc Ask anyone above 40yrs who is not as enthusiastic as us in automobiles, their aspirational sedan is a Honda city. (If he/she likes SUV then it's the Scorpio classic.) Just like that same person will say if I buy an aspirational bike I'll buy a RE bullet. And there the Honda city is an all rounder. You get fun, speed, family friendly, space, large boot space, good fuel efficiency, safety, reliability, service is affordable and a sophisticated look as a cherry on top. Way practical car.
Proud owners of City 4th gen VX Petrol Manual. You can depend on it anyday anytime, damn reliable since 6 years, and it's still feeling like we've bought it yesterday even after 50K on the odo. Rear seat comfort and space is just 2 segments above, handling is also good, and that VTEC Beast is a story for another day.. There's just lots to love about it ❤ The only issue is the stiff rear suspension.. Other than that, no major complaints...
Yes ,my Honda WR-V running smoothly , reliable even after 2,30,000 kms on odo, with some niggles inside cabin like Rear view mirror vibrates like crazy , that shitty honda digipad 1.0 .
Have 5 of these in my joint family. Never disappointed us. I believe the car saved my life by sacrificing its chassis once (got rear ended by a pickup at 80,was on thr backseat). Thankfully some good body shop workers easily mended that chassis
As a City CVT owner, city avg 9-12kmpl and its throttle is good in city driving but that acceleration is not as responsive because of CVT rubber band effect. The car is built to last and everything in it makes sense, if anyone is planning to buy I would recommend to just get the tyres swapped with 205/55 R16 the moment you buy it, and a good set of hella horns. Highway mileage is 18-20 kmpl and once you are in the rev range the acceleration is quite good. Service is not expensive either.
My fav pick would be any variant of the city petrol manual without a sunroof. The sleek shifting manual and light clutch is meant to be experienced! i-vtec is meant to be paired with a manual way more than a CVT.......
SEDANS ARE FIRST LOVE WHICH WE NEVER FORGET............TODAY I HAVE CITY....... AND NEXT CAR WILL AGAIN HONDA CITY❤❤❤.......... INDIANS PLS RESPECT GOOD CARS...... NEVER LET THEM GO......
City is the best car in its class, or may be one class above it.. practical, no nonsense car, realised it after owning and driving it for more than 20000 KMs CVT is very good as well, you will never feel lack of power or the rubber band effect even while overtaking vehicles at any decent speeds
They should release City RS with 1 litre turbo petrol here for enthusiasts who are more performance oriented, not everybody is only concerned about mileage and comfort
I’m re-learning driving in a Honda City (not the latest v) at Driving school. And I find the clutch to have a long travel. My concerns are bite point and depth while changing gears. Does it reduce comfort of driving in city traffic compared to the more effortless and lesser travel-needing Verna? Also how is the clutch of Virtus and XUV 3XO for occasional heavy city traffic and occasional long drives outside? If someone can shed some light on. Thank you!
Please keep in mind that the City that you are driving would have experienced high wear and tear. Would recommend driving one at a showroom before comparing with anything else. All the best!
Except ground clearance, All points of compromise like space(in boot space and cabin space), maintenance cost, milage, lower stability compare to Sedan..., SUV are better for hilly area or with location with poor road infrastructure. However it all upto personal choice. No ground clearance issues in new City.
City is like the RE bullet of cars.
Ek din bullet lunga.
Uske baad ek din city lunga
But the city is way more practical 😅
Interesting parallel @vbanner. Not one we hear often. Can we ask why do you think so?

If only it had better cabin insulation.
I also don't like the interior design that much.
Agreed… insulation needs to be better.

It’s a CVT!

CVT mileage in city is as same as Hector Petrol. 5-6kmpl 😐
Honda is not a good option... Because poor service network and High service cost 😂
