Honda didn't provide adjustible headrest on rear seats, but the fixed head rest do provide awesome comfort for the rear passengers, far better than virtus/slavia. In fact, sitting 3 on the rear seats of City is more comfortable than virtus/slavia.
Booked VW Virtus Topline AT a week ago, reasons over City - 1. Build / weight in Doors, Hood is significantly better than city. 2. AT in virtus masks the Turbo Lag which is there in Manual. 3. Ground Clearance, 100% agree with Faisal, Ride quality over bad patches is amazing. 4. Suspension & Driving Dynamics. Virtus is definitely much more composed at higher speeds, steering is tad bit on softer side than one would have preferred, though city's steering is even softer. There is more frequent thud sound from City's suspension in sharp potholes. 5. Infotainment - Much better, slick, with Wireless AA and carplay (more useful than one would think). *Bonus - Also has some "features" like ventilated seats and wireless charging. The ZX city doesn't gains much updates from base (V MT is really worth every penny tbh). Advantages of City over Virtus - 1. Engine. Without question - It is a better engine in terms of refinement, long term reliability, Fun! (7k+ rpms) and no AC issues. 2. Seats and interior Feel - The seats in City, especially the front driver and passenger seats are very comfortable and the cabin does feels roomier (perhaps because of beige interior?). Though not a fan of the way infotainment is integrated in the Dash, Virtus executes that bit better. 3. No worries once you drive it out of showroom. As Faisal said, No EPC errors, no random rattles (Lots of people faced this in Kushaq). In virtus, you are left at VWs mercy. As Faisal said, both products have their set of compromises. My requirements were - 1. AT - Point Virtus. 2. Highway speeds stability (no bouncing) - Point Virtus. 3. Ground Clearance (good to have) - Point Virtus 4. Long term reliability (kept last car, i20, for 11 years) - Point City Conclusion - Ended up booking Virtus because - 1. 5th gen city, for me, didn't live up to the hype and I do feel older generations of city are more deserving of that excitement than the current one. 2. Not going to rev the engine like the maniac always or even on overtakes (where city shines, though the ivtec is more thirsty which caused Honda to give skinnier tyres to city, ended up affecting it's braking as well). Also, if I revved to 7k for overtakes, my dad will kill me. 3. Vw's 1.0L TSI engine is actually very good and is in no way a compromise. It doesn't has vibrations like other 3 cylinder engines. Has really good mid range pulls for highway speed overtakes. Agree with faisal about the issues with long clutch travel and initial turbo lag, which is very well covered if you go for AT. 4. Left at VWs mercy for quality control, EPC errors, AC, etc. therefore getting extended warranty. Hoping to get delivery of my Virtus before they shrink the infotainment. The fear is real. That being said, if my requirement would have been Manual instead of AT, the choice would have been much more difficult for me since I would love to own a VTEC car, the sound of it at Higher RPMs is addictive.
City VX CVT will save you close to 2L over Virtus 1L Topline AT.. City aces on reliability, engine grunt, interior fit and finish, mileage, extended warranties upto 10yrs and resale value! Virtus offers just a bit more better suspension, ride & handling, road noise insulation and oodles of snob feel! Cost cutting is more evident on new VW/Skoda with low grades plastics in interiors, non-alloy spare wheels and lesser remote key features! Choose wisely
I am a Service Engineer in Honda and i can tell you for a fact that cost cutting is 10x more when you compare old and new city and less evident when you compare vento and Virtus. It also boils down to the shear technology used in VW the engine and it is far more lively and has peak torque at 1800rpm which will be used always ans City has peak torque at 4400 rpm which is used 20% of the time. I can Jeep in going on this for a long time and I have done my part of analysis and booked Virtus over City Even though I would get good discount on city

Two weeks ago, I bought Honda City VMT which is base model and it is my first car, in fact the first car in my family. I actually booked Breeza top model thinking the upgrade would be similar to Baleno and the price increment would also be in that range. I was disappointed with the price, plus the waiting time irked me. What I did after that is I took test drives of a lot of cars in different segments and finalised City. Great safety(5 star in asean ncap, 4 airbags in base model), best reliability, smooth engine, great build quality and material considering price, it speaks premium, and the space and openness you feel made me do it. Features and all are not really necessary for me although when you are giving a touch screen and CarPlay, just provide wireless connectivity as well. Just ask customers if the want Honda connect or Wireless CarPlay, they would prefer wireless CarPlay any day. Coming onto Virtus, although I agree with you that the sheer handling of Virtus is far better because I said the same thing within 10 seconds, but the point you made about music system is I think is incorrect. Hey Faisal, long time fan. A thing that I recently found out about non-adjustable head rests for rear passengers especially in cars like city, is that its there for safety purpose. They are designed so that the rear passengers don't get whiplash injury, allowing city to get a better overall safety rating. So I believe you should also mention that when talking about them.
@@gowherulislam5480 maybe because in India most owners sit in the backseat. And Indians are very safety conscious so Honda does this in Indian products to have that tiny edge. But why don't they mention this. Never heard any auto reviews mention this point.
Adjustable or not, that's the purpose of head rests. Adjustable ones allow us to raise or lower them according to our height. Fixed ones are just cost cutting
Thanks faisal khan for the awesome comparison review. Please do more such comparison reviews. My parents have a 5th gen honda city CVT as it is a comfortable reliable car, while me being an enthusiast has booked a virtus GT.

The city shows the problem with Honda. It’s like Kodak and Nokia when they failed to realise the importance of DSLRs and Touchscreen phones and had to go bankrupt. Same is the case with Honda. You can’t sell a car today just in the name of reliability. Even VWs are pretty reliable and depends on how you maintain the car. But the VW is light years ahead of the Honda in terms of features specs and build quality. Honda should take this into notice or else it may soon have to take the Ford way.
But city has better connected car tech, ac, seats comfort and interior etc. Is bettter in city. Virtus has ventilated seats but thats only for higher trims but in terms of lower models, the city is much better, not to mention no piano black in the city
@@shivamarya5225 the seats are overly soft and not the most suitable for highway runs. Infotainment system looks and feels dated and doesn’t have wireless CarPlay and android auto as well. The VW gets LED headlamps from the base variant itself but the city gets it only in the top. And, that CVT transmission absolutely spoils the fun of driving that vtec motor.

The 4th gen Honda City had a lot of minor glitches which added up, making it the weakest of the last 3 gens. 3rd gen had solid build but lacked ground clearance and had iffy suspension. 4th gen had the ground clearance but had too many cost-cutting bits and un-Honda-like issues like rain seepage, premature rusting, etc. 5th gen is actually the better City in terms of size, features, clearance and the most refined i-Vtec engine ever. They listened to customer feedback and made a lot of changes, like making AC controls non-touch again. But the 5th gen needs better tyres, better head-unit, better cameras and better insulation. However, all these can be done aftermarket, as long as the engine-gearbox is awesome, and that is why Honda is one of the most mod-friendly cars out there.

Drive continuously for 100 kms in any VW/Skoda, and you're sure to feel fatigued, requiring you to stop and take a break. In a Honda City, you won't feel fatigued even after a 200 km drive without any stops. The pressure exerted by a Honda City on the driver/passengers is the lowest possible, whereas VW/Skoda fare very poorly in this regard. The car which allows for maximum productivity of drivers/passengers during journey, is without a doubt the Honda City.
Both are good but as faisal bro said here [6:38] that virtus has better design in terms of appealing and attractiveness, looks really sporty i love it 😆 I'd definitely go with that virtus if i had to choose one, I like interior of the city than the virtus. Thx for the comparison video ✌🏿👍
I test drove City and Virtus, and City gave a more confident driving experience than Virtus. It feels a richer, more elegant car when inside. Some bells and whistles are better in Virtus. I especially liked the auto stop-start feature in Virtus which automatically stops engine when you stop at signals and starts again as soon as you lift foot from the brake. It’s just magical. But looking at the new buyer complaints of the VW/Skoda owners, these cars feel like 15-20 lakh gamble. City is just better in this regard. The biggest miss in City for me was 360° camera (rear display in infotainment system) while driving. I would have also loved wireless Carplay. City also doesn’t have the new safety features added to City Hybrid. Without features like these, City felt an old car. But for those who like to own for life and want a drama-free ownership experience, I think City has no match. What I would have really loved for my requirements is a Honda compact SUV (which is not WRV) with City-like engine, reliability, and all intelligent features of City Hybrid.
Good news for us, Honda might be coming up with an SUV in that City price point which competes with creta and all, waiting for it eagerly, might be called as Z-RV, or something

And the CVT gearbox of HONDA is for those people who want comfort over madness and CVT is the most Trusted gearbox across the automatic gearbox segment for such light weight Vehicles nd There is no doubt why many Doctors prefer Honda City Over any other cars. CVT is the only gearbox which provides more Milage than Mannual due to its effortless gear change , Yea I agree that there are some Rubber band effect while shifting aggressively but the Paddle shifters And the extra Sports mode does the job. And if you are are person who prioritise comfort and Softer driven car then Honda City is the Best In this segment. *Bonus - Also has some "features" like ventilated seats and wireless charging. The ZX city doesn't gains much updates from base (V MT is really worth every penny tbh).
Advantages of City over Virtus -
My requirements were -
1. AT - Point Virtus.
2. Highway speeds stability (no bouncing) - Point Virtus.
3. Ground Clearance (good to have) - Point Virtus
4. Long term reliability (kept last car, i20, for 11 years) - Point City
Conclusion -
Ended up booking Virtus because -
1. 5th gen city, for me, didn't live up to the hype and I do feel older generations of city are more deserving of that excitement than the current one.
Well analysed

Deep understanding bro👏..can you please help me with choosing the right car!

Honda City 5th gen with manual transmission is on par with VW'S 1.5 TSI when it comes to performance and acceleration, how about that? 😅
One thing is clear from this video, Virtus/Slavia is shit and clearly overpriced. They don't even have the characteristic VW build quality.
Now that the 2023 facelift City is out with ADAS, there's absolutely no reason to go for the Virtus/Slavia for a sane person.

I am a big fan of polo which unfortunately got discontinued but we have vitus instead and after this video I don't have second thoughts on City manual.
Which car did you buy
Virtus(top model) has better music system, in terms of audio performance as well.

Ha ha cost cutting
But y rear headrests r given in other products of Honda worldwide

@fasbeam u are completely forgetting the 1.5 CRDI Diesel in the Verna which is one hell of an engine. And diesel is diesel is a diesel.better infotainment system and peace of mind with best service in Hyundai Verna and looks good to
The city shows the problem with Honda.
True!
The same goes for Toyota too. They've fitted Urban Cruiser engine into Hyrider.
only Indians think about fake useless features...

For Automatic I feel VW Virtus better than City!
Yep the cvt is sooo bad
Agree
i think, the 4th honda city looks better than both of these two.
And then the old Monte carlo looks more elegant than the 4th gen city
Which of the two is better for professional looks in white color?

Heart for VW but brain move towards Honda
Drive continuously for 100 kms in any VW/Skoda, and you're sure to feel fatigued, requiring you to stop and take a break. In a Honda City, you won't feel fatigued even after a 200 km drive without any stops. The pressure exerted by a Honda City on the driver/passengers is the lowest possible, whereas VW/Skoda fare very poorly in this regard. The car which allows for maximum productivity of drivers/passengers during journey, is without a doubt the Honda City.

Hey Faisal, when it comes to driving experience do you prefer the 4th gen or the 5th gen?
5th doesn’t have as much rattling issues!

Honda City is the most Reliable And tested car for Sedan segment in India nd the engine is the most trusted and maintenance free in the segment....where as VW is now Providing 3 cylinder engine across the Variant and model after the emissions norms issues which feels Lack in power nd you need to accelerate aggressively all the time to overtake.
The Afte sales service , parts availability , cost of maintanence etc are almost half in Honda Comparing to VW. And The VTEC motor naturally aspirated 1.5 lit engine mannual Honda city Can touch 115 kmph just by using 2nd gear.
