One detail that I liked the most took place at the very beginning when Splinter was belly sliding. In the actual match, Splinter shines with his agility and evasive skill when up against Leo and Donnie. Keep in mind that I don't like or generally support everything about the segment. The way Donnie crushed Leo with Splinter was the only thing. Regardless of anything, I enjoyed it. Do you have any thoughts about it? I would discuss how things would have been different for a ROTTMNT AU story that features my OC taking place during this very segment in Lair Games.

When I first saw the grease fight scene I legit thought they were trying to catch a greasy pig but no it was splinter- and now I wish I could just go back to my pig thought.
My favourite thing about this episode is the fact that its the kind of shit id see people begging for in tumblr posts, writing about in fanfic, rambling about in comments. Its a concept that serves no purpose other than being FUN, and it IS. Its one of the most memorable episodes in the series despite lacking any big emotional moments or fights or villains. Its the just the dumbass family being the dumbass family. And at the same time it continues to establish important character traits on a deeper level, (mostly for Leo, who SHINES in the lair games on a character level because it is DESIGNED to highlight his biggest flaws AND his greatest strengths at the same time, for completely different reasons). Anyways, this episode is one of my favourites. Theres so much drama and its formatted in such a memorable and chaotic way, i could talk about it for HOURS.
I love how this is a win win for Leo cause if he wins he gets the glory if he loses he lose his terrible room and gets a chance to make fun of the person sleeping in his room that maybe after a week or two the brother who won return the trophy so they can get some sleep hooray for Leo no one would want to win and he gets all the glory

I love the family bond. In 03 and 2012 iterations everyone is always "down to business" because they were plot-heavy shows we never get moments with them just hanging out, enjoying each other. We don't get to know them outside the heat of battle, so this show actually makes me care about the characters. Splinter is even willing to get in on the act and play silly games with his sons, which as far as I know has NEVER happened before.
