Thanks Simon. It was a beautiful day and although I was very tired from the previous bike ride, I did enjoy it. Thanks for watching. Best wishes to all the Nomad Terra Crawlers.
I really like this video, since it brings back so many memories when I studied there back in 2018. I loved to go running from the University Quays all the way to Alresford Swing Bridge North. I've always found it one the most lovely places to go jogging, and I loved how in the summer, farmers would let out cows to wander around and graze the grass along the trail south of Wivenhoe. It's one of my fondest memories when I was there. I remember running my old route for the last time before returning home, and couldn't help but feel somewhat sad. Anyway, thanks for sharing!
I am glad that the video brought back some happy memories. I have run this path a few times, sometimes going further and circling back via Alresford. Recently, I ran and filmed the trail on the other side of the river starting at Rowhedge, circling back across the Middlewick Ranges and the river path back to Rowhedge. If you ever did this route, it might bring back some more memories for you. The video is called "Rowhedge: Rivers and Ranges" on my channel. Thank you for your comment I really do appreciate it. Best wishes for a happy and successful life and thanks again for watching.
Hi Janice. That was quite early on a Sunday morning. The path does get a bit busier later. I love the river at high tide, but that is when they discharge the effluent from the sewage works as well. Stinks and roundabouts I guess. Hope you are both well. X
Thanks Mihai. The tide was just right for that run and the weather was ideal. Thanks for watching and the comment, I hope you have a great day too my friend.
Some of that student accommodation looked a lot nicer than where I stopped during my time at university in Stafford 😄 At one point I was expecting you to say, "I remember when this was all fields..." 😁 A lovely run on a beautiful day, Peter. All the best mate 👍🏻🏃♂️
Loads of new student accommodation Mark. I think that area has been a port since Roman times, so even I don't remember the fields but I do remember the grotty old dock area. It looks a lot better now. Essex Uni is a bit of a concrete jungle, glad I went to London and Cambridge. Thanks for watching mate.
I love when I see a new video from you in my feed! I know I'll be treated to wonderful scenery, history and a calming experience! Thank you for this one Peter!
Hi Bradley. My last bike video has totally demotivated me from ever trying to ride across bumpy muddy trails again! It was so hard I was really tired for this river run, but the tide and weather were too good to miss. Hope you enjoy your mountain bike ride. Thanks for watching.
What a beautiful day along that river and nice to see some more Marine views on your channel. It similar to the Gannel. The Rowing boat reminded me too that i want feature the local Pilot Gigs in one of my videos too. Thank you Peter for sharing
Thanks Frazer. That was a lovely day. A rare combination of high tide and fine weather for filming. I was already tired there after the bike ride but glad I went. Take care.
Thanks friend. Glad you enjoyed the video. I am having a bit of a rest this week as I think I may have overdone it. I appreciate your watching and commenting. All the best.
You captured a beautiful day there on your run Peter. I’ve had a couple of runs last week where it felt like spring 🌼 That nice flat route would be perfect for me…I’m terrible with hills 😀
Thanks Rachel. After the bike ride a couple of days before, I was a bit tired for this one but the tide and weather were perfect. The wheels have come off a bit this week. A horrible hard Sunday run in wind and rain has left me feeling my age this week. I think I need a rest. Thanks for watching, keep up the good work training and filming.
Hi there. Thanks for the comment. I know that the trail starts in Castle Park but I didn't think it was that exciting until The Hythe. Also parking could be a problem near the park so I parked in Tesco car park at The Hythe and started by the bridge. The trails get much more wild past Wivenhoe and Alresford. If you are interested, look back to a couple of my earlier videos from this time last year where I ran from Wivenhoe along the river to Thorrington tide mill. I called the video "Glad Tidings" and the return journey was "Grave Stories". I hope you enjoy your run. All the best.
Very nice tranquil trail there Peter. Reminds me of the path we've got alongside the River Adur from Shoreham. Good to see the path hasn't got too marshy or churned up as well so it's very much still runnable! Thanks for sharing and have a good week 👍🌄
Thanks Ben. I was a bit tired running that after my earlier bike ride. This weekend just gone pushed me over the top with a wet, windy Sunday run. I am having a rest for a couple of days now. Really feel my age at the moment. Take care.
@@essextrails Certainly makes it harder when you're being battered by the elements! Rest days are crucial so hope you're feeling better after then and ready to go again.
What a beautiful running day. Wivenhoe is beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Paul. Sometimes you will just be treated to a poor old boy struggling round the run. Always good to hear from you. Thanks for watching friend.
Nice route once again Peter, good to hear some history of the area. Your last video motivated me to get out on a mountain bike! 💪

Thank you friend. I have visited your lively, friendly channel and I have subscribed. Best wishes from the UK.
Great video, I'm excited to run this really soon.
I think this trial can start earlier at castle park to make it 5 miles each way
