Honestly I thought that Heihachi was another stance character with an install, but to be honest, at least from what I saw in this set, there is not that much of spam of different stances and they play as a Mishima Character, and that's pretty cool
They also don't have a full grasp on the new version of this character yet.

Im trying to understand the design philosophy behind warrior instinct. Obviously from a balance standpoint, the goal is to have characters all adhere to a universal power budget. With that in mind, where is the budget being spent on heihachi's kit? Like is he inherently tuned to be slightly weaker outside of warrior instinct? If not, then where is the justification for his install mode coming from? A character becoming potentially the "strongest on the roster" for a round simply for using 3 heat engagers seems generous if that power gain is not compensated elsewhere.
Makes him a bit more predictible with his heat utilisation though. I guess what happened is that they realized he was a bit too weak, but didn't want to change anything, so they said "Fuck it, we ball" and balled all around the place.
Why does there need to be "justification" for his character gimmick? The same argument could made for literally everyone else in the cast

@@TheFightingGentleman what empovering tool does everyone has that grants them more stats beyond (and including) the third round? Just, because.
Here is a theoretic: we're near equal with that one guy, but i always win by a little, but starting after two rounds he just wins every round. Just beacuse this stat boost pushes him over the line. So you have a character that just becomes tougher when the match point is in question. So you will always have easier time at first two, and tougher at 3 and beyond, just because.
There is just something so off-putting about seeing Heihachi utilize 50/50 stance mix-ups. I don't like how they're homogenizing everyone's styles in Tekken 8.
Tekken 7 characters were homogenized too, but not until near the end of the game's life. I'm really hoping that season two sees more traditional character archetypes. Bamco has gotta be hearing people's complaints.
Yeah, I think it was there to replace F3/F2,3 into FF2, and then they decided to make it more accesible, the fact that you can acces the stance from F4, WS4,4 and from 1,2,2 is sooo unnecessary.
He Had a waved dash 50/50s I don’t see the issue. Most of the time the stances are used for combo not 50/50 mix ups

People hate stances but I like that there is a LITTLE consistency now. The constant laughing runs Hei users did back in T7 and other nonsense is at least toned down this way.
Now it is possible to react to stuff out of habit rather than getting hit with dumb nonsense character specific. It kinda balances the game despite being less ‘creative’ outwardly.

All his moves look the same in 8 so it's hard to tell what is what unless you play vs him a lot.

Although I don't agree with bringing Heihachi back in the game's canon, I am absolutely overjoyed that he's a playable character again. Few Tekken characters have the presence and charisma of the Iron Grandpa.

It's after tonight's maintenance which makes it Oct 1 for Japan, and late night almost not the 30th for everyone else unless you're on the West Coast. derp. Hei does some gray health with Warrior Instinct btw. 9:21 You can see FF2 giving grey health but then the wall combo deletes it(And only last of wall combo hit gives grey health), I think only certain moves like EWGF, 1+2 gives no recoverable health, you can also see one hellsweep giving grey EVEN on hit(12:29), so not every damage is permanent.

When using Kazuya you have to know fundamentals and matchups to have an advantage..
@@cryptonesto2095 Ok? That doesn’t mean he needs to buffed into another character that can mindlessly mash their way to whatever rank they want. Kazuya has amazing counter hit launchers and can easily get 80 damage off a combo that requires very little execution. With tekken 8 and all the buffs especially he has good enough poking and his 50/50 is ridiculously strong. Yes it’s very risky but the reward you get is far above the risk in most cases. Just saying that a character is hard so they need buffs so I can win more is ridiculous. How about we get some Lee buffs? The most execution heavy combos in the game for 65 damage unless you land a big launcher or hit a wall. Horrendous range on almost every attack and heat does almost nothing for the character his heat smash is also garbage. Kaz got an entire page of buffs the 1.05 patch he doesn’t need anymore

U feel its a staged match to some extent given the mistakes on the fundemintals
Idk what is is, but the Action Overall in 8 is not very smooth or crisp, somewhat low Level blurred? In fg normally Both Fighters distiguish themselves more from the background and stuff with more contrast, and in 8 they do not, its one gigantic Soup of Pixels and sometimes even hard to follow, with the added layers of the many different hit effects even more. The Sound of the Hits are dimmed down to the contrast, Blocked moves even more, its sucks tbh and its weird 🙈
