At my local Popeyes they offer them until New Year’s and they’re $109. People need to understand that they cost different in different locations. The cheapest price I found was $40 and up to $135.
I just go to my local Popeyes and grab one. They cost $45 bucks. If picking up was not an option, I would never pay $100 to have it shipped to me. That's crazy. That being said, I do enjoy the flavor and how easy it is to cook. I'm a chef and I work crazy hours. Thanksgiving is one of the few holidays we get off so I don't want to be stuck brining then prepping then cooking a turkey when Popeyes can do all that for me.

Thanks for reviewing this. Everyone loves Popeyes and nearly everyone is looking for a way to reinvent turkey. No turkey is worth $70-100. Sorry. I paid $40 for the same kind of fully cooked hickory smoked turkey from Sam's. It was also pretty much thawed at the store. I'm from Louisiana and I could Cajun up a turkey, but that's not what I like for thanksgiving. I have that kind of food that enough during the year. Btw, my results were less than satisfactory. The last couple of years, our family has ordered a smoked Cajun Turkey from Greenberg in Tyler, Texas. Their turkeys are fire!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 We’ve also had Popeye’s previously and they were also a hit!!
One of my relatives brought one over directly cooked from Popeye's. I usually don't care much for eating turkey, but it was EXCELLENT. Juiciest white meat on a turkey I've ever eaten.
I actually started smoking turkeys on order this year (a friend asked me if I would do a few for them, and I think I settled around $75-$100 per bird for 2. Since I did so few, and have a relatively small barrel smoker, that price just covered my TIME (after ingredients) at like $15/hour of prep/active work including brining, then injecting with melted herb butter, and smoking. I will say, they turned out incredible. If something is truly special, it can be worth the price tag. Never shop for someone else with “your wallet.” Reviews were so good, I’m already getting orders for next year! ❤

But my turkey cost 10 dollars at Safeway because we bought it way before Thanksgiving as part of a deal. And it was a 20 pound turkey.
