  • Ropes are a great way to tie down a load, they are cheap, and strong. Every beekeeper should have them as a back up.

FANTASTIC. As a generalized hacker I have had great results with basic trucker's hitch. This self locking hitch is next level. :)

Just when you thought you'd seen all the trucker's hitches... along comes... a better trucker's hitch.

Great video.... i guess instead of 3 pieces of ropes, you can start and finish with one piece of a very long rope; 3 rounds .. correct?thanx..

    Good video
You know using a rope is it lost art.
I am probably one of the oldest last Old-Timers that use ropes. I use your ropes before we head ratchet I rather use ropes
anytime. Maybe some of these younger beekeepers and get a cheese whiz idea 💡🤔

I agree ropes are great cheap, easy to use. The only trouble with them is knowing how to use them. The knots take time to get used to. Belts are a lot simpler to teach.

I like using ropes. That's the way I was taught. What length do you typically use? Most of mine are 25 ft but I'm going to start making them a little longer.
