The best video yet on explanation of such a system thank you. I’m in the framing stage of a new build in the northeast US
I install the hmh7 as well. Pretty neat. Our power company also offers up to $1450 rebates for duel fuel set ups. Really cool!
I've recommended dual fuel for years. Love how it locks out the condenser when the temp drops too low at night. When it's high 40's to low 50's and you need heat, the HP is far more efficient, but when it gets down to the 20's at night, the furnace fills the bill.
I would really appreciate that!! Your absolutely the best tech on TH-cam thanks
I really appreciate you saying that that is awesome
Another good thing about dual fuel is that if there is a power outage, the gas furnace runs on 120 volts. A small generator will enable you to have heat.
Excellent video. Thank you!
You're welcome thank you so much for watching
Thx for the info. We don't have ducting so we use a low temp Mini-split. Wish we could do this.
Great video hope your doing well
thank you 😊 All is well
Nice job Tad ... Thx
I have 2 dual fuel for my home and went to buy a new thermostat at home depot this evening and they only had electric heat compatible.
Fortunately it’s failure is only the button to lower the temperature and it’s only set 1 degree too high. So to the hvac supply I shall go tomorrow.
It was actually the install of both of those units which spurred my interest in gaining knowledge of this end of hvac. My next home I’ll be installing a boiler and hydronic baseboard. I’m not a fan of forced air heating.
Good Stuff Thank you for sharing
Sensi Touch 2 thermostat has a user configurable heat pump lockout temperature. The Sensi Touch 2 gets the outdoor temperature via WiFi so no need to run an outdoor temperature sensor. I purchased the Sensi Touch 2 from Amazon. Installation was a snap for my dual fuel unit.
Great video watching from Paris.
Glad your here, Brother J
Propane and Heating Oil dual fuels are great with heat pump. Natural gas doesn’t make sense as the gas companies charge a service fee each month that is 25 dollars in some places. Switch to electric water heater if you have electric heat pump.
I worked for an HVAC/R company about 30 years ago that did alot of work for York Int.
They actually made an a/c unit that was natural gas powered, but still wasn't convertible to propane. Interesting concept but I think they were still working the bugs out of it.
Do they still make anything like that? Just curious
Quick question what’s the “ m “ call for on a York heat pump the “ m “ is on the defrost board going into the 24v contacter but I don’t understand what exactly it’s calling for please help
I will do video about that.
Nice job. Do you have any heat pump dual fuel hydronic system installed?
I don't think I have a video on that I will check though.
@@TaddyDigest I could not be able to find any content about this. I have baseboards installed and I would like to install a heat pump hybrid boiler to it. Thanks for any help.
Hi Taddy Im a hvac tech only on 2ton minisplits..Im thinking of buying the ""jumper king 24v short trouble shoot...my question is would it be a smart investment since I only work on 2ton minisplits...can you please reply!!
I don't know what the jumper king is
I've never had one and don't know what it is so i'm not sure if it would be a smart investment.
Its a device tat works with 24v it has aligator clips that connect to the thermostat communication wires its been riviewd by other HVAC techs in USA its to trouble shoot the 24v shorts to ground sold by Amazon."" Its called the "Jumper King "😊
Is adding a HP to an electric furnace considered duel fuel?
no, because the fuel source is still electric
