I feel like this video should have mentioned that infinites in this game are so long and time-consuming that sometimes you can land the infinite and still lose because the timer ran out before you got the opponent's health bar down far enough
That clip from Last blade 2 at 4:01 is decieving. You have two health bars per round, the orange one and the red one, so what they show isnt 40% total damage but half of that.
Yeah, i don't get the point of that. When we have samsho where you can take over half of enemy's HP bar with one 1 heavy attack. You need full context on the gameplay mechanic to see if the damage is too much

Considering what IS considered Kusoge is usually still more balanced than 3rd Strike or Marvel, I wonder if there's any fighting game that ISN'T a kusoge?

You'd be surprised to find out how many of them actually try to but it really comes down to how many people they can get to sign up for those; which usually isn't enough, if any, so they end up scrapping that bracket
It should be noted that of all anime's original voice actors who reprised their roles, only one have been dead years ago, legendary Kaneto Shiozawa (Rei's original voice, also voiced Gray Fox in OG Metal Gear Solid). Jagi's died some times after the game and will be replaced by Takagi (Eikichi Onizuka and Okuyasu). As for Kenshiro's original VA: Akira Kamiya, he did not reprise, afaik, because doing those ATATATA was too much for his vocal cords. He did reprise his other legendary roles, Ryo Saeba in City Hunter movies, and Roy Focker in Macross media.
The problem here is that MVC2 is BROKEN in capitals as is UMVC3 , the difference is that it doesn't fill the checkmark in "low quality" you're skipping that part from the kusoge category. Most of the games shown are anime fighters that aren't meant to be competitive but a fan service little thing. Like the sengoku basara which is made by arc sys , the same with sailor moon in these cases they are not just unbalanced there was never a balance in mind while mvc2 and umvc3 have certain adjustments one tuning characters from past Vs series and the other actually having a balance support until marvel ceased it.
Fist of the northstar is my fav anime/manga ever and the fact that toki my fav character in fiction is so amazing i love this game and manga if you haven’t watched/read it you need too

@@gonzalotorres5282 Not the 1st time a game has adjustments of the USA release vs JPN release (and very likely not the last), is interesting to seek those changes if you ask me (that's why for the most part you only see JPN versions on tournaments).
I gotta say I really love mechanics like that in fighting games where you can win by another method than reducing a healthbar to zero. Things such as Soul Calibur's ring outs, or Smash bros' gimps (if you consider hitting them across the blastzone with pure knockback as the 'traditional' method of killing, then gimping is another thing you have to think about and another way of winning)... It's why I really like Sekiro's combat system and hope to see something similar in a fighting game sometime.
In this game one of the characters can win the match by landing a lv1 supermove and then not get hit by the opponent for 30 seconds, if both conditions are met, you won the match/they are already dead
I guess this word is being used in English more often now. Kusoge is just any game that has a bad reputation because of imbalance, glitches, bad quality ect.
I have always wondered about the term, but I just love the clips of them just sitting back with the dribble combos, I played a chunk of fighters and the constant bouncing annoyed me, but I have no knowledge of the esports scene, so this was funny to see that it is a thing that many know of.
This was my favorite game of anime evo the year those clips are from. So many hilarious moments while infinites were happening I couldn't stop watching.
Arc Sys must make a remake/remastered hit collection of past games. Like this one, DBZ- Supersonic Warriors 2 (the metal score was awesome for a DS game) n other unknown underrates gems
So melee is a kusoge for sure weather it's Mechanics, stages, or character. SO much about melee is broken. The thing is that comes from hundreds upon thousands of ppl picking every aspect of the game apart for more than fifteen years. I personally would crown melee as the king of kusoge.

There is also a multigame speedrun race called Kusogrande full of kusoge game, but operated in English.
