So what does United do now then? Sack this manager and give a lot of the players yet another free pass - its been this way for a number of managers now and who else is even available and capable? Im down for selling a whole horde of the current players and keeping ETH honestly.
1) Martial wasn't put out on loan last season, he was loaned out at the second half of the 21/22 season
2) In modern football, top managers at top clubs don't sign the players. They tell the scouting team the type of players they want to fit their style of play. The scouts find them and the sporting director signs them off. I'm sure there is the odd player here and there a manager asks for. But at United ETH has pretty much been signing all the players, due to Uniteds incompetency.
3) ETH definitely needs to be held accountable for there not being any style of play or substance. But even if he did manage that, he would have hit a ceiling with this club. As the board stop spending money once UCL qualification is assured.
4) following on from spending, United have been spending badly for over a decade now. With reactionary signings, signing players too late in the window, signing young players not suited to a manager etc.
5) we can get rid of ETH but like KG said in 18 months we will have the same problem. A full sale was needed, but now we can only hope Sir Jim Radcliffe puts football people in place up at the boardroom level, and start implementing modern football club management. EG having a competent sporting director, scouts and improving football facilities.

One issue that ManU has is signing for the headlines rather than signing for the need. Without a manager of significant stature and/or the fan base being desperate enough to get rid of the attitude of entitlement that won't change. If a new manager came in and their first signings were similar to Klopp's (Matip, Grujic, Klavan, Wijnaldum-all no names or "relegated losers" ) the fans would lose their minds rather than taking a "wait and see" or better attitude towards them...
also @ ajax ten hag has 3-4 generational dutch talents (de jong, de light etc) and some top 'unknowns' (at the time ziyech for example) he was playing with a loaded deck in a B tier league

We signed a 20 year old who we think can become world class but he has a back injury which needs to be managed- so he cant play 90 mins twice a week. Hes been injured on international duty and his first game back is against newcastle.
If you dont think he can play the full 90 - do you start him and sub him off in the first half or bring him in at the end.

What is so amazing about his CV? As they say, winning a league McClaren won isn’t impressive. All those managers you listed win the league every year with Ajax, it’s not a difficult achievement. @@archiewall124Look at Ajax record in Ten Hag final season and look at Ajax since he has gone. Ten Hag also used to lose good players but still keep Ajax at the top. Ajax strategy only worked due to how good Ten Hag is.
Sancho was being consistently late … I remember eth dropping rashford for a similar error last season and he came out all guns blazing … I don’t see the point of discussing this issue for the majority of this video 😂
