      Legit do maybe 60 ish raids in a week very easy for me lvl 50 with other lvl 50 players do remotes raids being nerfed is a good thing like get out make friends if not just quit the game it was never meant for you.

    Yep, it gutted my local community and my ability to do in-person raids. Campfire here is inactive and my town's raid group called it quits, I have been unable to do any T5 shadow raids outside of Mewtwo because of the above, and I used to be able to do T5 raids by hosting on PokeGenie but now it takes 30 minutes before the timer starts because there are fewer PokeGenie raiders.
    So this keeps me from doing pvp because shadows and legendaries (and f'ing XL candy) matter, which means I don't power things up, which means I don't raid. Repeat.

      When remote raid passes were $1/ea, I used to just accept any invite, because whatever, it’s a buck. Just get some more coins and do remote raids. When they nerfed the raids, and then doubled the price, I stopped buying pokecoins, and just use the coins I get from gyms. So now remote raid passes are *very* expensive. So any time I get an invitation, I ask myself, “Do I _really_ want to spend the coins on this?”
      That’s a completely different approach, and it means that’s very likely hundreds of dollars I haven’t given Niantic just because I now hesitate every time I think about doing a remote raid.

  • @samuelhan2353

    The funniest thing to me is the fact that niantic inadvertently buffed spoofers with this remote raid pass nerf. For example, I live in a suburb about an hour from New York City by train. On raid days I want to grind I go to the city. You see some people playing, however, every gym in Manhattan fills up instantly on repeat as soon as the raid egg cracks. The spoofers get the benefits of in person raiding while getting the gameplay of remote raiding. Niantic won’t do anything about this, but they are ironically playing the exact opposite way niantic wants the game to be played, while reaping the benefits of cheating the system.

  • @Miklo_1
    @Miklo_1 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +13

    Nerfantic should not be negative towards the community. Instead of nerfing remote raids with the price and with the limitation, they should have incentivized in person raids.
    They could have made it to where when we raid in person which is what they want, we get coin rewards for being the hardest hitter, for example. You can use those coins to buy remote raid passes.
    And for every in person raid you do, you get to extend your remote raid limitation.

  • @PRS-dk4mz
    @PRS-dk4mz 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

    Thanks for speaking out, Count. You’re not negative. You’re simply stating facts supported by logic. Viable businesses adapt to their customers’ will. Niantic’s refusal to do that is just mind boggling. PoGo is a community based game, but what good is it without the community? It is a catastrophic miss on their part thinking they can bend people’s will. There are simply too many competition for people’s time and energy these days.

    Niantic putting a a limit on the remote raid passes for me was upsetting but at the end of the day fine since I would still raid remotely with however much they allowed us to have, what bothered me however, was how much they increased the price of the remote raid passes and would still not increase the amount of pokecoins you would get per day to even make it possible for free to play players have a chance to join in with the fun !

  • @michaelhorton8345
    @michaelhorton8345 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

    The main problem I think with in person raids are there are no incentives. Rare care XL and golden razz are extremely rare to come by. There have been some great raid bosses lately. Some new some old but with in person raiding it is so hard to get everybody together. Due to working or being busy with other things. I totally agree with you on total rework system for remote raids. It’s dead right now, but the old system was way too much. I think there should be limit but maybe do 20 a day and lower price back down to 125. I think this would get more people back in game.

    For me raiding has become like pvp. I use to raid like crazy, raid hours, multiple times a day, raid till i got each shiny. Now i just use my daily free pass on some random tier 1 or 3 and forget raids exist. I really just don't care about raiding at all anymore. It's gotten so bad that even if prices went back to normal and the limit was removed niantic would have to do something major and crazy to get me raiding to any level of capacity that i was before.

  • @davidhensey2000
    @davidhensey2000 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

    They should significantly make in person raids rewards worth it. Maybe making the Iv floor 11/11/11. Increase shiny rate by 5-10%. Guarantee 1Xl rare candy. Give gyms a schedule to see raids in advance so trainers can schedule doing raids together. A schedule would help trainers do shadow raids on the weekends.
    To balance remote raids and keep game somewhat fair. Allow unlimited remote raids, but after 5 no more Xl candy or just one 1Xl from raids. In addition reduce the price. Not going make everybody happy, but it’s at least middle of the road and would bring some growth to the game.

    Trainer Club added a remote raid pass shirt to his merch and has encouraged players who bought it to wear it at the go fests to protest the nerf so it'll be interesting to see what comes of that. Also I'll add that for the raids after the comm days it should be lower than a 4*. Majority of players are done with comm days at 5 so anyone who misses out essentially can't do these post comm day raids if they wanna shiny hunt and look for good ivs. The raids are a nice addition to help those that missed out but those who missed out aren't necessarily guaranteed to get help from people who spent 3hrs grinding already. Lowering the comm day raids to a 3* at maximum would be much better for everyone.

    I got back into Pogo recently after a two year break. It’s so sad to see virtually nobody in person playing the game anymore. A revert to the old remote raid passes, reworking of enrage mechanics, promotion of Campfire, and buffs for friendship and the ability to trade remotely, would all boost Pogo numbers tremendously. However, if I ran the company, I’d completely relaunch the game (keeping current player of course) with new graphics, modern connectivity infrastructure, and a lot more interactivity. It would be such a grandslam, bringing in more money and players, and a more enjoyable game overall.

    Like imagine you see the next day raid schedule, you mark the raid or raids you will join in game.
    I know people do this in discord/campfire but imagine you see a raid schedule for a Gym that you know you can make it to, then see a little 3 next to it to show 3 people plan to attend.

    What i mean is, all the inconveniences of in person raiding are still there. They have yet to put in some meaningful Quality of Life improvements to it. They did do the ready button and thats great, but if i cant find people do run the raid then i dont get the reward.

    What kills me is that when there is a good offer, or maybe just when I have pokecoins to spend, I can't have more than 5 remote raid passes in my items. What's the point ? Why would they prevent me from spending money on passes that I cannot even use all in one day ?

That way some exploration is involved but we can raid in the comfort of our homes. 100% agree. In person raiding is dead. I dont do anything during the week but remote raids and the weekends are tedious to raid in person except on raid days.
    let us see what raids will be at what gyms for the day at each gym. You cannot effectively raid in person when raids are unpredictable and nobody wants to drive all over at these gas prices.
    Spoofing is more popular than ever with people openingly streaming remotely "walking around". Stop fighting the trend and realize the game originally designed isn't desired anymore. The buzz is gone

    It took me years to find a raid group. Years of driving 15 minutes out only for groups to do the raid without me and act like they didn’t see my message that I was almost arriving. After the pandemic a lot of people moved on for whatever reasons. Remote Raid passes make it easier not to deal with the BS and drama. I would rather do solo-able raid, remote raids or none at all. Now I just hope I get a legendary from GBL. If Niantic takes that away, then I guess I just won’t get it.

    They focused on the wrong aspect of fixing the raiding imbalance that had incorrectly(their opinion) leaned to remotes rather than in person. Instead of nerfing the remotes, they should have cut costs on in person then implement benefits you only get from those. Imagine guaranteed shiny boost or better ivs or such to reward the player going out to the in person raid.
    The not raiding much is me because of the price increase and keeping it stuck to 5 a day, just not worth it. Really go in every little bit to shiny check or do the 4 6 hour rotating rocket balloons. Will try for raids but t5s legit need remoted friends to be able to do them.

    I mean the raids also pretty much suck these days. It’s just the same guys rotating through, and I can only remote 5 a day and those passes are *expensive* now, so I’m not really interested in spending to get the same guys I already have. The only ones that are new are in shadow raids, and you can’t remote those, and there’s never people at them, so I just don’t bother.

  • @manbeerpigs16
    @manbeerpigs16 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I bet they limited RRs because it was becoming expensive.
    I'm kind of ignorant of server/network impacts and whatnot but I bet RRs, at certain times, cause a lot of networking issues. by limiting remote raids they also limit the overall congestion of their network - making it cheaper to sustain over time. It also creates more rarity with raids. Along with them being cycled, you only get 5 RR a day so players are less likely to get hundos/shiny/shundos and thus more likely to do more of that raid when it comes back a year or so later.
    I could be wrong but having to constantly connect people from one side of the world to the other for remote raids probably isn't cheap so it seems reasonable that they'd limit it to some extent...to keep their costs low.

    If they want to persuade people to do in person raiding, give us more raid passes per day instead of decreasing the amount back to 1 raid pass this season. I enjoy doing in person raids and the 2 raid passes per day bonus helped getting people together. As the pace of the game evolves and player retention should be a major consideration, Niantic needs to give more and more bonuses compared to previously. It’s just the way how every game goes to give more incentive for old players to continue and for new players to be able to catch up. Don’t they realize that every single time they take things away from players and revert the pace of the game back to a previous level, there’s a huge backlash?

Now they cost too much to get remote passes. My other issue is my own personal problem that I cannot catch the raid bosses after winning the raid has turned me off to raiding....but that my own lack of ability...so now when I get a remote pass...I am a lot more selective of what I use it on....

    well, they don't realize that most of their fan base who remote raid, have a lot of issue depending on where you live, weather your medical able to even get out, plus the weather plays a large part. when they force you do it in person sucks, because most of their fan base are people who work and the days, they put things on don't work for everyone. not everyone plays the game the same way, and at the end of the day it a business to make money, people come and go that with everything. fine to have limits but a cost shouldn't have play in it, because your higher ups are dumb. I think most remotes I ever did in a day was around 25 and that not every day either, since most would be on the legendary ones. plus, if person want to do 100 remotes a day who cares it their money and entertainment they get from the game. know they need to create ticket events to make the money they are losing on daily, and most of them sucks or not event worth it for what you are getting. I feel any paid ticket you should receive a shiny or two not a higher rate which never happens when they say it. it funny trying to tell you how to play the game with giving and taking things. plus doing in person there isn't much reward and people to do the raid with. my issue is being kick out of the game or freezing and being able to get back into the game in a timely manner since some raids depend on everyone if there a small group. they need to remove that stupid message are you safe, what are going to do for me! it not like someone going be there for you or help pay your medical bill. I feel if they do a special event, they should open it up remote raid with no limits for that day or weekend at reduce cost. it is nice to have raids bundles on the day of raids and not the day before or after.

    Raids could be done in such a way now like they’ve done in monster Hunter now with hunt a thons. You get put into matchmaking with other hunters if you’re solo. It’s still has some improvements to be made but it’s a good system that could be grafted onto Pokémon go. Remote raid passes would then be a nice-to-have instead of a requirement to keep the game breathing.

    The combination of a significant pvp push and a general reorganizing of the game has almost made the new player experience one of the worst in games. There are several raid pokemon that need an elite charged tm to work in their type Rayquaza Mewtwo and shadow Groudon/Kyogre almost to an absurd degree. With great and ultra league iv so hard to get it's very difficult to get tier one counters that need elite tms ready since the boxes are almost always overpriced. It's nearly impossible to find the communities because campfire is so detached from the game that most people don't know it even exists. We need a combination of better boxes that are regularly available, price changes and a significant reduction in artificial limits.

This year has been pretty stacked already, the fact is that unless seasons like the last two are the new normal and not the current seasons timed single shot of fomo a month the legendary raids are going to be all that will hold this game up. It's lees about the min-max and more that there are so few options for viable move sets and there are so many charged moves that you need to be able to solo and low man in the current game is becoming necessary instead of a nice to have.
