Whatever it is, you have to go to your My Documents - Amnesia - Necrologue folder and find the hpl.log file right after the crash. You open it up with Notepad and read what it says at the bottom of the file, it will say what caused the crash. It's best to just send the file to the developers, they will know what to do. :)

1) Not sure what you mean by 'good'. Sharp textures? I play with pretty much max settings, highest gamma, 1280x720 res and then sharpen the video a little in a video editor. 2) I doubt I can help you with technical issues. Which light source? There must be an issue occuring with a script that probably happens near that light source. Check the hpl.log of _Necrologue_ and see what it says.

In necrologue, there are more places like empty rooms and stuff, where you cannot really do anything, they're just there. Like at the beginning, there are 2 or 3 rooms that you can enter only with loading screen, and they are "useless". These would be good places to hide from monsters, but at that part of the game, there are no such things you should hide from. In the previous series (Overture, Black Plage) if i remember correctly, there weren't so many "useless" places. This little change is so strange for me like why did they put empty rooms only accessible by loading screen to the game? :D

It also felt a bit time-wasting to wander around that first level, but we gotta start somewhere. In that case though, I think they focused on using this first level as a transition to actual gameplay. Like, let the player reminisce the original location, remade, introducing you to CounterCurrent Games' new storyline and prepping the atmosphere, but not focusing on it. This is, essentially, where we finished off last time, so we have to revisit this level to be able to move on. That's how I see it

I don't want to spoil the story, but the player will control Amabel, who is going to search for Phil and you are going to find out what has become of Clarence. It won't answer all question though, it will raise other ones, but apparently if I know it right, there is another custom story in development.
The puzzles are incredibly difficult. I never would've guessed to do some things or where to look for the required items. At 1:18:14 the door refused to open for me. I dont know what else to do. I'm just going to watch the rest of this video. Edit: apparently I was missing one sphere. I dont care anymore.

No, the Crow Bar only functions 2 times. The Steel Rod you pick up after Jeyla Kwon's Death will open 3 locked doors. You can find these 3 locked doors right after you go out of the canteen where Jeyla died and ahead of you is a door but there are bookshelves in the way. (Upon entering you will be back in the second Level of Penumbra Black Plague, where you have to find a saw, bring it to Eminiss and so on...) There, you can find these 3 locked doors and at the library, behind 2 of those you will find easter eggs: One is a small living room with a leaked pipe, creepy music that I never heard before play, you can pick up a weird Collector Statue, you will then hear Clarence (the original voice actor by the way) talk about how a Bed makes him purr or what ever. Some kind of scrapped Voice Line. In the other living room you can find a Casette with the Name "Dr. Eminiss" and putting it into Casette Player in the room will play a message, altough my sound bugged out so I have no Idea what it says. I was only being able to see subtitles for a split second.
Plot twist, Clarence left us to get Amabel. In all seriousness, yeah, there are so many unanswered questions and it shows how difficult it is to write a video game. I still enjoyed the mod, it's better than majority of mods available out there
My game literally glitched and broke right at the very end (the airblowers after spelling Howard never shut off so I couldn't even make it through the door without being blown back) so here I am watching the ending instead of playing it :(
I couldn't open the gate in the sever to progress. It just didn't move to any direction. Sucks. I was looking forward to play this but my journey got halted at the first steps.
Bit of a late reply, but the issue seems to be that either the gate or the valve, being actual physical objects, sometimes load incorrectly and get stuck in the textures. Reloading from last save should fix the problem. Source: currently playing through the game and encountered the same bug.
For many videos, the tags with the _no commentary_ phrase do the job with the positioning; as for the titles, I like to keep them minimalistic rather than fully descriptive. Wherever someone finds my content, they quickly figure it's no commentary mostly. Besides, now there is commentary, the text.

It's supposed to be the night vision/eyes adjusting to darkness type of thing. It was even more prominent in the original Penumbra games, since the engine supported that feature (screen getting wider and such, check it out)

When i turn on the generator, the door leading to the library with the valves is closed-off and i can't get the Medical drug which should let me get the crowbar from the dead monster, do i have to restart the game then? :-:
This door 0:18:08 ? I really can't remember, I've always opened it before turning on the generator, but maybe once you turn it on, the door becomes permanently closed? Try reloading a previous save, in the Archives/Residential area before the generator puzzle (when it's still dark everywhere), and do it in the same order as I did.

This isn't a glitch, it's the gameplay design. The elevator's walls are tall enough to make jumping in rather difficult, as the elevator goes up immediately once you let go of the wheel, so it looks like the developers decided to place the rock in the strategic spot to make it easier. You don't *have to* stand on it, if you don't want to; it's just advice for those who are struggling to jump in
Lovely, cause sometimes I fail to recognize if someone is actually a douche or not, haha. You don't remove the helmet of light--it shall guide you through the maze-ish corridors until you decide to discard it randomly, in a place where a cave-in is most likely to occur...

The first monster encounter is actually skippable. There is another screwdiver located somewhere else.
where is it?
There is another locked door upstairs. When you find the key, you can unlock it and find the screwdiver there.

You can just open the extra_english.lang file and search the credits section, you'll find 3 parts of the password and then just combine them
They changed the screw driver bit, I got it from the door upstairs and theres no monster.

Go to your Documents, Amnesia, Necrologue and read the hpl.log file, it should say what caused the crash

This isn't a glitch, it's the gameplay design. The elevator's walls are tall enough to make jumping in rather difficult, as the elevator goes up immediately once you let go of the wheel, so it looks like the developers decided to place the rock in the strategic spot to make it easier. You don't *have to* stand on it, if you don't want to; it's just advice for those who are struggling to jump in

Lovely, cause sometimes I fail to recognize if someone is actually a douche or not, haha. You don't remove the helmet of light--it shall guide you through the maze-ish corridors until you decide to discard it randomly, in a place where a cave-in is most likely to occur...

The original Amabel sounded like a casual weather girl discussing the upcoming sunny intervals, and it looked like the voice actress was never even told that she was actually portraying a scientist in an abandoned, zombie-ridden complex, fighting for her own survival. You were that scientist. Don't fret, your performance was memorable, and true to the story. 🖤 Apart from that, I don't believe Amabel's nationality (and adequately, the accent she spoke) was really any important part of the plot
