Like a few have pointed out, there's a difference between preference and "yellow fever". Some guys find the typical physical Asian features to be attractive, and that's okay. Just like it's okay to prefer the certain AESTHETICS of one race over another. It becomes a problem when they only want to date the idea of an Asian and not the person itself.

    • @vlo4829
      @vlo4829 8 ปีที่แล้ว +85

Think I accidentally clicked "cancel". Take two:
Some also seem to get "yellow fever" because they think it's the cure for being burned by someone of their own race (usually a white guy getting burned by a white girl). These types have a chip on their shoulder, they talk up Asian women while talking down about other women. Run if you meet one of these

    • @stefanmuc2k
      @stefanmuc2k 8 ปีที่แล้ว +54

It's true that some people utterly ignore the person and instead just project a stereotype on them. However "yellow fever" makes it sound like attraction to a girl with Asian features is kinda like an illness, something normal men should not feel. That's a deeply racist concept, and I don't think it's specifically applied to men who have stereotypical ideas about Asian women, but rather generally to disparage WM/AF relationships. (I've never heard it applied to AM/WF relationships, don't know if it occurs there, too.)

    • @vlo4829
      @vlo4829 8 ปีที่แล้ว +11

It is applied as a negative and yes, it is sometimes falsely applied to any Asian and non-Asian relationship (usually males), but the use seems to be mostly by white people... To keep each other in line? And by Asian women to warn each other. The fetishization of Asian women fostered that image that Asian women are something "to be into" as if it's kinky, like S & M

It should be extremely rare to like the features of only one race. judging by the number of guys who "just happen" to like Oriental features and the heavy stereotypes surrounding Orientals in the West, I'm highly sceptical of any guy who claims he just happens to like the way we look.

I'm Mexican, Born and raised in the US and I have met guys who aren't Latinos who have told me they only date Latinas or Mexican's. Personally I like that response. It has its pro's. I have met plenty of Latinos who date only white girls so it is nice to hear that there are also other races that only date Latinas. The last guy I met like that didn't tell me he only dated Mexicans but he did say he loved Mexican Women and added me on facebook. I looked at his page and it shows through his posts and pictures that he is only attracted to Latinas (Especially Mexicans) He is Korean so that really surprised me since I had never seen a Korean date another race other than Asian and White.
My brother mostly dates Asian girls which for me is cool since I am so facinated by their cultures. Korean, Japan's and China's culture are all interesting to me. If he married an Asian women I would be happy and would love to learn her native language while also teaching her Spanish.
I myself also am really attracted to Asian Men. I have dated plenty of Latinos and even 2 white guys but now I am trying to only date Asian men since I keep finding them more attractive than my own Nationality.
It is all about preference. Oh and of course personality also matters, I wouldn't date someone who is rude but super attractive.

I think there are different levels of what can be called "yellow fever."
Some people, for example, find the general features of people from Asia to be attractive (general hair color, eye color, skin tone, height, build, etc.). It's not any different from a person who likes blondes or redheads, tall guys or short guys, athletic bodies or skinny bodies. For this kind of person, the ethnicity is merely the first visual bit of attraction, and any real relationship will develop based on personalities, values, goals, etc. Ethnicity is just one physical element of what he/she seeks in a partner, and that physical element doesn't carry additional intangible expectations about the target of his/her attraction. I think this variation of "yellow fever" is fairly benign. As one of the ladies in the video mentioned, it's just a matter of personal taste.
Another version of "yellow fever" is one based on preconceptions and mis-perceptions. People who suffer from this version are also physically attracted to the ethnic features associated with people from Asia, but are more interested in perceived cultural or personality traits that they expect people from Asia to display. Sometimes, these expectations are not based in reality, but rather from movies, television, novels, or comic books. Yuta touched on one of the common misconceptions in that some people believe that women of Asian descent are "submissive," or at least more submissive than women from other ethnicities. The problem with this type of "yellow fever" is that real people will rarely, if ever, meet these fantasy-based expectations, and that will lead to disappointment and conflict for both parties.

    • @Bubby91
      @Bubby91 8 ปีที่แล้ว +36

your comment is 100 percent correct. I generally find Asian girls attractive myself from a physical features standpoint. I dated a girl from Japan at my university who actually really liked me first when I wasn't good at getting the hint haha.. but she was beautiful and we got along through compatible personalities. Absolutely no preconceptions in my mind regardless of what race or country she came from. I treated her with respect like I would any girl, and she was my first Asian girlfriend even though I had found Asian girls attractive for some time. sadly things didn't work out in the long run and she moved back to Japan and we stopped dating. regardless of my sob story hahaha, I surely fall into the first category for my personal tastes. but I can't say I would ever exclusively date Asian women, It's hard to explain I guess.

Any race can have yellow fever (maybe not East Asians since they don't believe stereotypes about their race). Yellow fever is fetishising East Asian people and believing them to be stereotypical. Having preferences is different.

  • @deldarel

I have two opinions about it:
If the yellow fever is fuelled by stereotypes, then that person should learn it's simply not the case, but he'll find out after dating some asian women
However, if it's about the looks, language, or anything cultural or biological that actually makes them different that you're attracted to, I don't think there's anything wrong at all. Beauty, both on the inside and outside, is subjective and no matter how I look at it, it can not be discrimination.
If I only like asian girls, would that discriminate the rest of the world?
If I take it one step further: if I only date girls, would that be discrimation to guys?
Or a step back: If I like a specific asian girl, am I discriminating an asian girl i'm not attracted to?
Or even: if I only like girls from any ethnicity except asian, would that be discrimination?
    It's simply sexual preference.

    • @deldarel

TheAznsenzation good point. I wasn't really thinking of people who would force asian women to fit the stereotype or would tunnelvision on those stereotypes, causing confirmation bias when they actually do listen to you or do bring you coffee when you work.
A relationship in any case is usually 50% giving and 50% taking, but loving the biggest part of both. When the asian woman in the relationship does her 50% of giving, it fits their narrative and it's suddenly them being subordinate. This shallow approach completely throws off the dynamics in a relationship.
This is a topic that's discussed waaaay too little. Not just with asian women, but with gender dynamics in general. It infuriates me because this is very important for a healthy relationship. Be with someone that you want to give to 80% of the time and those 50% given will be more sincere and those 50% she gives will make you feel like you get more than you deserve, but in a good way, not in a guilty way.
Sorry, that was a tangent I felt I needed to bring up.
But another good point you bring up is the difference between 'common ethnic features' and 'overgeneralisation'. That first one is biology, that second one is ignorance and could be actually discriminatory. This is a very important part of why yellow fever is looked down upon. People assume you overgeneralise asians, or even a specific country. The only real way you can keep specific countries apart is by living among them for a while. 'foreign asians' to the country you live will look different from where you live. This is natural. I'm Dutch and I can easily distinguish caucasians from neighbouring countries by facial features, even though an american couldn't.
And in your last paragraph, where you say asian girls already get annoyed when a non-asian guy hits on them: Asians don't assume those things. They come from the same culture so they know better, but they are usually in the far minority in western cities. Even if we assume only 20% of the non-asian men are that shallow, if the population is 10% asian in that town, she'd still run twice as much into shallow non-asian as into an asian so the odds just seem extremely high for them. This doesn't really make sense if you think '80% of the non-asians are still decent people' until you think that those 80% simply wouldn't catcall or do perverted stuff that grabs your attention and disgust. They're a moving background.

Thanks for this Yuta. It's interesting to see the answers and in someways even more interesting to see how the answers are given. I often think that part of yellow fever is that different cultures have different behavioral norms and that someone from one culture might misinterpret the behavior of someone from another culture.
I read somewhere recently that what people say isn't as important as how they say it. So maybe a part of this is how we intercommunicate with each other and what we think the message is.
    Again, thanks.

Also, I've met way too many douchebags who have no idea how to win a woman's heart and harbour this fantasy about a non threatening, meek, eternally smiling Asian girl who will worship their ass. That is just repugnant.

I'm a young guy from northern Europe and I have studied abroad in Tokyo. I would say that the other side of the coin is a lot more extreme. In general, Japanese girls (NOT just "gaijin hunters") REALLY like western guys who are respectful, somewhat handsome and sweet/gentle. A lot (not all of them though) of my male Japanese friends are really shy/awkward around girls, not very good at having conversations with girls and not very gentlemanlike (but they obviously have a lot of other great attributes!). Every single time I went to bars/clubs in Tokyo I always got a ton of attention from girls. This might have a bit to do with my social skills, looks, personality etc. but I don't get anywhere near that much attention in my home country. When I walked around in Tokyo girls would shout "kawaii" all the time etc. My take on this situation is that there are some cultural things about western girls that some (not all) western guys don't like. In the same sense, there are some cultural things about Japanese guys that some (not all) Japanese girls don't like. Personally, I love that Japanese girls are really polite, sweet, considerate and cute (whereas western girls tend to be more in-your-face sexy which I don't like). However, I do find western girls attractive too!

They usually do. They tend to hang out in the same places, try any British bar in Tokyo on a weekend!
Unfortunately, it doesn't really solve the problem, as both parties enter the relationship with unrealistic expectations of one another and as a result they rarely last long!
What a "yellow fever" guy often fails to realise is that a Japanese girl who is willing to approach a foreign guy in a bar is likely very different to the Western idea of a stereotypical Japanese girl. The girl making the approach in itself is pretty unconventional in Japan.

    • @Jjjohnwith3js
      @Jjjohnwith3js 8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

+flyingroses Exactly. The women often go in as blind as the man. Perhaps more so, as the western gentlemen stereotype is still widely believed. When in reality, if that's what they want, they'd likely have more luck with a Japanese guy!
Once the honeymoon period is over, and the cultural differences start to show, it doesn't take long for a foreigner/japanese relationship to deteriorate. Especially if it was born out of false expectations. Used to live over there myself and saw it many times.

Personally, liking the certain features that go along with a race (ethnicity) is ok. Just biological attraction. That is not affecting friendships or treatment of others very much. But many races have certain aesthetics that are cute if shown off right. This goes for both genders. One might be attracted to one, while another is attracted to another's body. It would not be fair to force someone to be with another they are not sexually attracted to. Any gender, of any ethnicity, can be very attractive, provided that their body is healthy. An unhealthy body is not very likely to be attractive. Simple biology. (By unhealthy, I am talking about if in general, like if someone is obese or starved. Not if one has a flu or some illness or health problem that is non aesthetically impairing. ). I am just being logical and practical here, but this is also to say that each human has different biological preferences. It is simple biology and nothing to be ashamed of. Just the passing on of genetics, and the forming of intimate bonds, with one another.

I would say the term "yellow fever" is stigmatising persons who have an esthetic preference towards Asian people. This preference could have it's root in the visual differences, but can also be derived from a certain type of personality Asian societies are more likely to form in its members.
So beyond the easy explanation that the "yellow fever" patient likes the looks of the typical Asian visual features we can have a deeper reason. Many westerners fall in love with Asian cultures and especially the Japanese culture aside of it being exotic to them it upholds virtues the West once had but often doesn't live up to anymore (,that is how I see it). The coexistence of tradition and innovation in the Japanese society breeds - in my opinion - particularly interesting personalities.
Many Japanese women Probably wouldn't think of this reason by their own, because when you are so used to your culture you tend to take it for granted and don't think about it as much as an outsider probably would (generalisation, I am aware there are exceptions).
And I end with what I said a couple of times when such a phenomenon was the topic of discussion: Sexual and romantic preferences are rarely racist.

This strikes home a little bit for me. I dated black girls, white girls, hispanic girls over the course of my life. but 3 years back i decided to start learning Japanese (one of those things i've always wanted to do). I have always had what one might call "yellow fever" in the sense i usually think an asian woman is more attractive to me than other women.
but since i started learning Japanese, I only dated or even paid much attention to asian women.
it wasn't because I thought they were submissive (primarily because i had read a couple of books on Japanese culture past and present and learned about how the Japanese wife is basically in control of everything and the husband is just the work horse).
I just prefered asian women, and wanted to have someone to help me learn the language.
or course I missed the mark ever so slightly since I ended up dating a Chinese woman, and marrying her.
She's the best, so i have no regrets. But technically you could say it was a result of yellow fever. I only think certain people look upon it negatively. Nothing wrong with liking who you like, right?

I will say that for me I don't think I have anything like "Yellow Fever" or the like, if I think someone is cool the race doesn't really matter, but I also have skin colours I don't like, it is more about where I grew up and the demographics of my region, I personally think that really dark skin is unappealing, but that is because where I grew up in there were not many people with really dark skin, at most light dark skin, but yeah it is about what I grew up with around me.
I personally think that Asian Women in general tend to rank higher in terms of raw attractiveness for me, I just like their facial features, also since I am a tall guy even were I live, I am used to liking smaller women than me, since most tend to be shorter than me, it is a combinations of factors that make me think of of Asian women as more attractive than people of my own racial background, but it is not an exclusive thing, I think about atrractiveness from a first contact sort of way.
And anyways saying you only date people from a certain racial is not racist, I mean afterall dating is a personal choice by both parties, it is not like you are being discriminated by a guy not wanting to date you, it is not like a violation of civil liberties, it can just be that the person thinks of a race as more attractive than any other and wants to have a partner who he likes physically and personally, but if you are dating someone only for their appearence it is wrong to date that way, sure you can date people of a specific racial group all you want and date within that race until you find someone you truly like, afterall even if you only date within a certain race, as long as you care about the personality and the person you date I see nothing wrong.

I think for a lot of Asians, yellow fever is a negative term. Around the time I started dating my current girl friend, who is from Japan, I found out that there were tons of rumors that had been spread against me by senior, who were also in the Japanese Language Major. She told me about what she had heard, and I had no idea. A couple of my Korean friends confirmed that the rumor was pretty big among the foreigners. I found the people with in my major who started the rumor, and I confronted them, but there was no justice to be had. I had to out grow the rumor by distancing myself from the foreign community at my university for a period of time. I can warn anyone who wants to be taken seriously by Asians who come from another country, be careful how you present yourself, because if they believe that you have yellow fever, rumors will spread like wild fire. Now that i have out grown that term, I have reestablished my relationship with the foreign community at my school, but I am extremely careful with how I present myself. My girl friend supported me through that difficult time, even after she went back to Japan, and we plan on meeting up in my year study abroad in Japan.

I said it on the last video about this, but i'll say it again. I think there are people in the comments that are confused about what tehy have.
Some of you are just attracted to asians. Or your find them to be the prettiest, or you love their culture of wherever they're from or something. Thats not yellow fever. The fever is the obsession and total disregard of the person for who they are and more what they are. Imagine a trophy wife. No one wants to be a solely a trophy wife. Well, thats kinda what an asian gf is for a dude with the fever.
If your preference is asian, then thats what it is, you like asians. But don't tell people you have the fever if you actually give a shit about the individuals.
And jungle fever is the same. I mean...if you can even say that, then clearly theres something wrong with you, lol.
Das all. I feel like this is the same as ppl who casually watch Anime and then call themselves "Otaku" as if they know what thats all about. I wonder if its just people desire to have a title or fit into a special group or club? Even if the reality is, they're nothing like what they claim to be.

So from that point of view, i would choose generally Asian. She also likes me for my nordic culture and customs. How is that wrong? We fits....

I think yellow fever doesn't apply to just skin color, but to personality as well. Every race has its own culture and I think a lot of guys are attracted to Asian women as a whole, not just appearance. I am not attracted to one race over another (although I love red heads, so maybe I have a little bias) but Ive dated a Japanese girl and it was amazing even though it did not work out. I think culture has as much to do with the attraction as appearance.

I find it weird how society muscles in on people's sexual preferences now. Like, what's inherently wrong with someone only being attracted to Asian women? Maybe they like their cultural values and physical appearance - and by targeting people who (most likely) share these qualities it's only prudent.
Personally, I don't really understand the concept of targeting one race's women. Simply seems like you could be missing out on someone really great without knowing it - but at the same time....
The world doesn't move to the beat of just one drum,
what might be right for many, may not be right for some,
you'll have yours and I'll have mine, and together we'll be fine,
it takes different strokes to move the world
Great video though, certainly thought provoking.

It's not really about "race" but what features you find attractive and maybe what culture you feel comfortable in. It might not be the same as the way you look or the culture you were raised in. The thing is, you can't always choose what you like, it's just the way you are so if you've got any kind of "fever" go ahead and embrace it!

The reaction of the young lady at 3:34 is perfect!! She's asked about Asian women being submissive (stereotype) and she responds about women walking behind men. Then asked if she does that personally. She avoids answering, but her eyes clearly say "Hell NO!!"
I worked with a guy back in '85 who would date only Asian ladies. However, those ladies were assertive, not submissive.
sidebar: I lived in Yokohama and Yokosuka from '68 to '70; I was an American high school student. When I rode the trains and buses, I noticed the Japanese girl students tended to be a bit shy. From this video, it appears the ladies have become more assertive in the past 40+ years. Then, again, in '68, the effects of the war (only 30 years prior) still lingered a bit concerning interaction with gaijin. (to my fellow westerners, "gaijin" means foreigner or animal--a holdover from Adm Perry sailing into Tokyo harbor.)

One thing I've learned is that people take on different personalities when they speak another language. I do it as well when I speak Chinese. I become my Chinese self. So, make sure you see what her personality is like when she is with her Chinese friends and family in a Chinese speaking environment. This is critical. I've date a number of Chinese girls. You have to be comfortable knowing that even if you speak the language, some ten year old dipshit kid will be able to speak to your girl better than you will most of the time. that can be fucking frustrating. And even here in America, and even if her English is perfect, she will always be Chinese at heart and you need to be comfortable with the culture and spend time doing Chinese cultural things. Best of luck.

I guess I could say I tend to find Asian women's looks to be really attractive and such. But I think women from all races and countries can be really attractive, Arab, Italian, Turkish, Russian, Mexican, Brazilian, British, African... black, white, hispanic, middle eastern, asian... everyone. But I have OCD and for some reason I obsess about Asian women, I guess since I was mostly interested in Asian women before I met my girlfriend.
I actually gave up on dating an Asian-American girl I liked because she was ignoring me and being really distant and then my girlfriend came along and showed me love and kindness and we just hit it off. And then after that the Asian girl I used to like (we were never even dating officially and we barely talked at this point) starting getting really pissed at me when she found out I had met someone else. So it's like she was being super-distant until she saw I was with someone else and then she started getting all jealous and saying shit like "I know you still want me" and calling me names and just being generally very angry so I blocked her ass.
A word to the wise, just like in the video, Asian girls aren't really submissive, it depends on the person. I asked out the girl I eventually gave up on one night because she was saying I hated her and just doubting my feelings for her, so dumbass me I decided to ask her out even though I knew it was too soon and she rejected me and started saying she needed time and lots of other excuses and then she went to play League with some Asian dude who she liked playing with because she wanted to rank up or some shit. And after that we kinda stopped talking at all where we used to talk every night. And the mistake was on me, but she was doubting my feelings for her, so by asking her out I wanted to show her that I was really into her at the time.
Now, I'm not trying to say Asian girls are bad in general or anything, I talked to other Asian girls before her who were a lot more chill, things just got really complicated with her.
Anyway, so it's like, my girlfriend is from Brazil and she's of mixed Turkish-Italian-Moroccan ancestry. And I love her to death and she's totally adorable and gorgeous af. But it's like I can't escape from my past, and I keep forcing myself to think about how I used to be into Asian girls a lot and so I should be with an Asian girl instead because of this. And honestly it's painful as fuck because I know I love my girlfriend but I keep having unwanted thoughts that I should be with an Asian girl for no good reason other than that I used to be really attracted to Asian women. Having OCD and the unwanted bad thoughts that come with it is just hell, lol. It's like you love someone and another part of you just wants to destroy everything you have.

Personality is important but you always need to be attracted to the person so if typical asian looks (petite & dark hair) are what you're attracted to than that's what you go for. It's far less common now but traditionally people in the USA had the opposite preference & strictly enforced it. I remember when I was in high school (late 90's) an asian girl liked me but we never really dated because her parents wouldn't approve of her dating a white/non-asian man.

I'm 1/4 Japanese, 3/4 Native American and frequently mistaken for full Asian due to Native American essentially being the same phenotype as Asian (though a bit diluted these days). Culturally, I'm more 1/2 Japanese, 1/2 Native American because I was born and raised in Japan. After 9th grade, my mother moved back to her reservation in America and took me with her.
I find it creepy when someone is concerned about dating me because of them perceiving me as Asian. If their idea of complimenting me is calling me "Asian" or drawing attention to my Asian attributes, I want nothing to do with them. The reason is because their focus is on my heritage and ethnicity, not on me as a person.

Beats0nDeck I'm normally alabaster because I normally avoid the sun like the plague. However when I don't avoid the sun, I end up with what you would expect out of Asian skin...
Also, I can't find makeup in my shade because while I can buy the alabaster or ivory foundations at makeup stores, it's always too pink for my skin. So I end up looking like a pale Asian trying wearing makeup for caucasians. The palest makeup for Asian skins is many shades too dark for me, so I end up looking like a Ganguro girl who can't afford the white makeup to look even more gaudy.
That said, my eyes are also half way between Asian and Western. I have the Asian hooded eyes but also a more pronounced brow ridge like westerners have... So my face tends to also confuse the hell out of people at times.

They're actually saying that is'nt a turn-off so long as the guy meets their standards. You're actually wanting to make the "guy" seem somehow ominous and thus manipulate the response. Of course, if you ask a Nihonjin girl if she wants to date some sort of wacked-out pervert, she'll say "no."

In general, I hate that whole range of questions. No one ever asks if it is okay for someone of race or ethnicity X to exclusively date race or ethnicity X; it is always race or ethnicity Y. Implicit in the question is the assumption that group X must relate to group X and there is something inherently wrong with an interest in group Y. The most common answer in these kinds of questions I find is, “If they’re a good person, and like me for me, it doesn’t matter.”
To be honest, I think that’s a very healthy answer.
I’ve dated girls who said they only like white guys. But if they liked me for more than just the fact that I was white, then it didn’t matter to me.
Everyone has preferences, and who knows where those preferences come from? It doesn’t matter, really. If two decent people fall in love with each other, I think this is a good and healthy thing.
I have my own preferences, and every girl or guy I’ve ever known has theirs; we are products of our environments quite often, and what we love is what we love. I think it’s sad that these things sometimes have negative connotations.
    But that’s just me!

Yuta, I feel you phrased the questions to elicit an answer that might reflect your own opinion.
What if you phrased the question: There are those who use the term "Yellow Fever" in a derisive way, for men who find Asian women the most physically appealing and/or Asian women are more feminine than Western women. That way, it is the people who use the phrase "Yellow Fever" that have the "issue." Those who say "Oh, he has Yellow Fever" are the ones who just assume that a Western man won't take the time to discover the woman's personality and if they have a match between them. You could just easily say, a woman who likes tall men has "Giant Fever" when it is just a general preference. Or, if an Asian man had a general attraction to Scandinavian women; I guess we could mock his preference as, "Snowball Fever." How about men who are attracted to overweight women- is that "Bacon Fever?" Why mock or misrepresent another person's personal preference?
Also, you imply that the poor men who have contracted "Yellow Fever" are also looking for a "submissive woman."
Most men are really looking for a woman who stills knows how to be feminine. Any man who has ever actually been in a committed relationship with an Asian woman will tell that the "submissive woman" does not exist. Just get her angry and POOF the myth of the "submissive woman" disappears before your eyes and there, only a few feet away, stands a dangerous feline predator who's only contemplating one thing - how to hurt you. Run! She can be feminine to a man who expresses his love, respect and appreciation for all she does for you. Twenty-five years ago, I married an Asian woman and we have three children; am I to still be mocked that I have Yellow Fever? ...seriously, good luck with that "submissive" stuff.
I challenge you to redo the video. This time, ask the women how they feel towards THE PERSON WHO MOCKS a man with the derogatory term, "Yellow Fever" just because he has a personal preference for Asian women; he feels they are the most attractive in physical beauty and femininity. You will get a completely different answer. It is the person USING the term Yellow Fever, who is introducing a negative aspect on to another man's general preference. You will discover that Japanese women will be sympathetic to the men who hold them such high regard and not approve of people who use derogatory remarks towards those men. Perhaps, it is you who hold some resentment towards Western men who hope to date Japanese women? Hmmm? Just ask'n.

Richard Flaherty the translations from Japanese to English are not always the best because they never say exactly what the wording means......he asked questions in a way they would understand but simplified the subtitles

I've heard it used in a way as a joke to simply describe one's preference for asian women. To be attracted to certain physical traits is fine, and culture also can be a trait that can be particularly attractive.

I love your videos, what an inspiration to peer into dialogues half a world away and meet new ideas about what people think and feel about these interesting subjects.

@@marcus16999 Yup many white worshippers among them, broken little asian girls and racist pinkoid fetishists seem to go well together. Just as white girls and bbc.

I never understood the concept of yellow fever... I for one am very attracted to Asian women. I don't see what the big deal is. Attraction is ALWAYS the first important thing in any relationship... so of course someone is going to look in particular for the type of girl that he is attracted to. Then personality and stuff of course matters but people are lying to themselves if they think that attraction doesn't matter in a relationship. Its possible to have a relationship with someone you are not attracted to but much easier to connect with someone when you are attracted to them. That's why I think the whole concept of yellow fever is stupid. You like who you like. appearance first , then personality. 99% of guys aren't going to be with a girl just because they think they are hot if they cant stand them as a person.

Of course its stupid especially when that attracted is mutual, asian women aren't accused of having white fever. It's basically a tactic by white feminists to demonize white guys who date asian girls.

I generally don't have a problem with this, but my only issue, that oddly enough wasn't mentioned in either video, is when at person only dates someone for being Asian and does not care about who you truly are.

That last question you asked makes me want to go to Japan even more because America is full of people who lose their mind if you say you only date girls who don't have the same skin color as you.

Imagine missing your train to work in Japan and suddenly Yuta pops up and asks what it feels like working in Japan as foreigner.
By the way, you should totally do a video on working foreigners in Japanese companies!
