    I have so many button locks! lol Love my WMK Towser and the WMK exclusive black and red carbon fiber Begleiter 2 button lock! I did a blade swap and added a black stonewashed blade w/ thumbstuds to the Beg 2! Also just got my hands on the Lago from CJRB today! You should check that one out if you have not! Thanks for the amazing video Wayne!

    I'm surprised that there weren't any microtech otf knives in the list! I've got a utx-85 s/e in elmax, and it's been one of the best edc's I've ever had. When working with it, cut what I need to, slide it back in the handle and keep working. And when I need it, it's right there

    Pretty good list, I would say a couple knives Wayne missed would be the Sig K320, and any version of the Spyderco Manix 2 which I feel are a more affordable option to the Shaman 👍

    Oh and about Kizer.. i just got one of the newest begleiters and the edge is not cutting paper, the blade is far from being centered, the liners have funky sizes where they should have the same height. Still a cool knife.

    The Pyrite was back in stock yesterday at WMK! Quickly sold out in less than 24 hours. Picked up the same color you have, gray/blue; Planning to dye it. Their notification email works and alerted me when it was back in stock.

    I ordered the Vosteed Thunderbird about 2 weeks ago. Looking forward to it, with the dual flipper setup.
    The Laconico designed A.C. Centauri are also great knives. I have the small and large versions, excellent front flippers.
    The Sirius is on my future purchase list.

    Great list. Love my Thunderbird I just got and the qsp hawk continues to be one of my favs. Most kizers and civivi/we knives are all solid. Only adds I can think of would be some of the new sencuts like the sachse or Crowley.

    Don't sleep on the original Begleiter. It is a different action than the Begleiter 2. The original is on bronze washers and the 2 is on bearings. Breaking in the washers takes some time, however they are pretty good for what they are. (I have both as well as the button lock and the XL.)

    Great selections in all price ranges. Several of them are among my favorites. If I had to pick one it would be a tough choice between the Stinger and the Deka. The Deka would probably win. The one knife I would spend over $300 on would be the Sharp By Design - it’s a work of art.

  • @bpsdetailing8822

    I think the Hogue Deka in Magnacut for under $135 is the best bang for the buck high quality knife ever made. If Hogue could make a Deka with Magnacut and micarta scales it would be the best by a wider margin.

    Why are thin small knives gentlemanly? I’ve been trying to figure this out since I’ve heard the term over 2 years ago.

    • @tombrown4683
      @tombrown4683 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Landscaping Specialist, I guess they are for when dressed more formally. Carrying in environments where some may object to a larger knife, with a blade over 3 inches. I don't find myself in these settings more than once every couple of years or so. I won a Finch Buffalo Tooth in a GAW, it is my gentleman's carry, lol.

    • @JensenAzotea
      @JensenAzotea ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Back in the day Gentlemen weren’t known for hard field work but needed to dress well to show class so their requirements for a knife were different. Tom is right a smaller knife is less intimidating to people and a fancy knife makes people forget that it’s a knife piquing curiosity rather than fear. Also many dress clothes are of thinner materials so a smaller lighter weight knife lends to a better carry. That being said if you look at the custom knife market which can only be afforded by the those who have plenty of money you will find many of them are very large and heavy. We can also look at knife laws changing as well as so many more people carrying knives so the gentlemen’s knife is now more of a nod to the past rather than a true representation of current times
