      Great review. I own a 2015 atomic silver one and it is so much fun with lots of character. It feels just like an old 3 series without all the reliability issues. I previously owned an 08 335i and it was nothing but problems eventhough a fun car. The new 3 series are much softer and are too big. The IS is just perfect. Of course it could use a bit more power but I'm not complaining since 306 hp feels very quick on such a small car.

      @@MeynMotorGroup I am a current corolla owner (have had it since 2010) first and only car, it was and is a good starter car and daily driver. I am looking to upgrade and have a 2nd car that I use for semi daily use. I was considering the gt mustang but 2 doors, no trunk space and gas mileage... I have decided to go for an entry level luxury sedan. I hear that German cars tend to be expensive to maintain and also they break down quickly (5-7 years). Do you think the IS350 F sport is a smart buy? More so, a smart buy if I am looking to get a 2019-2020 so pre owned...is it worth buying this as opposed to a BMW etc and also going from a 2010 corolla? The price range for a used F Sport is do-able. Thanks in advance!!

  • @liudizzle

    I bought my 2016 350 brand new without even taking it for a test drive I just knew I was going to love it. It's so understatedly sexy and sophisticated with the perfect balance of comfort and performance. My only knock is the lack of interior storage and horrid gas mileage in the city.

  • @MrCarguy2
    @MrCarguy2 5 ปีที่แล้ว +19

    Frankly these were buried beneath the Germans by reviewers. They always were "BMW this Audi that" and didn't really pay attention to it
    But you did woke up the people about the real engineering of this car. I didn't even knew they were that good! Excellent review as always.

    • @MeynMotorGroup
      @MeynMotorGroup  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks so much! I agree I hate how this car and the RC F and other Lexus cars got buried. I do admit the BMW is pretty awesome and I will be posting that video next but, the BMW isn't yards and football fields ahead of Lexus like reviewers were saying. Lexus is truly in the same class and some of the comfort aspects of it will help some buyers make that buying decision

    I own a 2015 IS 350, so I can agree with your statements regarding the seats. However, I would say the reason they look so new, with so many miles, is because Lexus uses what they call "NuLuxe" on the F-Sport model which is not real leather. Personally I prefer the soft feel you get with these over real leather. Anyways, I enjoyed your video.

    I want to be more Smeagol like about this car but here we go...I've own mine for about 1 1/2 yrs, not a single regret. I feel this car is a great bank for your $$. I personally like 3rd Gen look over the others. Reliability is what you'd expect from Toyota\Lexus. Performance is great and there are a lot of mod options out there if you want more. Best 4 dr Luxury sport in the 20 - 30 price range (used) imo, mpg is also surprisingly great for what your driving. If you want to have some fun or need the quick get up and go, put it on Sport\+ and the steering tightens, the throttle response is right with your pedal and what most people don't talk about is that it allows the gas pedal to be floored all the way down (your not getting a power boost rather your using the car at it's full potential). Breaking is really good so expect to wear out your front pads faster, turning ratio is fantastic. Easy car to work on as well (I recommend you only use Lexus parts). Most people complain about the cup holder placement, the lack of storage room & infotainment system being outdated w
    o ts. Just know that this car was design as a luxury sports sedan...so be reasonable you're getting the "Sport" with a splash of luxury. Now, what I would change about this car....Having a hand E brake rather than the foot pedal but that's how Toyota\Lexus designs all their cars so tough sht! If you want more utility and less sport then you don't have to get the F-Sport package.
    PS: DON'T BUY IT!!!!!!

    I had my eyes on the Lexus IS 350 for many years. But decided to go with an Audi S3. Can’t go wrong with either car but the S3 is a rocket. Stage 2 is capable of High 11 second passes at the drag strip. Fun little car.

    I love my IS F-Sport! One neat thing about the LFA inspired dash - you can change the colour of the rev needle to red, which looks so cool in Sport mode!

    Because I live in the city, I absolutely love the length of my TSX. It's the perfect length for parking. Not quite compact as an ILX but also not humungous as the current Accord. Trying to find a TSX replacement has been tough because everything out is either too big or too small. And I wouldn't dare purchase a German import seeing as I keep my cars for 6-8 years. My short list is a '16/'17 Lexus IS or a current Honda CRV. Both have their cons but ultimately I want a vehicle with premium/luxury features but with a wheelbase close to my TSX.

      I would pick this IS350 for sure. The G70 is based off of the Stinger but it is definitley improved over the Stinger, the thing is neither of those cars can hold a candle to the BMWs or the Audis but this Lexus does. I think for a lot people getting into the IS350, they will like the way the power keeps building especially over the turbo engines. That being said I do have a 335i comparison coming out, and the german's have a better turbo set up where it has far less lag then the G70/stinger duo. Just my two cents
