Horizontal Levee Project (Pre-Construction)

This is a brief overview of our Horizontal Levee Project in the Baylands Nature Preserve adjacent to the City of Palo Alto's sewage treatment plant on the edge of the San Francisco Bay. This project seeks to protect the plant from sea level rise, continue and improve this section of the recreational walking trail, and reduce discharge pollution (nutrients, microplastics) impacts into nearshore surface waters.
