Yeah this song is definitely an accurate depiction. The sad part is the cycle continues until someone is "brave" enough to break it. Which sounds so easy but it's nearly impossible. If anyone is in this situation they should consider not just the physical risk of abuse towards your kids but you are actually causing irreversible psychological damage. The longer you stay the more your kids are affected.
