Yazik. This is the medley of her 2 songs. Usah diragui or don't be doubtful and diari hatimu or the diary of your heart are among her biggest songs, still being played on the radios until now. She wasn't clasically trained, but she did admit that her classes were in the studios and during live performances. Thank you for reacting to the young siti, the one whom we fell in love with, and still do until today.

You mean in Malaysia? But actually being that young is easier to sing compared to her now in her 40s. She must have a lot more stamina back then
He / she meant her popularity, fame, crowd acception n willingness to buy her ticket & stamina as well... No one will spend their money for any new artist ( less than 5 years experience ) unless a very fanatic fan or free concert :)

You know why I like your reaction so much? Because your honest face reaction could not lie whenever you react to every singers in your video, like you may be not smiling when some singers maybe mistakenly off note or making faults (which is normal for live performances). But seeing you smiling seeing Siti Nurhalizah singing throughout the performance especially on hard-runs and difficult techniques, prove she is another level and you face reaction couldn't lie that. And yeah she is still no. 1 singer in Malaysia. 😁

She has held on to the title of "No. 1 singer of Malaysia" since the late 90s when she really exploded on the scene and became a household name. I'd further contend that she is arguably the biggest malay star today across Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia (I'm Singaporean btw). No other star is adored and revered more fervently than her. The title was literally coined for her. And she still reigns supreme to this day. With regards to any classical training, Siti has always maintained that she had never had any formal training in singing and I don't see any reason to doubt her. If she had lied about that, I'm sure the truth would have been exposed by now.

Yazik I am happy to share one of the interesting facts on Siti Nurhaliza's concert in Singapore but I could not remember in what year, Siti Nurhaliza and Mariah Carey both of their concert quite near on the date. Siti's management worried on the selling of the concert ticket. Surprisingly, after Mariah Carey concert finished then followed by Siti's concert, the number of selling of the tickets had shocked all of the people and this shows that Siti is among the superstar in the eyes of the people.
She not only superstar....she always no.1....if u can react for her recieve awards....u will shockkkkkkk....every years..every month she win all awards....local and international'awards.....she can dominate all awards consistantly.....u can believe....pleasse react

yes, Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza or friendly known as Tokti or Kak Iti is the biggest Malaysian singer/artist/celebrity. I loved her since her debut in 1996. I was 8 back then. Tokti is a living legend. Love from Malaysia.
I've never heard of Siti's haters here in Malaysia. But many other singers in the industry probably hate her. She was like a threat to them. Just after debuted, she got multiple nominations and wins in Juara Lagu (music award) for many years straight until she decided to not compete at all from 2003 onward, iirc.

What even more interesting, she even win the category with her Live Album, Her Royal Albert Hall Concert Live Album has defeated other singer's studio album. In Nusantara (Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia) She wins Most Popular Artist for 10 years in a row at Planet Music Awards. The fact she did not received any vocal class is something that surprising.

Hi Yazik. This is actually her first ever solo concert, back in 1999. Can you believe she's only 20 years old here?
Siti never really had vocal training, like going to vocal teacher or coach. She did mention however, her vocal class is in the studio. Meaning she learn from musicians, composers and producers that she worked with, because I remember she said, she values these people because they are very knowledgeable and it's important to take the opportunity to learn from them. I think it also helped because she worked with some of the best people in local music scene. But in 2019, she had a vocal coach to help her get ready for her tour, because she just had a baby, she took quite a long break, so she needed a professional to help her with her voice.
Also, sayang can mean either baby, honey or darling, and both songs are her own.

To the older Malay generation nobody can beat Saloma and P. Ramlee at least as an iconic singer. You should do reaction to their Hong Kong TV appearance in the 60s. Siti is not one of the biggest stars, but The Star. Perhaps second only to the legendary P.Ramlee. Like him, Siti is also known for being modest and humble despite her talents. David Foster once compared Siti to Whitney, Mariah and Barbara Streisand but minus the attitude.

She sings beautifully but he did more - sing, act, write & compose songs, direct movies , write movie scripts - no one come close to being a multi-talent than P Ramlee other than M.Nasir. The late P. Ramlee captured the imaginations of the people and we know that his legacy. I love Siti for her voice and her voice alone, but I don’t worship her like she is god. Yeayyyy u finally react to this performance. 😁😁. Oh and btw I agree with you. Siti is most probably classically trained. Malaysian music industry never really transition into R&B not until recently, which is unlike the whole world. And the whole Pop, Britney/Christina thing happens a few years after her debut. Prior to that Rock & Adult Contemporary dominated the scene. So she is most probably classically trained. I think if there is somebody that we can compare her way of singing with, Barbra Srreisand would be a good example. Lots of crescando, lots of long straight belt notes, lots of long stretch vibrato, their voice is very emotive, very clear pronounciation, etc. Siti is like the younger more modern version of Streisand.
