Hey thanks, man! I guess I'm a quick learner I guess🤠, it really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Gotta get a bigger wheel soon! Thanks for stopping by.
Such bs. When I got on for the first time I was a natural. My friends still don’t believe it was my first time riding when I got on. I was going down full flights of stairs with ease in the first day.
I am 58 years old. I need to feel young and keep moving. I ordered my 1st wheel, a V8F off Ebay. I hope I'll be somewhat ok rider quickly. Wish me luck, ill need it
I thought it was weird that I didn't fall that much 🤷♂️. Oh well, everyone learns differently, at least you've got your big fall out of the way so you know that you need elbow/knee pads!
You give me hope! I am waiting for my first wheel and it seems that most people are taking a long time to get to beginner, you were off and running really quick. I Onewheel and for sure the key is to relax, same with skiing, snowboarding... when you are tight you cant absorb mistakes or bumps and you get thrown! Enjoy!
@@GingerOnWheels yeah...I think so! Def good things too come! Just watch out for gravel/sand on paths, carpets, bigger holes might throw you off and always be sure that you have enough space between the end of a footplate and an obstacle (also important when off road and turning) because once you hit something with a footplate it's nearly impossible to not fall off. ;) and you're set!
Mate you bloody crushed it like a beast 🍺😎🤟☝️🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙 ya killed it out there, thanks for giving us newbs some inspiration, (especially in the freakin turning) cheers bro.
Wow inspiring . I just got the emove cruiser recently and loving it. But the euc have me curious. I think i may get this someday as my first euc. Thanks! :)
Wow this is new i thought you said you were afraid of those things but i m into them too and i think they re cool, a small advice from me keep your knees bended a bit all the time this helps also with the riding but also if you fall your legs are already bended so it s gonna be harder to break a leg this saved me my leg from being broken to just dislocated that s what the doc said
you did surprisingly well on that, just be careful you don't overlean it, down the road id look into a 84v or 100v gotway msx. you can cruise at 30mph+ and your legs will get conditioned with time.
Your a great electric unicycle rider ginger dude 👍👍 I never had the balance for a skate board as a kid and i don't know if i would have the balance for a electric unicycle. Im 32 years old with mild autism and i feel the most comfortable and at ease on my 2 electric scooters =) i want to buy a electric mini bike or a electric motorcycle but i haven't decided on which ones to get.
Dope as man, I’ll have to try out a lower power unit my first time round when I bite the bullet too. Although, I’d probably end up updating knowing me so I think diving in hard then limiting it while I learn would probably be a better idea.
I knew you’re one of us the moment you said ‘you went for a five minute ride’ 😁 it took me three days to master personally, an hour or two every day, but I’ve seen people picking it up in 10 minutes! I certainly didn’t hear speed beeps on my first day either 🙃
This would be a good “final mile” for someone who can’t carry a scooter on public transportation. I’m wondering if boots with more ankle support would help, but yeah without being able to adjust your feet throughout the ride, I bet they are really sore and this would have to be more for short trips or just for fun. Definitely probably get a workout on muscles you didn’t know existed. This old man will stick to 2 wheels for now. Thanks for the intro to this and I agree used might be the way to learn on one of these.
I'm 56 and use this one for trips up 15 km and back. My feet and legs hurt for the first few weeks but as you get stronger and able to relax and move your fee while traveling that becomes a much smaller problem. Worst case just get off and walk every 20 minutes or so.
I'm thinking about getting one because of you guys ( you and wrong way). What as a scooter rider you think about the safety of euc compared to escooter?
Did better than me. I made the mistake of riding in a bumpy grass field though. I ended up having the EUC pedal bite me above my hightop boots and just below my shin guards. Got me very hard and my ankle is swollen and sore still a couple days later. I will have to try again on a parking lot. Good job though.
Oh yeah, all part of the learning curve. High top boots help for Achilles bites, but your shins and legs will be a swollen bruised up mess if you learn like most. I swear my shin bones still have ridges and bumps that weren't there before ...
I would highly recommend it. The 16s that I tried wasn't as comfortable and anything smaller than this v8 is just too small imo. You'll outgrow it too quickly.
Great but about the head turn. We do go so if your crashing try not to look at the ground or other obstacles. Feel the glide. Ps. Im upgrading to this or the F any time now. Ps. You said "these things are easy to get used too. I find young people have no problem, us senior citizens have natural fear of physical dama/recovery and deteriorating balance. Well I've been riding a year with a long learning curve my balance is better and the safety gear works, i don't want to shatter. I watched cause a v8 will likely be my next wheel and seeing how beatup yours is i like the endurance. I think i might miss speakers.
I'm not sure how big your wheel is now. But after 5 or 6 rides on it I'm ready for something bigger. It's a great wheel to learn on and practice balancing and turning at low speed. But it's not stable past 15mph or so. Takes a lot of work to keep it straight. I'm tall though so it might just be me. 6'2". There is also an ankle pad accessory that you can buy for this wheel that I don't have on there so maybe that could help. But. I rode a bigger 1500watt wheel and it was sooo much more comfortable and easy to use.
I'd buy a v8, it's a great wheel to learn on or for short trips. I own 2 other unicycles and I still use my v8 for taking out the trash and getting the mail and stuff. Just try to find a used one and if you ever find yourself not using it then you can also sell it used and get close to all your money back.
I was looking at that thing. Looks nice. Would you say thatd be a good wheel that I could take off-road and abuse a little bit? I'm ready to get my wheel dirty. 😜🤘 I need to check out some more of your EUC content. I basically bought this thing blind not knowing anything about EUC's or even knowing the specs. I just knew it was cheap and I wanted to learn.
@@GingerOnWheels yeah it's a beast off road. Really nice :) feel free to browse around! I started with V10, InMotion are great wheels for the beginning, GotWay is the Performance king :)
The v8. I got it used. I wish I'd bought something a little bigger, turns out I learn fast. But I still use my v8 for short store runs and to take out the trash 🙂
You learned that thing pretty quickly. This video was a couple of months ago, so you must be really good by now right? I watch the guys here in New York City ride those things with expert precision. It's impressive to watch. You be safe out there 👍🏽
