You can tell when someone has really grown up when they can tell their parents the truth or the truth about their parents to others without emotion. I was in my thirties before I could really do that. A lot of people really are more fortunate than they realize. Great parents or evil ones we all have to be honest about those relationships in order to be well adjusted adults. If you study a few key things you'll see how our system very, very much relies on this and, with certain pieces of information throughout the country's history you'll find some of the who's and when's helped to establish such sadness. Plenty of people are greedy and manipulative and for many different reasons. Granny is one those people and there have been many, with power, welding it throughout history causing nasty cracks and deficits in our country as well.
This sounds so crazy, I have a hard time believing it.
Its not as if public school prepares anyone for handling money.
Not that I disagree, but some points to consider. His sister had done the same thing. It could have seemed quite normal to him; she may have even suggested it to him. The question is where the parents in all this?
Fraud committed by family is more common than you would think. Sad that his grandparent is doing this to her grandkids. The betrayal is terrible. What's worse is then the thief blames the victim and will say why are you doing this to me!
Oh man, God bless Cody, that's horrible.
Horrible, sad for that family.
I’m a banker in Kansas. This sounds like a normal story I’d hear at the bank 😂
Kevin Perez I work for one of the big 3 banks. I’ve heard similar ones too. People are horrible.
yep, not uncommon at all.
Lots of horrible people out there...just because someone is family does not automatically make them saints.
Kevin Perez Wow!
Wish I had found Dave Ramsey much sooner in life
As soon as he said grandpa committed suicide after Grandma took out the $15,000 I went straight into the comments🍿🍿🍿😂😂
Thank you so much for taking him into your class. He could really use some help at that time. So how is he doing now?
Good going on the sister's part
I’m so pleased your putting that young man through your course, it’s sound like his a lovely young man and will go along way in life with the right guidance. Thank you Dave and I wish that young man all the best in the future god bless him.
Very interesting case. But if the Grandma would do such things to her grandkids, I wonder what she has done to their parents (her own kids).
Sis said, not on my watch! To jail you go! 😂
Good for the sister!!! Too many times family members look the other way. She caused the death of her own husband for craps sake!!
Oh my goodness!! This is super sad.
Takeaway from this, don't let anyone handle your money, not even your own dear sweet grandma.
“Either way is fine with me.” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Dave was loving this tea!!!
Wonder if grandpa had a large life insurance policy that grandma was going to cash in on 🤔
dustinmarie life insurance doesnt pay out on suicide. The only one that does is the military, even though they say they don't
@@2inchfromtheground some do after you have had the policy for at least 2 years but still won't cover sport related deaths such as sky diving, scuba diving etc.
@@2inchfromthegroundI think they were implied that she murdered the grandpa
One sad thing I realized is that friends, family, everyone, no matter how much you love and trust them, will never willingly hand over money they owe you. Never. They are more than happy to receive. They will go through all kinds of trouble to receive. But when it comes time to give back, they will not lift one finger. In fact they will probably put more effort into blocking it at every turn.. It's a very sad thing to realize.
Well that was depressing. Been there though, kinda. Wife's aunt was in a con ring that stole millions selling snake oil (fake medicinal mushrooms). Arrested at age 75, died in jail.
I am a grandmother and you can believe me when I say....the money flow is one way....and it's not in my direction!. I would never loan money to my family...I just give it to them...up to a limit.
Is it even possible to put this family back together again?
Yeah except grandpa
Yeah everyone except the grandmother thief
My younger sister started handling my elderly Mom's money.
I figure younger sister stole $73,000 over the years.
Now SHE'S mad a ME.
No reason he needs to have someone else run his bills. All he has is rent and utilities. Should take him 5 mins a month. He can even automate it.
Joshua Webb sounds like his spending habits are bad.
I just never could comprehend why someone would give anyone else responsibility over their financial situation
This is extremely sad and sounds like granny has a addiction of some sort as to steal from family
