I sold my first item on EBay today!!! Woo Hoo!!! Not thrifting yet, just clearing out things from my last move and a few family members homes. But I’m super motivated! Thank You for being such an inspiration. ❤❤❤
Congratulations! I have sooooo much stuff to sell and good stuff but the whole shipping thing has been holding me back for awhile now 😢
Keep going. You did the first one an that is the hardest.
👍
Wonderful
That’s amazing! I’d do the same but the whole process of dealing with people is daunting. I envy and am proud of you. Keep it going! Let us know how it is working for you. Maybe I’ll you’ll be the inspiration for one of us to dip a toe into world of casual reselling.
Tilso was my family's New York based business. They imported items from Japan. The business was named for my aunt Tillie and cousin Sonia
Cool!!!
Avon didn't make their own glass they actually contracted with Fenton to make some of their items. For example the Avon perfume hobnail milkglass bottles we're made by Fenton. My mom loved Avon products and it brings up wonderful memories. 💕
Fostoria also produced several designs for Avon as well
@@KirstinForman-sf7oy Wheaton Glass Company too out of New Jersey made glass containers too for Avon. Lenox also made some items for Avon as well. It still brings back wonderful memories.
I've been watching your videos for years and I really enjoy them, especially the goodwill ones. I'm not a reseller but I have learned alot from you. Thanks for the informative and entertaining times. I look forward everyday to your channel.
I have always admired your nails and just realized I am thankful they are not super pointy! 💁🏻♀️😉😄
The glass wheel barrel would make a cute business card holder.
The mountain is "Fuji". "Fiji" is an island in the South Pacific. And, yes, that was Mount Fujiyama
I did not know this, but I just googled lucite, thinking it was another name for plastic. Lucite is actually a brand name. It is the brand name of DuPont’s acrylic type of material that has the properties of plastic and glass, which means it is clear. It is heavier, as well, compared to traditional plastic.
Cool beans
Cradels Doll
We call it resin here in Oz
Yup.
Good deal didn’t know that it was a name brand..thank you!!
Those are called Sad irons, the valuable ones have a base and usually in blue and can have a porcelain handle. Someone has painted yours and if you would have grabbed those apple baskets,it would have made a cute display for your new booth
I think they go into the freezer then it keeps your drink cold ,always come around with you love love your channel lv Ann uk ❤️❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
A lot of commercial photographers would use those plastic ice cubes on a set. Love shopping with you 😻
Even tho it was Avon, the color was gorgeous, and it is vintage, and made well.
That raku coppery piece would have made a great fall booth addition!
I would have loved to buy that pineapple dish from you. Always pick up the pineapples. I will be watching for them.
A tip to you! Take a blanket or sheet with you to pad your shopping cart. It really helps with chipping and vibrations from the cart.
Love the Lucite Owl!🦉😍
Glass ice cubes are used for scotch and whiskey, so they don't dilute the drink.
I use them in pretty much any drink that’s better cold. I also have some made of rocks, so the drink is quite literally “on the rocks”!
plastic and glass ice cubes are put int the freezer and used for whiskey and brandys
The irons appear to be 'actual irons' from before steam irons. You would place the iron on your wood stove to heat it up and then iron your clothes.
Loved that red "Chocolat au Lait" purse. Looked for it online... what a score!
Yes, it’s to strain the tea when pouring from the pot.
Thank you. I was curious.
I would have bought the two lustery hobbyist planters. You have so much space to fill in your new booth and they were cool.
The glass ice cubes are likely Simon Pierce. I just sold a set for $49.
Wow!
I have a forest of those glass tree canisters. I display them with Christmas lights winding around the bases. I also fill some with tinsel. They really sparkle.
Loved the lucite owl, the pretty painted box too. Lots of great pieces today..
Fake ice cubes are expensive and great for creating realistic table settings for promotional photography.
Nantucket and Peterboro baskets are highly collectible.
Playing Billy idol ..nice day for a white wedding in the background..too funny ..about 7:30 in
Maybe buy an old quilt to "line" your cart so nothing moves around. Keep in the car for shopping trips.
I agree! Exciting items are so fun!
Awesome iron's my grandma had them as you said a door stop. I enjoy your videos ❤
absolutely love the milk glass finds! those were an amazing start!
Love the owl and sunflower dish.🎉
Pretty good trip. I think a lot of us are the same as far as picking things up that have to spark an interest or it sits on the shelf. Loved the milk glass
I have one of those old irons. I use it as a doorstop for my laundry room door.
The irons made like that use to be actual irons to do close back in the old days. They make a good collection item and yes door stops .. enjoy your trips shopping
Your so knowledgeable about so many things proud of you! California
Love watching you and seeing what you find 😅
I love milk glass , my mom and dad collected it when i was growing up . I still think it is beautiful. I have some myself, that belong to my parents .
This was a great trip, lots of unique finds!
What great finds. I love the old fashioned Irons. At home on the farm used them for door stops too
Please Stay Safe Happy and Healthy Have A Wonderful Day
I haven't listed much in the last two months because of health stuff for both me and my husband. Watching this video today I realized I need to be excited about the stuff I list instead of trying to organize by type of items, age of items, etc. I'm just gonna list the stuff I get excited about when I get back to it! Thanks for the advice!
Omg!…Amazing finds!…That’s so exciting!!😀
The glass wheelbarrow would make a lovely Easter centerpiece. Love your videos!
The glass wheel barrow I've seen used for sugar or sweetener packets.
Always so much good stuff at the Lemoyne Goodwill!
Your milk chocolate basket is nice. I do believe you're correct about the tea strainer. Nice pieces
Those amber ruffle edge bowls to the right at 1:28 looked to be Jeannette Iris and Herringbone Carnival glass.
The apple basket would be cute in the booth for fall.
Yes, that is a tea strainer for loose tea. You should have grabbed that Polish Pottery mini dish or coaster. It was in the Peacock Eye pattern with the official sticker and sells for $14 on the Polish Pottery websites.
the fake ice cubes are sold by department 56 to use in the villages that they sell. I have some that I use in the North Pole village.
Thanks! Another fun time relaxing and enjoying your shopping! I wish you could have been at estate sale I enjoyed Saturday. Whoa! You'd have gone bonkers!! Ha ha. Peace.
Thought the decorative irons may serve as bookends if they stand vertically. Always a joy virtual shopping with you.
$sallycrawford3782. I think those were real antique irons that someone painted. Yes, they r used as bookends 2.
I guess they could work as bookends, but when you set them up they are tilt backwards towards the handles, and don't stand straight up like most bookends
I’m so frustrated today, my Wi-Fi is on the blink because… we are experiencing Hurriquake in California. 🎉
Hurriquake sounds like one of those B-grade movies, like Sharknado!
It's insane out there! Praying for you ❤
Love milk glass especially knob hill milk glass
Love that owl ❤
Love the milk glass vases!
I liked them also but my goodness, 12.99???
Great video as always
Thanks for the video way to go. Great job bye
Really enjoyed.
Liked this haul!
fake ice cubes and other fake food like that does good for my granddaughter play kitchen! i actually look for stiff like that but it’s on sparse side so i personally think would be a good pick up !
I learn a lot from you about different types of glass and objects. Great finds!
Thenirons were used as bed warmers back in the olden days
Yes for Tea
16:00 Fake ice cubes fall in line with fake food. Great displays especially for food industry like bakerys, bar/restaurant, and even food photography. Idk about the ice cubes but some fake foods are worth good money.
Love your videos
Yes I want those wooden irons I have one that my mom gave me and I use them for wooden for doorstops
Always excellent and inspiring!!! 🤩🥰🤩
Jocelyn was that a Keith Haring bowl and plate with the red heart?
Loved the distinguished mouse figurine.
The mouse almost looked like Lladro
I have the canisters that match those butterfly shakers! They’re sweet.
Looks like that Restaurant Jackson dish had a Peacock on it........looked pretty cool!
That thick opening vase may be Bischoff.
The clear to green vase is Chinese. Chinese glass isn't necessarily a bad idea as it can fit a moderate price point for reselling.
My favorite item today is the red purse.
The old fashioned tea strainer is neat...
Yes I have that Iron that’s really heavy it is my mom’s and she painted it an owl on it and I use it as a doorstop
You have such a cute laugh ❤
The iron's you can be used for books to hold up one at each end .
We have the clear Christmas tree canister. We fill it with red and green m&m’s at 🎄 time
I have my Mom's and she used to do that and I do that with it still 😊
@@shannon_w. same! It was passed down from my mom and that was her tradition too😊
The leaf with flowers in blue I have. My mother in law gave it to me. I’m 79yo 550 TX
Hi , if u got the huge metal butterfly . You could bondit to fill the dent in the head of butterfly. sand to shape spray wiith the best gold paint u can find. Just a thought
I believe there were 3 pieces- 1 covered and 2 bowls of Amberina glass at the end of the shelf where you picked up milk glass😮
I am probably the only one to say but I love some Avon and that is one I would have loved to have. I like the fancy pretty Avon bottles not the cars or castles or perfume bottles like that .I would have bought that cradle from you. It was darling and the Avon and definitely the portraits. There were two of them . I love those things. But u passed them all up. Oh well.
Tequila is a Spanish word. A Tequilero used to refer to Mexicans who smuggled alcohol into the U.S. during Prohibition. Today a Tequilero de Primera is a certification of someone authorized to promote Tequila from Mexico.
I love using the antique/vintage doll/baby furniture and other baskets cradles for storing items, small glass items, tea cups/saucers, small linens, better to use those and keep them from ending up in landfills. Hope you are doing well Jocelyn
Did u see(I don’t know f u read these) another reseller in your area found a BUTT BASKET at GOODWILL that sold for 450$, I saw the word Peteborough Baskets thrown around but no info on the reason for 450$ value of the butt basket. Would like your thoughts on that when u have some…maybe you could do a video on baskets….might be something different than the goodwill shopping, just an idea…thank you for sharing your info…..
Good store and very good shopper
Are you ever annoyed by the excess use of packing tape Goodwill seems to be using lately???? I've bought a few pieces that have been ruined by the tape. 🤦
I saw two Longaberger baskets.
Wish you would come to Illinois. I have some great stuff that needs to sell!
I was at both places today myself! I got a beautiful Stickley chair for $25 and an antique Kerosene lamp converted to electric for $5. I don't like the dark creepy new shelves, though... As for the antique marketplace of Lemoyne, I found an antique porch light for $15, but ended up abandoning it because I got tired waiting at check out. I stood in that line for over 40 minutes and just couldn't wait any more. I had other things to do. Why does it take so long to check out? It makes me not want to go back there. I have been there three times and all three times the same problem. This was the worst, though. I just couldn't stick it out.
yes, loose leaf tea strainer
I like the elephant bank
Very interesting video, beautiful yellowish bowl that lovely, bag " chocolate du lait" might from France 🇫🇷!👍👌😉
Chocolate milk for the French tin purse ❤
"lait au chocolat" is chocolate milk. "Chocolat au lait" is milk chocolate, as opposed to dark chocolate
@@user-qc5qt4cf9z thanks you for clarification 💕
Thanks 😊
Joselyn, a hoodie or sweatshirt on in August? Oh my! 😃
I think I’m starting to learn that elongated glass pieces are good to pick up 😊
Nice stuff today
I saw a cat with one paw up for good luck ❤ they're collectible ❤
They are lucky cats, meaning money and luck, come come… Maneki-Neko, in Japanese.
