Excellent video George. Don't forget to take lots of photos and put small pieces in labelled ziplock bags. Trust me it helps when its time to reassemble. Good job mate.
Hey! Great video, I was wondering if you could explain more what you are doing? I got a little lost when you pulled the whole rod out with the impeller! Looking forward to the journey
It's counterintuitive, cooling water always needs to flow through to the exhaust, whether the thermostat is open or not. Water leaving the pump flows through a tee, if the thermostat is closed (cold), the low impedance path is through the thermostat housing and out to the exhaust header, if the thermostat is closed (hot), water is forced through the other path of the T and into the block.
Very cool George....where do you get your parts? I have one in my Albin Vega 27 sailboat. The cooling system leaks. Hard to find parts though. Just curious if you found a good source! Great video...keep them coming! Cheers from Canada.
I haven’t found any good place in Canada to find parts. I will let you know if I find any place good. For the fuel filter and oil filter I got them at Lordco and the water pipe i got at Martin Marine.
Keep up the good work.

Wow very interesting great video

I don't understand how cooling water gets into the manifold before the thermostat opens? Can you explain it to me please?

@@luckylulus9267 I think I understand, but where is the T or the path? Is is just after the water pump underneath the manifold?
