Ive been watching for years and I dont think enough has been said about the Father & Son relationship they have together...what a great example of how it should be. Nice truck too

They compliment each other as reviewers Tommy is more technical and the dad is more kid like just flooring cars and laughing all the time
The dealership R pickup video was truly humbling. It was so cool to see them be so thankful and happy for their success and how far everyone has came.
Where is that video?? I’ve searched through all the various TFL TH-cam channels but maybe I’m missing one? They have so many channels its hard to keep track of them, is there a parent channel that has all the sub-channels?
@@off-roadingcars I think it was on this channel (TFLTruck), but the thumbnail is of their traded in Bronco as the Raptor is blanked out to hide the surprise.

I know this is OCD, but living in a snowy area, it drives me nuts that you just step right in, you don't hang your feet out and clap them together to get all the snow off your boots first. Hehehe

I'm so jealous. Not of the truck, of the snow. It was 70 degrees where I live yesterday, in February, that's just wrong.

I think the exhaust tuning is the innovation the world needed from a super truck. Good on Ford for doing this. When I'm at a campsite I don't need to be obnoxious, but can open it up at the sand dunes. A good onroad & offroad balance

Do people actually like those decals on the sides? I always thought it was tacky (same for every brand). Cool truck none the less

Love them. They satisfy my inner 14 year old and make the vehicle faster. It’s never going to be a subtle vehicle, so go all out.

Lol it's so weird to me seeing fresh snow and seeing anything other than people racing to the ski resort. I admire your dedication, esp in Colorado the temptation must be high.

Ford did very well in designing that truck. I would never consider buying one for the price, but...beautiful truck!

When you change the drive system mode, it does not only change 4x2 or 4x4, it also change the mapping of the throttle and the transmission.
The fact that the Raptor R doesn't come with rear wheel well liners blows my mind. The car market is so broken right now.

All F150s are that way, they don’t need em tho, why? B/c the entire truck is made out of aluminum & won’t rust/corrode. There are very few vehicles that can boast an all aluminum body, no other “normal” truck or SUV can, only exotics & high end luxury vehicles. So there’s that.

Agreed! Would love to hear what you guys think as positives and negatives for both trucks. Personally I'd take either one, but don't really want to give up my GT500 for one yet.
Those BFG all terrains are awesome in the snow. I had a half worn set on the back of my 89’ Ranger XLT, and in 5-6 inches of snow, I never even needed my 4WD. They would just plow right through. And 2wd in 6 inches of snow means it’s donut time haha 😂

I honestly think that the R does stand out enough..just enough that people start expecting more than it becomes too much more. Excellent design transitions from gen 1 throughout. You know that it would be awesome to have Ford dedicate a Ken Block signature Raptor! Just thought of that writing this comment!
The red R in Raptor against the color of the truck makes it read “APTOR” (right side) and “Rapto” (left side). 😂

i love it when kids get out in the snow and play. nice truck but too much money for my budget. southern maryland has been without snow this year. we normally get at least a couple inches to play around in.
I have found with my 21 Powerboost that the 4A mode is quite amazing in snow and ice. I just have the stock Wrangler Territory ATs and I’m shocked at the capability/ confidence/ braking that the system inspires. This is important when your driveway is a somewhat steep hill. I only use 4H or 4L in off-road situations; in snow 4A is more than capable.
I bet that Powerboost has all the power you need. Sounds sweet
@@0223Jeremy No complaints here, 18k on the odometer and only one issue in the first 2k (fixed quickly by Ford). I can’t imagine driving the Raptor with 700HP; it has to be bonkers.
@@IGmeanwell absolutely has to be lol I have an older lariat with the old raptor engine in it and it’s amazing. Can’t imagine 700HP or your Powerboost

I like the understated designation for the Raptor. You don’t need obnoxious pipes.. it would just be someone trying to compensate for something.
Let's be honest here: anyone who buys this truck will 24/7 have it in it's loudest mode, because anyone who pays $100k+ for a truck is already compensating for something.

It wouldn't surprise me if Ford had a "sound symposer" in this truck. After removing the one on my Fiesta ST I have no idea why Ford ever thought it was a good idea. It just clutters up the induction noise. But you wouldn't be able to tell it was there until you remove it and hear the difference.

I like it just fine. The 'R" is for the roar of the engine. Very nice, in and out, and a very nice powertrain. Come on GM, put a 6.2L with supercharger in the Silverado.
the V engine and trans from Escalade, it shifts very fast too, but they would have to spend the money and upgrade all suspension brakes maybe axles, whatever similar Ram and Ford did and it would go also nuts expansive i guess, maybe they could differentiate by offering more base equipped rest of the truck to keep price in 70s which could attract some buyers
I think the R needs a black outline cause it looks like it says APTOR on the side lol. That being said, I wouldn't change the color👍

I wish my f150 5.0 didnt have 4a. Had to have my front diff rebuilt twice under warranty bc its partially engaged even in 2wd and they can make front diff worth a d*mn apparently

Really appreciate this vid. Can you set the remote start to start in quiet mode? A nod to the neighbors while it's warming up, on cold winter days especially. Is there no "deep snow/sand" mode like in the other 150's? "Slippery" mode is great, but there are times when more is useful. Also, do you notice any issues in the snow with that extra wide wheelbase, maybe always having the raptor outside of the track's made by normal, narrower width vehicles? That is a concern of mine, wider than ruts or snow tracks on highways as examples, and always slipping around a bit as a result. Oh, and lastly, do you know if there are real, softer rubber snow tires, not just the 3 peak all seasons or all terrains, available in both 35's and 37's? Living in ski country, I've always liked real snows Thanksgiving to Easter, and 3 peak all terrains Easter to Thanksgiving? What are the actual measurements of the stock 35's and 37's? (For instance my little Jeep I want to replace, has 235/70 R16's). Thanks. And as usual, another great video!

I'm not a Ferd fan but I have to admit that the Aptor is a cool, if not overpriced, truck. One of the last hurrahs of the American supercar/supertruck.
