Hi Adrien! That was so nice of you to help out all those folks whose tents blew over! You’re a great human being and an inspiration!! God bless you during your training leading up to Umstead!!!
Hey Kevin! It was the least that I could do! I know how tough it can be out there and didn’t want people coming in to soaked clothes and nowhere to get warm. Also, check your email, I sent you one in the last couple of days about Umstead. Could use your help if you’re available!
Wow, you did so amazing!! It was fun to see myself behind you!! I was there for 52, no more no less😂. Good luck at Umstead. It will be my 1st 100. I learned a lot at this race and learning lots from your videos as well.
Hey Lindsey! Thank you so much! Great job getting your qualifier, what a great race to do it at! And thank you so much for watching my videos, I’m so glad I could help you! Unfortunately I got a stress fracture during this race and broke my hip. 🤦🏻♂️ I’m going to try to make it out to spectate at Umstead but I won’t be able to run this year and I hope to see you there. Be patient, follow your plan, and I know you’ll crush it! 💪🏼
@@MountTinMan oh gosh, I am so sorry that happened to your hip. With your strong ultra mindset, I know you will recover hard and be back when your body’s ready. You’re an inspiration and if I see you Saturday, I be will be sure to run a few miles for you.
In the end I think it was overuse but more specifically I usually alternate run/walk in my training and races but in this race I ended up walking A LOT! I think it was just too much prolonged stress from not throwing in some running here and there.
@@MountTinMan That's interesting. I'd think that running would have more of an impact that would cause a fracture, but you would probably know better than most. I'm glad to see that you are on the mend!

Great running with you! I'm ready for Umstead under 20, then 5 minute mile training 😁
It’s going to be a great training cycle, assuming I can get my act together. 🤦🏻♂️ Excited to see what we can accomplish this year!

@@LindseyHikes-rw8ti ❤️I really appreciate that, it means a lot to me. I can’t wait to see you crush it! 💪🏼
Wow! Amazing! You’ve done it again even with stopping and helping. Definitely could have prob gotten 100 otherwise. Total beast runner.
Thanks Matt! Turns out I had bigger problems that day! Focusing on recovering and I hope to do many more runs with you later this year!
@@MountTinMan hope you heal soon and we can run together.
You've got this!!!
Thanks, Dan! Fingers crossed! 🤞🏼
Do you know what caused the stress fracture?
